My son and I love coming to Texas Roadhouse for a delicious meal and great service. Now that he's graduated from the "kids" menu (he's almost 12) he lives ordering their 8oz sirloin. It's always seasoned perfectly and he likes it medium rare. What we love the most is all the very attentive staff that make every meal a pleasure. It's fun reading all the signs and eclectic decor as well. Tonight we had Jaden as our attendant..what a breath of fresh air..he took great care of us and even took time to chat to my son. We finally actually ate there like all TRH's good friendly atmosphere food was what we expected from eating at this franchise in the past. Waiter was great but was slow with the bill we waited for 15 min after finishing our meal. They must be short staffed because they had people waiting and there was a section of open tables. The food is one step above an Outback, you know what you're gonna get- not amazing and not terrible quality food. Just satisfactory. Service was attentive on a very busy night. Simple salad, some bad lettuce some old tomatoes, rolls and butter was amazing! Had the grilled chicken and hubby had a medium filet. Cooked fine, heavily salted. Place is just average. I gave it 2 stars for the waitstaff, Riley. She was the best. However, the food is delivered by another staffer and we had look for Riley to let her know all the food on the table ordered was barely warm. The chili has shredded cheese that never melted. They replaced the 2 chilis with 2 cold ones. I never ate the chili. The only hot food on the table was the baked potato. My steak tips dinner was not hot, almost cold. How do I give negative stars? We went to the 1150 Blackwood Ave Ocoee, FL location. Long story short, There was a hair in our food, we ate almost the entire basket of bread before we found it, who knows how many more me, my wife or my son (1 yr old) ate. When we told the waitress She said, "oh." just turned around and walked away. ‍ The place was packed with people, no wonder management doesn't care, because no manager came over to apologize or even catch us in the parking lot on the way out. My family visited Texas Roadhouse a couple of nights ago after spending a long day at a nearby theme park. Our waiter, Bracus, was simply amazing. We have never had a dining experience quite like this, and I highly doubt we ever will again. Bracus asked for our names at the beginning of the meal and treated us like friends he'd known forever. He was attentive, thoughtful, personable, funny and an all around pleasure to be near. COVID NOTES: This restaurant is offering a check-in process so you don't wait inside. You check-in and stay in your car until they text you to come in and are quickly seated. Everything is wiped down (sometimes still sort of wet) and tables are cleaned continuously. Seems to be a regular menu with no limitations. The lunch specials are a great value. I got chicken tenders, fries, and a salad. The whole cost was under $15. The salad was great and came to the table quickly. The rest of the meal did take a while longer than expected. We actually had to grab to-go boxes shortly after being served to get back to work on time. The fries are huge steak-cut fries and delicious and I think I got like 8 tenders!! We had the best dinner tonight at the Ocoee location. First of all, our server was the best we have ever had. Yena was fun and on top of literally everything. Our food came out just as we ordered it and very fast considering how busy they were. Had cravings for a burger and this location popped up in our search. Ordered the bacon burger. Cooked to medium and with onions. Burger came out cooked good but the bacon was there, but little appealing about it. The two slices were cold (well, room temperature) very leathery-chewy and maybe 75% cooked. I did like the grill taste of the burger! The bun was soft and a plus. My dining partner opted to use a leftover warm yeast roll for her burger. The fresh tomato and crisp lettuce was left on the side per request. I prefer to eat these separate of my burger bites. Yeah weird, whatever. Okay, now the real issue is with the "steak fries". Does anyone really like these thick, dry and grainy-texture typically associated with this side dish? Not only that, both our plates had room temperature servings. Waste of money and resources when served like this. Opt for something other than steak fries- not worth the trouble. I tried to add a photo of this pile of kinda soggy looking pile to my check in photos but lost the picture due to slow/bad internet connectivity in the facility. Does anyone in restaurants ever monitor the volume of returned, soon to be garbage from their dining room at restaurants? I think all servers & table cleaner's should be asked to start noticing and reporting to management the more frequent uneaten entrees / side orders. My wife and I have eaten at Texas Roadhouse in Ocoee five times since moving to Winter Garden. I have to say, every single time the service, the food quality and the overall attitude and work ethic of the staff is second to none, and we eat out a lot. This past time I was so impressed with the young man (Julian) that cleaned the table, dishes, etc. His work ethic and work quality was outstanding.. It's been a long time since I felt compelled to tip a bus boy, but he needed to be acknowledged. The manager, our server, all top shelf and the Man that prepared my 24 oz prime rib got a nice tip too.
