Popeye omelet
Roberta K.

Another great family breakfast..... we started out with fried zucchini. ( I know WHAT) I just live their fried zucchini and have to have some every time we go. Mom had the Popeye omelet. She opted for sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes today because she wanted one of their famous huge homemade biscuits. My boys had French toast and a waffle combo with eggs and bacon. I also had a waffle combo but with ham. Always great service and fantastic food. Huge portions at a great price. I had to add a picture of my coffee mug. So cute.

A true American diner. I've been eating here for years and it's always great. I get the skillet #1 with the biscuit. Always friendly staff and the place has an old world charm.

I love diners, especially neighborhood, mom and pop, so this is a solid place for a home-style breakfast. No fuss, nothing too fancy. It was pretty busy but the wait wasn't too crazy. The menu has a lot of options. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something casual and I'll probably be returning to try other dishes. I ordered the waffle combo with eggs, bacon and hash browns.

I have had a door delivered menu from Carlo's on my desk for several years. I am from NJ, land of the diner. So, I finally made my wY to this spot. One word - DELICIOUS! Beat diner food I have had in Florida. I enjoyed a fried chicken club with fries. Simple and expertly prepared, served piping hot. Great friendly service. It's real close to home in a neighborhood I've never been before. I'll be back regularly. I had another go-to diner which shall remain nameless as I have nothing but praise for them. But Carlo's is now it for me when looking for comfort food.

Drove by here on a whim and decided to give it a whirl. Glad we stopped by. The food was good. The service was impeccable. The vibe was very calm and had a lot of locals that you could tell easily that they come in alllll the time. I ordered the wagon wheel which was good and my guest got Carlo's special. The prices were super reasonable and all the food came out hot as soon as it was ready. I like that the kitchen is in view of the seating area so you can see the magic happen. Our server was super awesome. My guest accidentally left his phone and she brought it out to us. Overall the stars are for service, decent food, and cleanliness.

Wagon Wheel breakfast: beef fritter w/sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns

We wanted to find a local spot to have Christmas Eve breakfast and chose to try Carlo's. It was a great choice! It looks very unassuming from the outside, but don't let that turn you away. Once you walk in, the atmosphere is bright and clean. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I chose to try the Wagon Wheel breakfast which has a fried beef fritter (like country fried steak), with sausage gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash for my boyfriend and I to share. Our meals came out quickly. All of the food was quite good. The corned beef hash was perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beef fritter was delicious and the gravy was one of my favorites! The eggs and hashbrowns were a little bland, but nothing salt and pepper didn't fix. It helped that they were cooked well and not greasy like many diners. I am not a big breakfast food fan and it takes a lot for me to like a breakfast out, but this was a good one! I will definitely return.

Jerky Liver & Onions with no flavor mashed potatoes

Known this diner to have good food from the local recommendations so I decided to try. Menu was limited which to me means what they have listed is probably their best dishes. Closes at 2. I ordered the liver & onions with mashed potatoes. Was the worst I ever had and I have had a lot! The liver was like jerky and not seasoned during cooking and the mashed potatoes were out of a box and can tell used water to make it was so bland no salt or butter used. Really not edible! The one thing was decent was the brown gravy. I see that people were eating hamburgers and those looked good. For a small hole in the wall was hoping for something spectacular but was a fail! Will try the hamburger next time and give this place another shot. If it is better I will change my review.

They have a great covered outdoor seating area and their inside, while small, is cozy and homey with pictures of dogs all over the walls. I ordered the sweet potato tacos, and they were so flavorful and filling. It's a BBQ restaurant but there are definitely lots of good vegetarian options. Great local spot that I'll definitely come back to.

My husband and I finally made it to Yellow Dog Eats after having it on our list for months, and it…read moreabsolutely lived up to the hype. The Vibe: We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed, which we took as a great sign--and it was. You walk through a fun outdoor patio before heading inside to order, and the space is incredibly unique--colorful, eclectic, slightly hipster, with dog photos and quirky decor everywhere. The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.
