Apparently this was a tough request. Once we cleared this up, payment was processed and I took a seat at a booth. Coffee order was brought out in a small plastic cup. Yes- plastic cups. Mmmm, hot liquid served in plastic is my fav. (I'm kidding of course) worse yet, the coffee was straight up awful. Truly, it was bad and I hate to even say this. I know a small biz needs all the love it can get and I REALLY wanted to love this place. I even had an extra shot of espresso added and this drink wasn't even as good as a gas station. I'm a huge espresso lover. I have a fancy machine at home but I love to support coffee shops when I'm out running errands. There are very rare times that I have negative comments. Cinnamon and sugar bagel was our favorite, but still not GREAT. Rosemary salt was pretty good too, but again, not crazy good. GreenWise Publix bagels we thought were just as good and cheaper. These were definitely good, but we would just go with the cheaper option. That said, this is being reviewed by a New Yorker, so standards are high! Just outside of Apopka and in the heart of Zellwood is this "gem of the south". It's just what you'd expect. Nothing fancy at all. Old family style booths, tables and even a counter by the kitchen window. This really is a place to bring your newspaper or a good book, sip on some good old coffee or sweet tea. The breakfast is very old southern country. They will make it how you want .... They also have waffles and pancakes and all the fixings.
