Service? The bar at Shade House is filled with the BEST ladies. Vibe? It's vibin. If you're looking for a good craft beer, their selection is always changing and focuses on local brews for about $6 a pop. They have a happy hour of cocktails for $6 a pop as well. 10/10 I live here now.

Then at night the space transforms to be a full cocktail bar with food options , live music, and visiting food trucks and a nighttime farmers/creators market once a month. Plus, seasonally, it's a Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Tree Farm! The large deck includes lush plants, picnic tables, cozy Adirondack chairs, and is bookended by a fabulous bar and stage for live music. I cannot say enough good things about this space and its owners. They are part of the push to create community in Apopka through offering engaging quality businesses and venues (these are the people behind the future Hall's on 5th food hall right on the same street!). I have been coming to Propagate since we started building our home and have really enjoyed seeing their business flourish over the past few years. They have a loyal customer in me and I cannot wait to see what's next. I digress, the service at The Shade House is stellar, the cocktails are creative, and the vibe is an extension of Propagates but with some added spice. You guys outdid yourselves on this one.

The cocktail bar is the main draw for me, elevated, beautifully crafted drinks, but still relaxed enough where you can show up for a casual beer too. You can dress up or keep it chill, and either way it fits. It's also a food hall, which makes it even better. You've got multiple options all in one spot--Thrive Cocktail Lounge & Eatery for sushi, plus BBQ, vegan options, and dessert, so it works for literally any group. They host farmers markets, comedy nights, and different events, so there's always something going on. It's perfect for families, but also such a great date night spot. And I have to shout out Mel behind the barher espresso martinis are stunning every single time. Honestly, I'd come here weekly if I could. The vibe alone makes it worth

It's got six different food vendor options and a bar with a crazy amount of seating inside and out! We gave two vendors a try: Brave BBQ and Sweet and Salty Island Grindz At Brave we got the Piggy Smalls (a pulled pork sandwich) with Burbon BBQ sauce and Mac and cheese. The sauce was perfectly seasoned with a little kick of spice at the end. At Sweet and Salty we ordered the Chicken Katsu. It is made to order so there was a bit of a wait, but it was totally worth it. The chicken was the highlight of both meals! The layers of flavors on the tender chicken, the extra crunchy breading! I'd come back just for that. Yum!

The bagels were perfect and you can tell everything is made with care. The music adds to the vibe, and I love that they always have different things going on like pop ups, markets, and social events. It feels like a place you actually want to hang out at, not just grab food and leave. Heads up: come early because they run out of their specialty cream cheeses fast, especially the garlic and chive. Definitely worth it though.

No exterior sign at all. Found my way inside and it took a few moments to be acknowledged. That's ok, baristas were busy, I get it. I was slightly underwhelmed at the dark interior. It was no where near as clean or charming as I had expected. Once greeted, I asked if I could have my Americano in a mug instead of a to-go cup. [Insert confused face here]. Apparently this was a tough request. Once we cleared this up, payment was processed and I took a seat at a booth. Coffee order was brought out in a small plastic cup. Yes- plastic cups. Mmmm, hot liquid served in plastic is my fav. (I'm kidding of course) worse yet, the coffee was straight up awful. Truly, it was bad and I hate to even say this. I know a small biz needs all the love it can get and I REALLY wanted to love this place. I even had an extra shot of espresso added and this drink wasn't even as good as a gas station. I'm a huge espresso lover. I have a fancy machine at home but I love to support coffee shops when I'm out running errands. There are very rare times that I have negative comments. Sadly, this was one of those rare occasions. On the bright side- clean restrooms & fun art on the walls. And I was able to snap some cute shots with a retro filter.

There are table games, like Jenga, and different kinds of seating all over. The ace throwing has stalls on the opposite side of the establishment. The bartenders are awesome, and of course I had to get my staple, an espresso martini. They add a cute decoration ontop in the form of two axes AND it's made with Lineage espresso. The food is delicious. I had the 2600 which has a heaping amount of filet pieces. It's served with chips and is so yummy. This is a cute place for date night or hanging with friends! I've even went in here and there were Salsa lessons. Ask the staff about their upcoming events.

This place does a great job with getting everyone started and teaching you safety. We also added knives to the reservation. I love this place, everyone is there to have fun and they always have coaches around to help you improve your form if you have questions. Their bar is also great and they always make a good drink. It's got a nice sitting are to stick around and enjoy a drink after throwing too. I did dock one star because they wouldn't refund us for the 2 no shows, they said we could either take an extra half hour for the 4 of us or call the owner later, it just seemed more complicated that necessary. I would understand a non refundable deposit and then charging full for whoever shows up, but charging full for no shows seems odd. Either way I'd definitely recommend this place! It's great for friends or a date.
