Metro Diner has comfort food at reasonable prices. The food was well portioned and tasteful. I especially enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. The cinnamon butter adds additional flavor and is sinfully good.

This review is based on Grubhub delivery. My coworkers & I ordered. All our food was made correctly and arrived on time & hot. Thanks to employees for their attention to detail to make sure our orders were packed up nicely & all utensils & condiments were provided. Get that double decker BLT with cheesy grits. Yummmm

I'm so happy Metro Diner has Mimosa Flights . They're really good . The flavors are -Pineapple -Peach Mango -Orange -Strawberry Lemonade They also have coffee flights too which I plan on trying on my next visit. I ordered the French toast and Chicken meal. It's listed on the menu as chicken & waffle, but I subbed the waffle for the Croissant French toast instead. Everything came out very quickly. They have sauce mix that goes well with the chicken ( mix the Louisianan hot sauce with the maple syrup ) it's like a sweet & spicy taste. The ambiance was super busy , so I added myself to the waitlist while parking so they texted me when to come in to be seated , so that's an awesome feature. My waitress Blaine was Amazing and so knowledgeable and sweet . Everything was good .

It was Valentine's Day and Metro Diner had the inside decorated for the holiday. We waited a good 25 to 30 minutes for a table for 2. As soon as we walking in, we saw the specials board and saw they had Strawberry Shortcake Waffles. I had to order the Fried Chicken Tenders and Strawberry Shortcake Waffles with a Cranberry Juice. The order took 5 to 10 minutes to get our food. It was delicious. The service was good. Our server made sure we had everything we needed. I can't wait to come back again.

I remember when Metro diner first opened years ago. The quality of food has really improved over time and their philosophy. The service was very good even on Valentine's Day. The service began with our waitress and on with the next two levels. The General manager as well as the regional director. A great dining experience begins with great service from the team and management. Typical Metro diner local atmosphere. Now the food. Great dishes. Enjoy the photos below.

I am GF and was surprised to learn that they had a whole GF menu! They made my meal, but before they brought it out, the waitress said that she was notified of accidental cross contamination and that they were fully remaking my meal. I was super appreciative of that and it sounds like they are aware of GF needs. I am 1000% going back. The food was delicious!! The diner itself is a cute little spot with a classic diner vibe.

Saturday afternoon feeling hungry invited a few friends out to go try this place with me. You know the one that has the giant green lettering. Pleasantly surprised the restaurant was a lil busy but not rushed. soft music plays in the background, sounds of conversations from other tables but not noisy. We were seated and drinks were ordered the lemonade was good and cold very refreshing, I order a Caesar salad with tomatoes and sliced red onions, the battered fried fish and fries was scrumptious crispy lil morsels of deliciousness served with both hot sauce & Tartar sauce was a good touch could've used some freshly squeezed lemon which was provided yummy The service was exceptional re/filled glasses at the sight, offered a detailed description of the menu. Fast friendly and knowledgeable our sever was the bomb.com.

I've been to Metro several times in past (pre-Yelp days). I've always enjoyed the breakfast. They had several specials written on the chalk board. I was conflicted on this visit because my appetite hadn't returned after my workout. I didn't want to order anything too heavy or too big. I went with oatmeal, a side of sausage patties, and coffee. They serve a good size portion of oatmeal. The french vanilla coffee was delicious. Service was good. The server let me customize the fruit bowl that accompanied the oatmeal. She topped off my coffee multiple times.

My family and I decided to stop at Metro Diner for breakfast/lunch. We were seated in a booth rather quickly. Our server was very kind and did a great job of checking on us. Two of us chose lunch and one chose breakfast. The Double Decker BLT with onion rings and a deli pickle was a huge hit. The breakfast order was fried chicken Benedict with the cheesiest grits. Alone this dish was good. The chicken was yummy. The biscuit was delicious. The poached eggs were more hard boiled but good. The cheesiest grits were the best part of this dish. They had great flavor and just the right amount of cheese. The ambiance in this restaurant is a beat of bustling energy with louder voices sharing a chat. If you like quiet while you dine this is not the location for you.

Have been here a couple of times already and i love this place. Usually i get my order to pick up on my way to work. Great location and staff i so friendly and welcoming. Inside and outside seating. Food is so good, reasonable prices and big portions. I have try the bacon egg and cheese croissant, chicken salad croissant, bissell breakfast platter, and roasted turkey plate. Everything is so tasty.

I stopped here for a quick lunch with my girlfriend. The place looked nice with plenty of seats available inside and outside. The staff was very friendly when taking our order and when we needed something extra. However, there were some things that I'd like to point out that I didn't like. First, the utensils we received were dirty. Also, the bathroom was not clean. We ordered a cinnamon roll pancakes and biscuit with gravy. They were fine, but after we ate them we felt a bit sick. Maybe we just had bad luck.

This was a breakfast excursion at 7:30am (EST) on a Sunday morning with a friend. Easy parking. When we left a number of people were doing carry out so they have that too. I ordered two eggs and the blueberry/lemon pancakes with water and cranberry juice. My friend ordered eggs, hash browns, Sausage and toast. We both commented that the food was excellent and the service was grand! I liked the ambiance - I would call it retro. The restroom was easy to find and very clean. The restroom decor matched the restaurant.

On my first visit, I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Pancakes with link sausages and a glass of orange juice. The pancakes were delicious, the sausages hit the spot, and the orange juice was... well, you know... orange juice. It did its job! The atmosphere reminded me of a classic country diner--cozy, welcoming, and filled with an older crowd, which I honestly prefer. One thing I really appreciated was being able to seat myself. That's always a plus in my book. Sometimes being escorted to a table means ending up in that one awkward corner nobody wants... but I digress. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily come back. My significant other, however, wasn't nearly as impressed. Oh well--you win some, you lose some! Sometimes breakfast is just a pancake split decision.

Fun fact, diners were started in New England region of America in the 1850s. All this to say, I love a good diner. I mean the American diner has always been there for middle America. The closest one to me and honestly it's definitely hidden away is the Maitland Breakfast Club. It's pretty much situated on the boundary line of where the City of Altamonte Springs starts. They have large space that's casual and what you would expect for a diner. Anyone can walk in wearing their Sunday best to pajamas. The waitresses are very welcoming and exactly the kind of person I would expect to invite me into a diner. We had gone on a Saturday afternoon and they're not a diner that's open late, so more of a breakfast diner really. Now I got the eggs Benedict with bacon and hash browns. For me, there are three breakfast staples I believe all amazing must revisit breakfast places should have. A good cup of warm regular coffee, eggs Benedict, and good crispy hash browns. I mean some places have other things like lattes and hash brown bowls, and I'm not saying those aren't good. However, when you nail the basics, you can do anything else. The hollandaise sauce was great and didn't split and bacon was crispy. The hash browns were super crispy, which I loved, and I could tell it had been made on a flat top grill, which is another very classic American restaurant kitchen appliance. The cup of coffee was good, I mean they had the sugar packets and the creamers right there. Overall, I would rate it a 9/10 and it set us back about $15 for just my portion. I will be back (said menacingly), Maitland Breakfast Club.

Johnny's is a classic, somewhat nostalgic for me, diner experience, the servers were attentive and the coffee was nice and strong but smooth. This reminds me a lot of the Greek diners I went to all the time while growing up in Western New York. Our food came out fast, and everything was good. I got the biscuits and gravy and hash browns. the biscuits and gravy was comforting and the hash browns were actually my favorite thing, they were nice and crispy. My husband got the Greek omelette and hash browns and was happy with his meal as well. As mentioned before the staff was attentive and very nice. Coffee and drinks were being refilled before you noticed you needed it. I think they handle the weekend crowd very well. By the time we were leaving there were people waiting for tables, but it was a very large party so that's to be expected. Just be prepared for that if you come at peak hours. The restaurant itself was homey and gave that classic diner feel. Everything was lived-in, in a cozy way, but clean. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were just right. Odd that a half-empty after-lunch-rush place took so long to be served a simple breakfast plate of eggs and bacon and a BLT and sausage gravy & biscuit. Everything was good, especially the sausage gravy & biscuit. One of the best we've found in quite awhile. Would we go back? Yes, and leave plenty of extra time for the slow delivery of your order. It was freshly prepared. And tasty. But it took a lot longer than we're used to. Good eats, but be ready to wait a long time to get your food.
