I was a little skeptical because it's a tiny place, but surprisingly when you walk inside, it's very clean. Service was very good and attentive and answered any questions I may have had because I'm very picky when it comes to barbecue. I chose the jerk chicken just to try it out for starters. The jerk seasoning was not as pronounced as I would like, but I can tell it was still freshly cooked and it was tender. The rice was a little bit mushy, but it was good enough. The macaroni and cheese was very good tasted like it was made with real cheese And topped with more cheese. My husband had the ribs, and he said that they were tender and tasted even better the next day. The lunch special is extremely affordable and if I was in the area and wanted a hot meal, I would definitely come back here to do just that. read more

What a wonderful find! A little place I Ocoee serving up home style food and neighborly service. While I was there on Sunday afternoon, a little girl wandered in and looked longingly at the sodas in the case. The owner gave her a Cone and told her to just drop some change in the tip jar. Then, since it was near closing time, she offers her a couple slices of cake for her and her brother. It was, as I mentioned, near closing time, so many of the items on the menu were gone. I got some ribs, greens and a "hunk" of that delicious chocolate cake (made by the owners son). Delicious!! All of it! They serve lunch during the week. I will be back for sure! read more

The food was delicious but their was some improper food handling. I called over to order the website said it closed at 7 I ordered near 6. I walked a block from the Tollhouse bar. Wow! I've been to every BBQ place in Orlando (most of them more times than I care to admit!) and this one blows them away. What amazing ribs! Obviously slowly smoked to perfection over hours, with a slight crust, but incredibly succulent center, with oodles of meat. The half-rack portion is very generous and well-priced. The BBQ sauce, served on the side, is a perfect balance of sweet, tangy and spicy. Pulled pork is also tender and tasty. The baked beans have a rich sauce and tender chunks of meat, and just a hint of spice. Usually I add BBQ sauces to baked beans, but these didn't need it. It's counter service, and friendly service at that. There's just one table inside, and one on the lawn out front, but there's also parking in the rear. I love supporting hole in wall restaurants. Came for lunch here and ordered ribs, mac n cheese. I didn't feel too welcomed in this restaurant. For a small business that wasn't busy I would think the person working(guessing owner) would be more welcoming especially when I state to give me a second to see the menu since I never been here before. Once i noticed the woman was plating my food(to go) I asked where the bathroom was so I can wash my hands to enjoy these ribs in the workvan. When I exit the bathroom, my food was left in a bag on top of a small side high table. No thank you, thanks for coming, see you soon etc. As I opened the container I noticed the ribs were burnt. Girl?!!! Nessas has some really righteous ribs! Fall of the bones doesn't cover it. Let's say I'm surprised my serving even held onto the bone well enough to get from the grill to my to-go container. The ribs have some crusty blackened season rub outer skin that is sheer delight to slooooow the hell down and enjoy the mastication's needed to extract all that Nessa BBQ goodness out of it. That 1/2 rack (in my picture) should satisfy most "Fl. pie holes" and if it oddly does not, toss in some of her delicious collards! Oh my, an ever so slight touch of heat and wonderfully faint smoky flavor notes also. Texture was a spot on "chew" for collards! Not overdone like most sides you will find. (I'm really looking forward to an early LUNCH tomorrow! ) The fried okra was still hot and mostly still crunchy after the 9 minute ride back to the casa. Also delicious. Man, this is down home BBQ! We have been wanting to try this establishment ever since we found the Pelican Snowball stand. Today we finally were able to do so. This is some incredible BBQ. We had the BBQ ribs and pulled pork paired with collard greens and baked beans. The pork was tender and full of flavor. The ribs had a great smoked flavor. The sides were as good as the main dish. There are many reasons I'd like to live in Ocoee, and Nessa's has added to my list. read more

First time dining here as was in the area to see a show at Dragonfly Studio 129. The food was really great and we had ribs, chicken and pulled pork. The ribs fall off the bone and are smoked with a dry rub that doesn't overpower the taste. The garlic roll was amazing with pieces of garlic. I came in during closing time today.. no brisket so the wife and I decided on the jerk chicken... I had Mac and cheese and rice and beans... I'm still licking my fingers. I've been here 2 years and this is the best bbq jerk I've had. I live about 45 minutes away... awesome food is worth traveling for... I WILL BE BACK Sorry for the delay... But my greedy behind had to go back.... ms nessa said she would open on Sunday so I called up left a message then a text. She answered back I placed my order and was on my way. We brought our meals home due to the virus and with the first bite of the BBQ chicken, I was 10-finger eating! My boyfriend and I went to try this little place for BBQ on a Saturday afternoon ! I got the Jerk Chicken and collards and Mac and cheese. It was so delicious!! Price we perfect and the owner Nessa is a doll ! Her husband greeted us also and we had a lovely conversation! It was getting a little misty out and they even cleared the table in the back room so that we could enjoy our food without getting wet.
