My husband and I live right across the street from this First Watch, so it's incredibly convenient for us, and after our recent visit, it's safe to say we'll be regulars! I ordered the Trifecta, and everything was delicious. The waffle was especially impressive--perfectly crispy on the outside while staying soft and fluffy on the inside. I also added a grilled blueberry muffin on the side, and that completely put the meal over the top. If you've never had one grilled, do yourself a favor and order it! The restaurant was spotless, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was friendly from start to finish. It's always nice to find a breakfast spot that consistently delivers on both food and service. Of all the years we have been coming to this location, the food was mediocre. Food came out cool not hot and fresh. My husband's pork sausage was not cooked throughly. My son's French toast was very dry he kept trying to cover it with syrup but it didn't help. Lastly, the table that we were located near the door was the absolute worst place to sit. That table should be removed. With all the booties, hair and dust flying from other patrons. When I told the young lady at check she replied they normally don't sit people there and I could have declined it. No understanding in her reply, very cold. Server was incredibly friendly answered all questions and really was just a joy. I got one of the holiday specials, the Carne Asada tacos and while it comes with black beans, I opted to switch that out for the million dollar potatoes. Needed a break from moving and fast food and this is where we ended up. We were there on a Tuesday around 1:30 and it was quite busy. We walked in and were going to be seated right away but then someone jumped us in line. She had a baby so we didn't say anything but it was quite aloud and aggressive and the interaction kind of rubbed both of us the rong way. The staff looked like they wanted us to settle it and when we just stood there a little shocked they moved to seat them. Then once they returned from seating them, didn't say say anything to us when they returned, just kept their eyes down and didn't really look at us while we were seated. It was a weird energy right off the bat. We were also seated at a side table that had a beam sort of blocking half the table but I am deaf in one ear so it was the only not configuration that worked so that my husband was sitting on the side of my good ear. Food was all good and correct. They allowed me to customize a croissant sandwich which I appreciated. Ordered a side of tomato soup. It was thinner and more garden-y than a lot of tomato soups. Quite good just different. I didn't order one but I saw a pancake and they are reminiscent of Virginia pancakes. Large and hearty. I would order that if we return. First time in at this location. It was extremely busy when we came in. Wasn't thinking until later that duh, it's Father's Day weekend! The wait was about 25 minutes which wasnt too bad. Not enough waiting area room, seats or otherwise when they are really busy. I never noticed the artwork on the walls at other locations that highlight the city but clearly saw the Winter Garden mural today. I'll have to pay closer attention next time I'm at another First Watch. Our waitress was Elizabeth. She was super friendly, prompt and efficient. My son ordered the traditional breakfast and subbed out the ciabatta bread for an English muffin. He said the potatoes were so good that he didn't put his customary ketchup on them which surprised me. His eggs were ordered over hard and they were, although the yolk was broken. He liked them that way though. I ordered the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata. It was really tasty with the creamy chive sauce on top. I ordered a little extra on the side as I love my sauces. I kept the standard side of organic mixed greens which were fresh and flavorful with the lemon vinaigrette. Fair warning, it is a bit fishy because it is salmon so if you don't like a fishy taste, I would avoid it. I loved it though. I subbed out the ciabatta bread for gluten free toast. It didn't have any butter but our waitress, Elizabeth, promptly brought it out when I asked for it. I wanted a cup of coffee and didn't know until the end that it is $9.99 for coffee whether you have 1 cup or more. I visited this location this past Saturday and had a great experience. I arrived around 11 and they had said it was about a 30 minute wait. They took your phone number and would text you updates on when you were next in line and when your table was ready. Tried 2 specialty items this time. Started with purple haze. It's basically lemonade with a hint of lavender. Quite good. Can't remember the name of my entree but I did enjoy. It had chicken, cauliflower, feta along with some other veggies but my favorite was the sun dried tomatoes. It was light and not enough to fill me up so maybe order a bagel or hash browns with it. Fresh fruit was all good. Perfectly ripe. My one complaint about this place is the parking. A really wonky parking lot makes this place difficult to navigate. It is sometimes difficult to get a space near where you want to go. Had to walk a bit to reach the restaurant. Not a problem today as we had shopping to do, however, if my elderly parents been with us would have to drop them off and then search for a spot. read more

This week I had work meeting over breakfast at First Watch. I've eaten here before, although not the WG location. Our server was very kind... however the clean glasses for our bottles of water were not so clean. :-( ...so I decided to not drink any as I needed to focus on the happenings of the meeting/discussions taking place. I ended up getting the turkey sausage biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, and mixed greens. Not spectacular , but not bad. Just ok. 6.5/10. I would come here again, and plan to. The Bacon, Avocado and Monterey Jack Cheese was wrapped up in a fresh egg, topped with sour cream and the Pico seemed to bring it to another level. Daughter has the half waffle and sausage and she liked the waffle so much, she said it didn't even need syrup. It was a great visit, great crew and great experience all around. read more
