Stopped by Texas Roadhouse on a Saturday around 1 PM and was pleasantly surprised by how easy the experience was. There was no wait for a booth, and the restaurant had a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with TVs throughout the dining room. The complimentary bread was warm, fluffy, and fresh. The cinnamon butter was tasty, though definitely on the sweeter side. The peanuts were exactly what you'd expect from Texas Roadhouse. For drinks, we tried the blue lemonade and strawberry lemonade. The blue lemonade tasted pretty similar to regular lemonade, but the free refills were a nice bonus. The strawberry lemonade was the standout and definitely worth ordering. We also tried the Dragonfruit Sparkler, which was fruity, refreshing, and one of the better specialty drinks on the menu. For entrees, the Herb Crusted Chicken Dinner was the clear winner. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and the corn on the side was surprisingly delicious. The Country Fried Chicken Dinner was just okay. It wasn't bad, but I've had better versions elsewhere, and even with the gravy it felt a little lacking in flavor. The fries were pretty standard. Another plus was the large parking lot and the reasonable prices. The portions were generous, and overall the meal felt like a good value for the money. Texas Roadhouse? More like Texas Wackhouse. My husband got a gift card for his bday and he doesn't care for TRH aka TWH. He decided to give me the gift card this evening to enjoy a nice meal as our kiddos were at their grandparents and he was working. I ordered a $30+ meal the 6oz sirloin + shrimp and two sides. I got it to go so I could enjoy it at home. While I was waiting (I had arrived very close to the pickup time), I noticed an employee standing next to the driver's side of a car talking to the driver, who appeared to be an acquaintance. I could clearly overhear the conversation, and the employee was saying things that I found completely inappropriate to be discussing while standing right in front of the restaurant, even if it was technically in the parking lot. Two minutes before my pickup time, I went to the to-go window and received my food. When I got home, I realized my rolls didn't include the house butter. Whatever! It's not the end of the world. But worth noting as you would think this would be standard to provide. What became really problematic was the meal itself. I ordered my steak well done, but it arrived bleeding and wasn't even close to medium well. Why ask how I want my steak cooked if you aren't going to cook it that way? The shrimp was cold and incredibly salty. The potato? How do you get a potato wrong? Well, somehow they managed...it was stale and overly salty too. The broccoli I don't even think was steamed for more than a minute before you gave it "seasoning". The entire meal was awful and for $30?! Hahahaha I guess really the joke was on me for paying such an absurd amount but I really was expecting some quality somewhere. It just wasn't there all at. We still have money left on our gift card, but we'll be giving it away because we won't be coming back. If you're placing a to-go make sure you check your order at the window. This is the second time items have been forgotten. The first they forgot my lemonade tea and the second time the bread rolls. Something to consider maybe less hands in the bag and perhaps giving specific tasks to the servers. Just some food for thought, no pun intended. Since I just had to defend that I didn't receive my bread rolls to the manager, because she insisted she saw it go in. Seated quickly Greg was a very good server I ordered a full rack of ribs and they came so fast however I asked for them not to be burnt and half of the rack was still soft fall off the bone tender. The other half was dry overcooked and Greg was able to replace half a rack fast. Waited years to celebrate my husband's birthday meal here because he's always talked about his love for TR but there isn't one near us in LA County. Had such a a great experience here and the food (for a bbq franchise) was pretty great! Their house bread is perfection, the chicken I got was moist and well seasoned, and all the sides were great. Not to mention they have meal specials even on weekends during the lunch time. This is officially my new favorite bbq restaurant. FOOD Their biscuits with butter are my favorite kind, sweet and the texture was on point for the meal. I would eat my grilled shrimp appetizer with biscuits bite for bite and it was the perfect combination . I also got the Tater Skins and they were EXACTLY what I wanted them to be. The toppings were perfectly proportioned for each piece, and it was definitely a shareable amount (although I ate most of them for myself). SERVICE It was good service. We made a reservation the night of online, and I'm so glad we did because when we came in there was a CRAZY LONG line, but we checked in and were sat fast. I like the way they sing happy birthday lol I do recommend to add yourself to the waitlist via their website because this location is popping, all the time. I like to bring my in laws here. The dinner rolls are always flowing and they're dangerous because they can cause me not to finish my food. The servers are so nice and constantly check on you to make sure everything's going well. I have sat at the bar and in the booths and haven't had bad service. I will say, a few times, I asked for my meat medium and they've overcooked it but that was only like twice out of all the times we have gone so it wasn't a big deal and I figured it's probably because they're so busy. Most recently, We went on a Monday, were sat, got the dinner rolls and as our server was taking our order, the electricity went out. They opened all the blinds to let natural light in and we waited for the electricity to come back for like 10 minutes. Depending on how close you are to the restaurant, I would recommend going online and adding yourself to the waitlist. The warm rolls with that cinnamon butter just melts in your mouth. We got there 10 minutes after opening at 3 pm and the line was so long. Everyone was getting seated and then they came to us and put us on a wait list. I could see open seating and they still did so they told us to wait outside so we wouldn't be in the way. As soon as we got outside the text message came that our table was ready. Go figure. It was packed this Sunday but we got in within 10 min by putting our names online on the way there, but it did not impact the service! They demonstrated team work and kept the table moving and the food on time. Which being an ex general manager of resturants I appreciated. Yes it was loud but it was good. Started the night off with an hour and twenty minute wait after being told it was 30/45 minutes. The restaurant was clean for as many people that were there. First-timer alert! After a whole morning of shopping in Murrieta, I was starving and had to check this place off my list. The closest location to Los Angeles is Corona, so I had to make the stop before heading home. I started with their Cactus Blossom, and it was delicious! The portion was generous and easy to eat, and each strip was fried perfectly. I ordered ranch in addition to the cajan dipping sauce it came with. Both sauces worked well, and it was nice to alternate between the flavors. I ordered their 5 oz grilled Salmon with a Caesar salad and loaded mashed potatoes. The Salmon was cooked well and tasted yummy. The Caesar salad was refreshing, and the mashed potatoes were so creamy! I had an Arnold Palmer to wash it all down. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We are familiar with Texas Roadhouses and have been to plenty. This one was interesting because they didn't let anyone loiter in the lobby while waiting for a table. Not an issue for us. But l will say, it makes a big difference in walking in during busy times. It doesn't feel as suffocating, it's calm. If you have a kiddo or friend who overstimulates easily, this would really help with that. I only note that because the party called before us had a kiddo that was affected and l thought they made it as easy as they were capable of for people who would otherwise have issues. Worked really well so shout out to whoever thought up that idea, and way to think about making it a better experience for everyone involved. Our food was good, came out quickly. Server was good at keeping our drinks refilled and was honestly really talkative (in a good way!) and helpful. That is what stood out most to me from dining here. I've been coming here since my teen years . Ive ordered take out many many times . Recently, I feel the quality of both the food and service has gone out the window while prices rise , which I would not mind paying for if the quality of my meal matched the pricing . The last two times I've come to pick up take out they have messed up numerous items . I live 20 min away . For me to drive back would be non sense . The burger meat was over cooked and was missing THE BACON . $20 dollar burger for me to get home and see that it's missing bacon and the lettuce is wet soggy and nasty . They also put my loaded sweet potato sitting in the pile of lettuce water thus making my sweet potato taste like musky water. To top it off I like the bread rolls a lot but I noticed they charge like 6 bucks for extra bread when you purchase take out so I skipped on the extra bread to save money to TIP at least 8 bucks . When I got home I noticed there was NO BREAD ROLLS. The lady at the window went over the receipt and checked the bag before handing it to me . She obviously didn't do the best job . Quick to take the money but not to complete a TO GO order that is written down for you to read and make less mistakes. Like I said this was today. Last time they forgot one Whole entree which I called and they sent a CERTIFICATE COUPON WORTH $20 . Which expired because I didn't go right away . The blooming onion was very tasty and the sauce it comes with is delicious. It's big enough to share with at least 4 people! When we were finally seated, our server made sure to check in with us often enough that we were always good. We were also able to ask our server if we could take bread to go, and they did offer a frozen version. It held up pretty well, but nothing beats it fresh from the restaurant. Conveniently located off the 215 FWY on Haun and Newport Roads near Yellow Basket with plenty of parking. We've been coming to this specific location for years now and we love it. It is mostly very busy, so be prepared to wait if you visit during peak hours. The restaurant has a fun, Texas-themed decor with a full-sized bar and plenty of TVs throughout showing live sports. Food is delicious, especially their hand-cut steaks and made-from-scratch sides. They will start you off with freshly baked bread. Everything is always fresh! I like to start with their 'Fried Pickles'. As meal, I enjoy their 'Sirloin Steak smothered with grilled onions (perfectly tender steak). As sides, Loaded Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Vegetables' accompanied by a $5 'Margarita'. We just moved in the community and our Son with his family were visiting and live Texas Roadhouse . So we went for an early dinner. The staff was friendly and very efficient. The server came promptly and got our order. The good was delicious . We had the early bird specials, one of us had ribeye( btw best restaurant made ribeye ever) and kids meals. We were going to have dessert but the server just dropped off our check and fled.
