The space has a fresh, modern vibe while still feeling relaxed and welcoming--perfect for hanging out with friends or just kicking back after a long day. The beer selection was impressive, especially for a newer spot. There's a great variety of styles, and everything I tried was well-crafted and full of flavor. The staff were super knowledgeable and happy to give recommendations, which made the experience even better. On top of that, the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, and you can tell they've put a lot of thought into creating a place people will want to return to. I've been coming here since the Mason Jar days and this place is always welcoming with great beer even after changing owners. They get to know their customers and really make the place like Cheers. This is a great place for families, couples, and solos. I see one reviewer left a comment saying the beer tastes like piss here. I don't know what piss tastes like. Not at all what I was expecting. Menifee is so void of cool quirky places like a new brewery I rushed over thinking maybe this cul-de-sac might get something going with a few breweries. What I found was the last boring AF so called brewery got some suckers to buy it. The revamp is nothing special, there are no throngs of customers, no kitchen unless you count an overpriced food truck, and tiny "tasting room devoid of any kind of energy. The beers are way overpriced, and I get it things cost more and that's probably what they have to charge to keep the doors open but I'm not paying it for a beer brewed on premises poured from a tap on site. There is nothing entertaining going on here, even Applebee's around the corner is a better option.... Did I just say that?!?!?! read more

First time at this place and it was a great time! Ms. Christine behind the bar is amazing and knows when her patrons have had enough. I commend her for her persistence in offering water and making sure her patrons get home safe. The space inside is not very big but it accommodates maybe 30-40 people. There's a patio out front where the food truck is located and separate from the pub, patrons can place their sandwich orders. Patrons are friendly also, the night we were out and had good conversations with a couple of them. Seems like most patrons are regular as they are greeted by name and offered their usual. Clean, roomy and friendly environment - great quality seltzer (yes, they brew seltzer as well) and high quality brews. My favorite is the cold, crisp MK Ultra Pale Ale (I prefer pale ale over IPA). Came to this brewery based on Yelp reviews and for dinner. The food vendor served up some tasty food which was the only good part of coming here. They have about 20 beers on tap of which we tried 4 of them including the IPA, Red Ale, Strawberry Blonde and Stout. Of the four the Red Ale was the better of the lot but not memorable. Overall the beers tasted a little watery, lacking flavor and having low ABV. I have no idea how it has the Yelp rating it has, but I would not return as I did not find the beer worth repeating. read more

We had a small gathering meet here on a Saturday afternoon, it turned into 30 plus ppl, and The Mason Jar handled it perfectly. At the end of the night everyone loved this little brewery. CJ, the bartender/manager, was amazing and made everyone feel so welcome as we took over the outdoor seating area. The beers on tap were great, our whole party found something they liked, and the samples offered made it so easy to find the best beer match for you. Stopped into the brewery to enjoy some beers and there was no hazy beer canned up at the time of my visit. The owner explicitly said that he would can it up and have some ready for me the following day as I promised that I would return to purchase that beer for my father-in-law. Upon returning into town from Joshua tree, I sat in an inordinate amount of traffic to return to the brewery to make the purchase only to find that the owner had not canned up the beer that he promised to can. Staff did not know how to cam up the beer. Owner could've canned up for me the night before, but did not take the time to do so I will not be returning to this location. I have never been to a brewery, you can pet puppy for free!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were in Menifee for errands, accidently found this cute brewery. It is small but intimate, people are all having a great time there. Because we can pet puppy or even adopt one!!! Those puppies literally melting my heart, they are so chill and mellow. Beer is definitely tasty, and they are tastier when you can pet puppies. But please don't adopt puppies because you are drunk, it is a lifetime decision. I have been here twice and it should be more because it is so close to my house! They close pretty early, but when it's packed, the hours have gotten extended. Outside, there's usually a food vendor. The vendors vary. You can't take glasses outside, which I understand why, but I was a bit disappointed I couldn't have a beef flight outdoors. As usual, our "babies" (youngest son and his wife) have a knack for finding all the coolest places. They've been touting this place for a couple of months, we finally got a chance to visit during the holidays and made it a family event. I couldn't decide which beer to try so I ended up doing two flights of five tasters each. Its pretty cool, you just mark the selection you want and they set them up, labeled and all. I have to say, I enjoyed every single sample. They Call Me Mr. Roberto was a fave, especially the yummy rim. We will be back, there are more beers to try. read more

I've been to a lot of breweries throughout my years. As of today, Mason Jar Brewing Company is my top fave'! I love the rustic look inside.(we went on a monday around lunchtime) and the staff was very nice. I had the 5 taster set. My favorite ones from highest rating is below. 1. They call me Roberto-this beer has roasted jalepeños & lime zest lager 2. Haunted Harvest-Pumpkin Spiced Ale 3. Howling Cow- cold brewed Pumpkin coffee stout 4. Raz-ma-taz- this stout has Chocolate, Coconut and raspberries. 5. Spank yer hog-which is a maple bacon porter You can taste all the flavors in them and that's what it's about. A great local spot, any time of the day! My bf and I split a flight of five 2oz. beers -- we just asked the bartender to pick any 5, preferably 5 of the top sellers. My favorite one had to be the Mango Blonde. So smooth and really a summer treat. Great way to kick back and get a feel for different beers. Excellent prices and a very clean space! Mason Jar is a great local micro brewery here in an area with not a lot of craft beer options. Great to see a well laid out tasting room, not huge, but well sized for the place itself, and a great selection of beers. The staff was helpful and friendly of course, but the beer remained the star. The styles offered spanned the range from pale ales to dark porters and most everything in between, without being pretentious. Several of their beers are offered with a flavored rim. I am not a fan of this, but I like that it is offered. This gives the beer an added aspect and I find is appealing to the crowd that is newer to craft beer. On my visit I particularly enjoyed the gingerbread brown ale as well as their IPA. Both were very good and I would head there again on the merits of these two beers alone. Really liked this brewery. It has seating inside and outside. I like the atmosphere with the jukebox and decor. They also have board games if you are there with a group of people. They have something for everyone. My 2 favorites are the They Call Me Roberto and the Use Ta Could. I'm a big Hef fan and the Use Ta Could is like a lighter version of a traditional Hef but tasted great. They are dog friendly so that is a plus and thank you to the bartender that gave our dog a treat. Will definitely be coming back here again. read more
