The beers were decent, I'm more of a stout guy but got one of their blonds and it was ok, but they don't have a huge selection but you can see they stick to lighter beers. The food was actually pretty good, sometimes breweries don't have great food but the pretzel was actually pretty good with the dips. The fries/ ships were interesting they were soft and slightly crispy. Some friends got the nachos and they were decent too. The 2 standouts I had here were the oatmeal raisin cookie(though not a big fan of spiced ales) and the Peanut alert which is by far and away their best beer in my opinion. This is the one my friend told me about! It is a red ale with a distinctive peanut flavor that matches wonderfully with the malty, red style. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly an excellent maker of mead. He even has a variety of fun events you can sign up for like Viking nights where they have axe throwing and turkey legs, as well as Mead-Making classes with the man himself. We went with two of the flights: the new seasonal flavors and the classics. I was a big fan of the seasonal flavors, they were sweet and crisp, and the different fruit flavors really shone through. I liked the Thor's Courage the best of the classics flight, it was a sparkling mead that tasted the most like just classic honey mead. We asked for a recommendation based on our likes, and he offered us a glass of the Golden Butter Bee Mead, and it tasted as good as it sounded. It kinda was what I think Butterbeer should taste like. We ended up taking a bottle home. He also shared with us that he started his company in 2019, right before the pandemic, and he was able to survive by using his own truck to deliver mead all over the country. Of all the mead I have had (which is a surprisingly large amount), Batch Mead blew my mind. Our group was left navigating who ordered what and determine what beer was what and finding the correct owner. Dinner plates delivered no place settings at the table, no condiments (ketchup) and no drinks for more than half of the table. That lefts us going to the bar to retrieve our own cutlery.... Going to the bar to request our waters and our sodas... even after three attempts to ask for our drinks (water, lemonade, soda) the drinks weren't brought out. Many members of our party had their dinner with NO refreshments. We actually ended up serving ourselves our drinks from a dispenser located outside... we also ended up refilling our own drinks Our water was finally brought out at the end of dinner.. It was the worst service I have EVER had. What a shame.
