Reserved a table for Sunday brunch at 11:30 a.m. and we were seated right on time. I'm really glad we made a reservation because the restaurant filled up fast. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was great for a relaxing Sunday brunch with friends. I tried one of their specialty drinks (can't remember the name!), and it was really good. I'd rate my meal a 7/10, while my friends really enjoyed theirs. One of my friend's dishes came with an ingredient she had asked to leave off, but she was able to remove it herself without much issue. It's the very best looking dining room in town. That being said, it's a little worn around the edges and showing some age. Service was slow especially with a few special requests. Entrès took almost an hour. It didn't get much better after they arrived, special request went unexecuted but the odd thing was that the staple Thursday night menu item was terrible. I ordered the tri tip, it was cooked as requested but why. I was surprised that a temperature for the trip tip. It also came as a chunk of meat. Seasoning was off but the texture was like a ball of string. By far the toughest piece of meat served to me in the almost and so close to 62 years, but I just kept hacking away at it with a 45 cent steak knife. Tiny piece by piece it had to go. Now I know Skip The Tri Tip At Any Cost. Trust me. I'm still baffled as to how it even got out of the kitchen. First time at this BJ's location! At first glance, I thought this place was packed just because of where it's located. This shopping center seems like the main hub for Menifee residents Our server was great, Brandon really did an exceptional job! On this visit, we had deep dish pizza and a calamari appetizer, along with some tasty, refreshing drinks. Everything was closed since it was Sunday, gave BJs a try after its legal issues. It was really good and the ribeyes steak beats several other restaurants in the area. They always seem to have plenty of meal deals, such as Happy Hour or specific Daily Deals. On our visit it was very crowded and they had many people waiting inside and outside for a table to open up. We chose to add our name to the list and wait but luckily a table opened up at the bar area and we swooped it up. Much better than waiting the estimated 45+ minutes! Man BJs has gone so downhill (or it just might be this location). Mediocre is the best word I can use to describe our experience here. We made a reservation for 5 people for 6:00. We get there right at 6 PM and are told to wait for a table. We had to remind the hostess a couple times before they sat us down claiming at one point that we didn't make a reservation and the only way to make one is to call ahead. We had used Opentable. We were sat at a booth which was big enough to fit all of us though it was quite dirty. The server was sweet. Probably was in high school and I could tell he was trying but was definitely slow and had to ask him multiple times for stuff like water. We got an appetizer sampler to start which included 2 sliders, mozzarella sticks, boneless chicken wings, and chips and guac. For an appetizer, the food took forever to arrive and only came a few minutes before our entrees. The appetizers (especially the wings) were so salty and had no other flavor. Entrees were only slightly better. The mediterranean chicken tacos were on a really thick pita bread and had no flavor at all. I was at least looking forward to our pizookie but it was the thinnest piece of cookie and the sweetest cookie on top of that. BJ's New Orleans Jambalaya was absolutely delicious! It had so much bold flavor with the blackened chicken, sautéed shrimp, and chicken-andouille sausage all mixed together perfectly. The bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cajun-spiced broth gave it that rich New Orleans-style flavor with just the right amount of spice. They said the would bring us one as soon as it became available. Within 10 mins I saw two tables being seated after we had been sat and brought high chair. I walked around and found 3 stacked up. Food took forever as did refills. Food again arrived at different times. My niece food came 15 mins after we ordered. They offered her some fries as she waited kind gesture but she just wanted her chicken and pasta. I know you said in my last review to let a manger know on site. We just came from a wonderful experience, which redeemed the kind of mediocre service we seemed to get the last few times we've been here. If you get a chance to sit at Ethan's table, do it! He was attentive to our toddlers needs, brought out extras that we didn't even have to ask for, and was on top of making sure our food was there quickly and drinks were refilled often. Food was amazing as usual. We can't get enough of the $13 meal deal, such a good price for a meal and pizookie. We had a group of 10 at the Menifee BJ's on June 29, 2026. The food took over 1.5 hours to come out, with two people waiting even longer. Our server Rachel was fantastic and we tipped her well. Unfortunately, when we spoke to Manager Gabriel about the delays, he accused our group of "planning this" to get a free meal. He was defensive, refused to shake my hand, and gave a very poor apology even after the meals were comped. The service issues were fixable, but the way management handled it left a very bad impression. This location seems to have ongoing problems. I hope BJ's looks into improving management and kitchen operations at this store. read more

Anyway, I waited to place a to-go order, but it took at least 8 to 10 mins before someone arrived to take or hand out orders whilst the phone rang and rang. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Time and time again this place has the WORST service. I go because I love their avocado rolls and their Parmesan crusted chicken but when I do go, I'm Always so disappointed with their service. It takes so long to get acknowledgment once we are seated and the food always takes forever to come out. With our recent visit, this was the straw that broke the camels back. We were there for a kindergarten graduation and it took an hour and a half from when we ordered for our food to come out. My husband received the wrong drink, my mother in law never received her water and the server had to be reminded TWICE and it still took 20 min for a water to be given. Furthermore, both my mother in law and mother's food order were never taken. To top everything off, all 13 of use got our food 15 min apart!!!! We had a party of six and were seated within 15 minutes as it was the start of the busy time. Our waitress was Isabella and she was wonderful! I had the Smash Burger with fries and a cup of chili. To drink I had the Piranha IPA. The Smash Burger was a double patty and was so damn good! The chili is on point and I loved it. Music was playing in the background but it wasn't too loud that we couldn't have a good conversation. We all had the $13.00 meal with a pazooki at the end. I called ahead asking if it's okay if our dog is with us on the patio. They said yes. I told them I'm 25 minutes away. We get there and I check in and the person who took my call goes to get her supervisor who then comes back to ask if my dog is a service animal. I say no. She proceeds to tell me only service animals and shows me signs around the restaurant. I tell her - I wasn't here and was 25 minutes away that was why I called. I told her their needs to be training when people call - TO LET THEM KNOW ITS SERVICE ANIMALS ONLY. Do not recommend doing curbside at this restaurant. Had surgery and can barely Walk and saw they offered curbside. Ordered some dinner. Option was ASAP or pick a time this was at 5:35pm. Arrived approx. 5:45-5:50. Marked here out in my spot number . Then came up will ready at 6:10. So I waited and approx 6:14 no one came out. Tried calling no answer. Wobbled my way in to pick up desk where I was greeted by 3 employees standing there taking to each other. I asked if I could pick up my food.
