Been here a couple of times. Food, service and Beer are all decent. The back patio is very nice and we have never had any issues with getting a seat immediately. It's a great place to hang out and chill if you are ever in the area.
Was here for work and we all went here for lunch. Sad I was working, because I couldn't get any beer! I had the Angry Mule Burger. Double smash patties, pepper jack lettuce, tomato, guacamole, jalapeno jam, cornmeal dusted bun. Sweet potato fries. Service was really quick and friendly and we sat on the outside patio. So nice and dog friendly. Place was clean and so were the bathrooms. Want to come back soon with Wifey.
What a modern, well appointed, comfortable setting with indoor & outdoor seating. The outdoor deck is HUGE and welcomes dogs. The wait staff are friendly, relaxed and know the menu. We actually came here twice with our dachshund. They offer seasonal menu items and we love that a few healthy options are available as well. They even have level 2 charging stations out back below the deck for EV drivers.
We came here before going camping & for an early lunch and got here right when they opened, we had our dog that gets a bit antsy so they accommodated us on the patio and appreciated that. Our Dog did great! I saw they provided water bowls for them and they do have a doggie meal for them that's $7 and it's just chicken, veggies and rice or hamburger patty with no salt. My Dog eats anything cause he loves food but I was a bit thrown back on how it was served.. (it just looked like Mush & it was cold and more rice than anything) I only gave him the small pieces of chicken and the few carrots that were in there. The paper container was a bit hard for him to eat off but we made it work. I get it it's a doggy treat but it would have been a bit better if it was served on something more sturdy. Their service was Excellent. As we arrived they were quick and took our order for our drinks and flights of beer. We ordered and our food came out within 10 min and it was delicious, presentation was great, was warm and everything was well balanced and just delicious. I got their smash burger with fries and loved the fries and they had a satisfying crunch to them. We also tried their pretzel with Dipping sauce the Dijon mustard was a bit much but the cheese was fantastic. The atmosphere was great, they have indoor and outdoor seating and the inside is pretty rad as well. Their bathrooms were clean and tidy. Their merch was pretty sweet. They had quite a variety of things you can purchase along with their beer and other options they had in the fridge. Would we come back Absolutely! We loved our experience here, the staff were great and very attentive and the food was delicious to pair with great local beer.
Came to this spot for dinner while visiting Idyllwild. Super cute spot! The outdoor seating has a ton of tables and heaters. The indoor doesn't have too many tables but there's a bar you can sit at. They have a cute fireplace as well on a lower level outside. I got to try their crispy sprouts which was delicious, but not crispy. I liked the flavor and the tomato balanced well. I'm not too big on burgers, but I tried the angry mule burger and wow! I was not disappointed. That might've been the best burger I've had. There's a jalepeno jam on the burger that really brought the flavor together. They were generous with the guacamole as well. Their beers were refreshing and good. I got the IPA. I was here celebrating my birthday weekend and they gave complimentary vanilla ice cream. I wish I got our servers name because she was so sweet and attentive. She had the cutest cat glasses.
This place is great! Came with a group for lunch while camping nearby. The food was great and a beer in what feels like the forest was great! Our group had a burger, BLTA sandwich, steak sandwich, onion rings, and chicken pesto sandwich and everyone loved their food. Also a dog friendly patio which was great. We've been here for lunch our last few trips to Idylwild and will be back next time!
Fried Cauliflower: interesting take on it, they do the Buffalo sauce underneath the breading then it's served in a little metal basket with a side of aioli. 5/5 Mountaineer steak: really delicious, huge portion. The bone marrow butter really did taste like bone marrow! It comes with the side and you can get the chili as your side. 5/5 Green lentil soup: This was just OK. It tasted exactly like it looked, healthy. 3/5 Drinks were also great. I had the strawberry smash. It was excellent. It's served on ice and with real smashed strawberries inside. I also had the Elderflower drink which is served up. Both were great and we definitely order each of them again, and they were quite strong for only $15! Vibe is excellent, they have a lot counter seating, where you look out on the Forest (but also the parking lot below a bit). There's some TVs with spots going and they allowed dogs on the patio. The patio is nicely shaded and has a beautiful breeze, and also all different kinds of groups of people. They were groups of 20 Some things, groups of older folks, families with babies, one guy who's there, just with his dog. Service was so kind considering our group included a slightly fussy baby. We will definitely be back.
I love Idyllwild, but not necessarily for the restaurants. However,'on this visit we checked out the Brewpub. It's our new favorite in the area. There's nothing particularly flashy about the selections, but what they serve, they serve well. The fish, burgers and chicken were all very good. Well presented and reasonably priced for the area. The restaurant itself has nice views with a wraparound patio that gives most tables a taste of the scenery. Heaters keep the area comfortable and the waiting area features two fire pits. Easily the busiest restaurant we've dined at in the area but the staff are efficient and wait times are reasonable.
Our bartender Cal was awesome! I had the two gin drinks on the menu, Saunders creek and Strawberry Meadow I loved both for how fresh it was and very natural no synthetic sweetener My boyfriends drink which I loved was San Jacinto smash Very tart and flavor forward. The restaurant was clean and great service great music too if you like 80s vibes
One of the best spots we enjoyed in Idyllwild! We came here for an early dinner on our last night and were seated promptly with no reservation. The restaurant is fit with an outdoor patio and indoor seating. The outdoor patio is nice to dine at tree view! We got some beers, brussel sprouts, salad and a pretzel. Everything was pretty good, nothing outstanding but definitely good! The brussels could have used a bit more flavor, maybe salt or spice or some kind of tang. The salad was also a bit dry and needed extra dressing. Out of all the spots in the area, it's still worth a visit for the drinks/views!
Solid food and drinks. We came here with our family and ordered beer, burgers and fries, and a salmon meal. We sat outside to enjoy the nice view of the trees and birds flying. The beer flight comes with 4 tasters. They mentioned they only offer the flight on days that aren't too busy. The salmon meal came with two sides, so we got fries and chili. I liked the fries and chili better than the salmon.
4th of July, world cup games, and the only sports bar in this crazy busy little town. Recipe for disaster, right? Nope not this place. Haley and Brianna were awesome! Thank you for taking great care of us and keeping those great tunes playing all afternoon.
This was our first time taking are fur babies out to a restaurant and we couldn't be more proud of our girls they did amazing there were so many dogs we were a little nervous but they keep tables at a good distance so you're dogs aren't to close. So let's start with our amazing waitress jillion she was awesome !! super attentive!! Food was absolutely delicious everyone loved their food especially my dogs according to what they told me there burgers patties were phenomenal. Along with everything that we ordered was delicious! Hands down! I personally wanted to thank everyone for making there first time an amazing experience!!

Of all the times we've been to Idyllwild, this was the first time here. We've seen it pretty much always whenever leaving town as it's along the way back. Finally, it'd time to give it a try. There's a parking lot behind the pub but the main entrance is around the front area. There's a sign posted to where the parking is. You have a little steep driveway down to the parking lot. I don't think there's an entrance from the back so I wouldn't know how you would enter if you parked in the back. There's a fairly decent amount of parking and to our surprise, they even had a little nature trail along it. Anyways... The front entrance has a good amount of stairs up that will lead you to the pub. Quite an entrance I must say but once you reach the top, it's pretty much an open feel. Majority of the place is out in the open. Some seating inside but everything is pretty much outdoor. Nice little sections off the balcony and then you have the whole bar counter that just looks out to the parking lot and nature. I love that concept. Also, they offer food which is a good addition. Most breweries offer food but it's your basics items while this place has a lot of things to choose from. Of course theres beer on tap, wines as well as specialties cocktails. A good selections of items to choose from. We went with their cider which was perfect for the heatwave as it was nice and crisp. Goes down easily which isn't a good thing... lol... Food/snacks, we went with their jalapeños poppers which came with ranch dipping and a jam spread. That was a first time having it with jam and let me say, it worked. Poppers were really good stuffed with the cream cheese and a nice golden deep fried crunch. Highly recommend. And the pretzel. That came with the single or double. Go with double as it's worth the valve, a few dollars difference. That came with cheese sauce, and two different mustard dip. Pretty good starters as well as the cider. The food menu was quite good with what we had but looking at what others ordered, everything looked delicious. The place was great and the open concept looking out to nature was major. It's also very pet friendly as there were loads of fur babies out and about. On either side of the place, there's outdoor balconies that look out to nature as well but I think the main bar counter as you walk in takes the cakes. Finally trying this place out and I would say it's totally worth it. Service was amazing and all the staffs were excellent. Drinks and food were delicious. Idyllwild brew Pub super clean well appointed excellent ambience to go along with the delicious food we had the hamburgers and the smashed burger was just perfect. The fries are tasty. I like mine crispy. The thing that makes the whole event worthwhile mentioning is the service Josie, who's in the photo is knowledgeable funny or she thinks she's funny and she knows how to have a good time and still be at the top of the list for how she treats her customers if you want a good time ask for Josie read more

What a cute restaurant in such a charming town. We visited New Year's Eve Day - were told there was a 20-30 min wait but actually waited over an hour. Totally understandable given it was a rainy holiday where people were happy to take shelter indoors...but nonetheless hard to wait with 5 kids ranging 4 months - 8 years old. They were out of quite a few things people wanted to order but I think that's to be expected on a busy weekend during the holidays...especially being a mountain town. Extra points for vegan options - the lentil soup was delicious. Adults enjoyed the fried cauliflower appetizer while the kids had some fries, haha. The kids menu was great, everyone had chicken strips. Love that we were able to wait by the fire for our table and if no kids it would be a lovely place to hang out and enjoy a beverage while waiting. Parking was easy (you could park up top by the market and pharmacy) or down below. If we're back in town, we'll definitely be back. read more
First and foremost the place is stunning! after climbing a lot of stairs you notice you are now amongst the trees and what a nice view that was. Just in for a beer we were directed to the bar, 2 beers were 20 bucks, that I found a tad on the high side but they were both pretty good but only a little diluted in flavor. I like Belgians and the saison was a little thin, but served in a nice size glass so that trade was fair. I snuck a sip of my buddy's stout and thought the exact same thing. drinkable...YES but at $10 each we chose to move on The Place is immaculately clean including the restrooms, and the fixtures and furniture was in perfect condition, an I will give credit for that to the manager we meet up with on our way out. This is a must try in IDYLWILD. Be sure you check the spelling on your GPS to get to the real Idylwild. read more

If you take the magic stairway down below from the upper parking lot, you get Idyllwild Brewpub, tucked away from sight. Follow the signs from the town all the way to the entrance. We had a group of 9 (including 3 kids), was told it would be about a 30 min wait during a busy lunchtime weekend, and it only took about 15. While we waited we enjoyed some drinks on the balcony underneath the umbrellas. It was truly a beautiful overlook to the trees and mountain tops of Idyllwild. Old Fashioned was very tasty and smooth. Service was superb really from the staff... really attentive, patient, and nice. Food was decent American bar fair. Burgers, wings, etc. All of it was fresh and tasty. Wings were definitely the pleasent suprise as being super crispy and fresh. The fish was good, however I probably would prefer it NOT in sandwich form. Pricing is commensurate with the town. This isn't 1950 where everything is cheap... this is a modern day establishment in a quaint mountain town... it's a little bit on the high end. I love their brewery choices, and when you pair that with some decent food, you stumble upon a place that you have to visit when you're either camping close by, or taking a day cruise. read more

Whenever we're in town, we love coming to grab some food or a few drinks. They're dog friendly and have a fantastic outdoor patio. Great food. Great drinks, Beautiful surroundings. What else do you need? read more
Came here again on 3-3-2026 and things have slightly changed. Service was slow and bathroom was super dirty with trash on the floors, wet floors, and NO SOAP. Not sure what is going on but this is not good. Food is still great so I won't leave less stars even though I'm tempted to. read more

Came back for another round. We love the Campfire Burger and Fish and Chips (pictured)! Campfire burger reminded us of a McGriddles flavor! Fish were huge and perfectly cooked. read more
Been a few years since I've eaten here. Most likely will not eat there again $20 burger !!!! Nope not worth half that price Great service from a young lady Savanna good sense of humor too French fries here are crispy hardened outerskin even though they were hot and freshly cooked not my favorite type of fries If you want to drink beer you might enjoy that and maybe some of the appetizers will be good So tired of spending money on not so good food Menu is limited to hamburgers pork chicken and fish sandwiches I wanted BBQ spare ribs and they removed that from the menu read more
I love this place! Always come here when I visit Idyllwild. The location is beautiful and among the pines. Julie took care of me by celebrating my birthday with me by giving me some of their graham cracker ice cream. The IPA is great and the wedge salad was tasty with steak added. My husband got the butter burger. He liked it very much! We're coming back for sure. read more

As good as it gets up here. 5 star vibes, service, food and ambiance. Came here for lunch and we were seated in a spot with a fresh and beautiful view. We got the campfire burger, buffalo wings and pretzel. Everything tasted the way it was supposed to. The patties were fresh and everything about the burger was flavor combo magic. The wings had a crunch and tang to it. The pretzel was salty and buttery. Service was attentive, fast and friendly. The staff here visibly works as a team and I appreciate seeing that. I highly recommend this pub for anyone in the area! read more

Highly recommend it here! Loved the view! I believe I got the Willow Smith's (Raspberry Blonde) and a cider. Also, ordered the Buffalo Wings, which were great, and Brussels Caesar Salad (probably should have gotten a different one though). Overall, great place to stop by when in Idyllwild. read more

The Brewpub never disappoints! I've been coming here for years, and every visit is consistently excellent. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. The views of the trees are absolutely beautiful, and on quiet days you can even hear the gentle stream of Strawberry Creek flowing nearby. I love sitting on the outdoor deck, especially when it's raining or snowing--it makes the experience even more special. The food is always delicious. My favorite is the Campfire Burger, topped with barbecue sauce and crispy onion rings. Their fish and chips are also outstanding, and the appetizers are always a great choice. The drinks are consistently fantastic, too. If you're looking for a relaxing mountain dining experience with great food, drinks, and scenery, The Brew Pub is a place you'll want to visit again and again. read more

This place never disappoints! I love that we can bring our border collies who socialize with other dogs on the patio while feasting on a view of the tall pine trees. My husband loved his campfire burger and my salmon platter was delicious! Service was excellent. read more

It was a long wait but it was it's a really cool place. They have very few indoor tables available and it was chilly out but they turned on the heaters about half way through the meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they gave us a free birthday cheesecake for my friend. We all got mocktails and sandwiches and they were all really good. All the sandwiches were very messy (especially the pulled pork) but in a good way because that meant they were not skimping on the sauces! The lentil soup wasn't very good though. The lentils were undercooked. read more

What a home-y brewery. The entire staff here is super friendly and helpful. We had our dog with us and they seated us on the patio and brought her a water bowl. We came during the Strawberry festival, so it was fun to hear the band playing while we ate. We ordered a strawberry salmon salad and chicken wings, and both were great. I had a strawberry blonde beer and it was delicious. Good menu selection, great staff, nice place to stop and grab a brew and a bite! read more

No. There were plenty of kids and families there including dogs. If memory serves me correctly I heard the waitress say they can have up to 6 dogs on the patio. It's a great place!!! You will love it!!!

We do not have an elevator but the back entrance is also a handicap entrance and is level with our handicap parking. That same entrance is also level to the street so even if you park elsewhere, you can walk in through there and you do not have to…

Are dogs allowed inside when there is snow?
It is very warm on the outdoor patio, your dog will be fine! It is a wonderful place for our babies including dog water bowls.

Yes--on busier nights (when they need to keep track of people who may move around) they'll ask for a card to keep track of you in their computers. They won't run it without your permission and you can still opt to pay cash at the end of the night.
