Ham and cheese, corn and cheese, beef, chicken... they made so many different kinds, and it was always a delight. Now as an adult, having them at Nora's Empanadas brought back so many great memories! I'm rarely in Temecula, but yesterday we were in town for a baseball tournament. We'd seen Nora's Empanadas on Instagram, so I made a quick side trip to grab some. I ordered the ham and cheese, pepperoni, and beef empanadas--they were all delicious! But the absolute winner was the guava and cheese empanada. It was overwhelmingly sweet, but it hit the spot perfectly!" So if you are in Temecula, Ca. And are looking for lunch spot look no further than Nora's empanadas!

Indoor outdoor setup, multiple rooms, music going, just feels like you stepped into a little Peruvian escape. Service was good overall and the menu is a really cool fusion of Peruvian and Colombian cuisine. Also... they actually have vegan options on the menu which I get excited about every time. Okay ------ the food itself? Everything was GOOD. No complaints on flavor at all. But... this could've easily been a 5 star experience and there were some pretty big misses. Everyone in our group got their food... except me. About 20 minutes in, our server comes back and lets us know they're out of mushrooms for my vegan ceviche and asks what I want to do. I switch to tofu. Another 20 minutes goes by. At this point everyone is completely done eating, we're basically ready to ask for the check... and THEN my dish comes out. I will say, it was delicious and the presentation was beautiful but yeah, timing was a miss. On top of that, we had to ask about our drinks because they were forgotten for a while. So yeah.....amazing flavors, really fun spot, love the concept... but they've gotta tighten up the timing and communication. I'd still come back, just hoping for a smoother experience next time.

The space is small and intimate and I think it would be a nice place for a casual date! We were seated quickly and the server was really great throughout the whole meal and very knowledgeable about the food. I appreciated that he let us know about the specials without us needing to ask. We started off with some drinks. I got a red wine sangria and it was good but I did find it to taste a bit watered down but it wasn't a huge deal! We also got a carne empanada and the flavor was to die for. The beef and onion was so delicious and savory. It was juicy inside but the outside was crispy and dry not soggy at all. The portion size was fairly large as well. We also got the yuca frites. They were good. Crispy but still nice and starchy and filling. Not my favorite dish but only because of personal preference and not because they didn't do it well! Lastly we ended with the pork shank special they had for the night. It was absolutely amazing. The meat just fell off the bone and was so tender. I loved how the mushroom and spinach came with the pork. All of the different parts of the fish came together really well to made it exceptional. It was a hearty and comforting meal and I wish it were on their regular menu! I'm excited to come here again in the future to try more dishes.

The experience started on a high note when we met a friendly local couple who recommended ordering the sauce plate for our steaks. It was a game-changer. Our table shared the calamari and bread to start, followed by perfectly cooked Filets and a Ribeye, with sides of asparagus and risotto. Every cut was prepared to perfection, especially when paired with those sauces. We even got a glimpse of the "Surf and Turf" (a Tomahawk and two lobster tails) at the date nights table; we've already decided that's our order for next time! To top it off, our waiter surprised us with the butter cake for dessert, which featured a phenomenal crust and a perfectly balanced savory-sweet flavor. The entire staff--from the attentive servers to the chefs who waved and thanked us as we left--made us feel truly welcome. Even with a 45-minute drive from Corona, the exceptional food and service make Hanna's well worth the trip.
