We came at 4:50 and looked at the menu that was early birds. Waitress was extremely busy, tried to order off it at 5:02 and she said no too late. Then what we ordered burnt ribs, chicken tenders and cheese fries that were okay. Really think I should be a three but giving the benefit of the doubt. Went to Texas Roadhouse in Marana for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The place was packed--we barely found a parking spot--but luckily they were able to seat us within a minute or two. There were only two of us, so that probably helped, but still impressive considering how busy it was. The staff was friendly and full of energy, and the bathrooms were super clean (always a plus!). I ordered the Texas Roadkill with a loaded baked potato and a house salad. The salad was a great size and tasted so fresh, and the ranch dressing was amazing--definitely had that homemade flavor. The chopped steak was delicious, and I loved the sautéed onions and mushrooms piled on top. My baked potato was perfect too, maybe just a touch too much salt on the skin, but still fabulous overall. Portions are huge--I could only eat half, which meant I had a beautiful leftover dinner for the next day! I also noticed they have early bird specials, so I definitely want to come back earlier next time and check those out. And of course, I can't forget about those rolls and cinnamon butter... melt-in-your-mouth perfection. All in all, a great birthday dinner and one of the better experiences I've had at a Texas Roadhouse. Highly recommend this location! read more

NO INTERNET - unforgivable now days Soggy WAY overcooked veggies. Sugar in or on nearly everything including the damn butter? WTAF?. The music was SO SO LOUD I had to leave. I'm very disappointed with how my son was treated by this establishment. He was accused of being "too drunk" to be served another drink, which was simply not true. He was coherent, respectful, and not intoxicated. While I understand and respect the responsibility businesses have to serve alcohol responsibly, making false accusations without clear cause is unacceptable and embarrassing for the customer. There was no effort to communicate respectfully or explain the concern--just an outright refusal based on an incorrect assumption. This experience left a very negative impression, and I hope management will provide better training on how to assess situations accurately and treat patrons with fairness...beyond disappointing. read more

I have never had any less than a 5 star experience here. It's always busy because it's consistently good and a good value in today's world. And if something isn't right, they fix it right away. Our server Bailey was fantastic tonight. The food was delicious as usual. My sirloin was as tender as a filet. I didn't even think our food was taking that long but when Bailey brought it to our table she said the manager was giving us a discount because of the delay. A ++ for customer service! read more

The food and our server was amazing. It was another server (older guy with rat pony tail) that ruined the experience for us, and this isn't the first issue I have had with him either. When we first walked in he was cussing out and berating the 4 young girls at the host stand over a table that had gone to someone else. So unprofessional, and honestly disgusting behavior to have over something so minute. He rolled his eyes waved his arms at them and said "fuck you guys" under his breath as he walked away, you could clearly tell the girls were surprised and uncomfortable, but they were capable of remaining professional due to the volume of people at the front witnessing this. I'll be sure to request a different server if i ever get him because of his horrible attitude, lack of respect for his coworkers, and lack of respect for guests. The place was a " well oiled machine " filled with young people running the show , lucky to have them working hard . Table had small sirloin , prime rib , ribeye , & chicken fried steak . The Cesar salad was a hit along with baked potatoes sweet potatoes , corn , chili , sides . Prices like everywhere much higher than the years ago I visited wilmot branch . On veteran's day I went to the location to get the voucher for the free meal that all veterans earned for their service. Apparently Tx roadhouse only pays tribute to the veterans during certain times. Didn't know that they were only passing out the vouchers during a certain time. Thanks for your patronage. read more

I've been coming to this Texas roadhouse in Marana since they first opened about 24 years ago or so. Back then all the servers and staff in general used to lineup and do a song and dance about every 30 minutes or so for no particular reason and sing happy birthday to one or two of their guests. You would be able to get peanuts from this huge barrel in a tin can and throw the shells on the floor. Those days are now gone forever. No more songs, no more dance. Now you get peanuts in a bag and a tin can to dispose of your shells in (COVID-19 changed that) - Ah, the good old days how I miss them. We came here today for an early dinner and were seated at a booth with our warm rolls and cinnamon butter. Today I ordered an alcoholic drink which I hardly ever do. I ordered a mango margarita with Patron tequila for $3 more. For our entrees I ordered the country fried chicken with double mashed potatoes (brown gravy on potatoes and white gravy on steak) and hubby ordered the smothered chicken with loaded baked potato and green beans. No appetizer because they serve generous portions and I didn't want to ruin my appetite for my meal. The rolls are so delicious, you can taste the butter and salt on the roll with the tasty cinnamon butter on the inside (always a hit). My margarita was delicious but a bit too sweet for my liking. If you like sweet alcoholic drinks you will love their sweet flavored margaritas. My chicken covered with white grave actually tasted really good in the brown gravy that was on my potatoes (I kept dipping in brown gravy then next bite white gravy), so good. I did try hubby's smothered chicken (which has sautéed mushrooms) it was very good. His meal was so good, I just might order that next time. Our server was Harley and she was just fantastic. She always brought hubby a full glass of iced tea without him requesting one. She was just awesome. We've tried many dishes from this location over the years and I always find myself ordering their chicken fried chicken or baby back ribs. On another note I just wanted to mention, I noticed a lot of staff were high school students (mostly busboys or hostesses) which I think is absolutely fantastic. This made me happy because these kids are trying to better their lives and not be out on the streets or stuck home on their phones all day. I love that Texas Roadhouse hires high school students and this makes me want to come back more often. I'm giving them another star from my previous review. Good job Texas Roadhouse! read more

General food taste was good. My steak was undercooked, but already being cut up on a salad it was difficult to send back. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. The waitor showed up with "the saddle" and ice cream sundae before my husband was finished eating. No one else was asked if they wanted dessert. My husband ate his "ice cream soup". We felt extremely rushed to leave even though there wasn't people waiting to get in. The restaurant is very noisy in general. It had been about 15 years since we had been to Texas Roadhouse, and I doubt we will be rushing to return soon.​ read more

Flew into Tucson early evening and by time we got to hotel it was about 7:30. Many places in area closed at 8pm except Texas Roadhouse. The place was very busy by looking at the parking area for a Thursday night. We were quickly seated with 4 yummy biscuits and honey butter waiting for us. What a menu and what a set of drinks to choose from after a long one hour and fifteen-minute flight (lol). I ordered the Hurricane Margarita which tasted very tropicalish. Nice array of Legendary Margaritas to choose from and you can add a Kicker (shot) if you'd like more tequila. For food my wife ordered the pulled pork dinner, baked potato and house salad. I ordered the half rack of ribs (6), house salad and a loaded sweet potato. We both enjoyed our meals, and the loaded sweet potato was very good and I highly recommend. My wife's order was quite a good amount of pork. Kudos to Ming our server who was very helpful in ordering and spent time talking to us. This place is fun and not very expensive for the amount of food you get. I wish they had one in San Diego. It appears that all the people we had contact with really enjoy their jobs and do their best to make your visit here go extremely well and that you leave happy. Managment is doing a great job on the people they hire. One fun thing they have is when it's your birthday they bring this saddle out for you to sit on and get sung to. Food prices have climbed up again, but quality has gone down. I got the small piece of prime rib, which half of it was fat. Wife got the kebabs burnt and dry. Daughter got the roadkill with only the mushrooms also burnt and dry. Think the only good thing was the rolls and loaded sweet potato. We used to frequent here on occasion, but with the price of food, almost $17 for a small 6oz sirloin I can go to the store and get three sirloins in a package for that amount or filet mignon when it's on sale read more

Late to the game but I have never been to a Texas Roadhouse and I do hear people rave about it. Honestly, I hear people talk about their dinner rolls with cinnamon butter more than their actual steak. Agreed. Their dinner rolls w/ cinnamon butter was amazing especially when it's warm right when it comes to the table. These could definitely fill you up fast though so you might be full by the time your entree comes. Appetizers: Fried Pickled. These were deep fried salt. They were soo salty you can't help but to dunk the entire thing in sauce to somewhat balance it out. Entree: Ribeye with Shrimp combo with two sides. I chose loaded baked potatoes and chili beans. Medium rare ribeye was soft - good. Shrimp - good Loaded baked potato - good. Chili Beans - SALTY. I need 10 refills on water please especially after this and the fried pickles. Came a little earlier than normal dinner hours on a Saturday so we got seated right away but this restaurant gets really busy. Service was great though given that it was busy. First off the food needs to be cooked fresh, I'm in such pain right now the next morning in the bathroom . I got the chicken critter plate with Ribs and mashed potatoes and salad. You could taste that the ribs weren't fresh, almost like it was yesterday's Ribs just popped in the microwave. When we arrived we were seated by a lovely young lady who just smiled so much. Now the server who was supposed to be attending to us wasn't doing her job. I had to ask other servers to move our plates from the table we barely seen her and it seemed she only showed up after her co-workers already did the work for her. I have food poisoning and it freaking sucks, I'm normally a big fan of this place. But last night after getting sick, I'm over it. Please just save your money and make ribs and steak at home ! For this being in a chain I don't mind eating here. In fact we started liking it because of their early bird special featured on the back of the menu. I usually get the grilled chicken salad which is enormous I can only eat a quarter of it in the rest I take home. In the past I have eaten and devoured the pork chops. And let's not leave out the obvious they are hot bread with honey butter. If you're watching carbs do not even have them bring the rolls to your table because you will be tempted and it's so good!!!! read more

Service 5 star (EXCELLENT!) but Food 2 star. Came in with a big party on a Thursday to celebrate two UofA graduates this week. Our waitress was AMAZING and VERY ATTENTIVE to our needs. She constantly checked on us and made very sure our orders were correct and that we weren't lacking anything. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about our food. Our order that included Dallas Filet, two Prime Rib, Filet Medallions, Full Slab of Ribs, among others (ie. burger, ribeye steak and sirloin steak) were mostly over cooked! I had to send back my Prime Rib but unfortunately, the replacement was only slightly better. The Dallas Filet, Medallions and Slab of Ribs were not only overcooked but also dry. Very disappointed! Not sure what happened this time but we have always had good food here that are well prepared until now. For the high price we are paying these days, we definitely are expecting better quality food that are also prepared to perfection but we did not receive that on this day. read more

I'm probably not the first person to say their expectations weren't all that high coming in. Yes, I will admit we usually dine at "finer" dining restaurants than Texas Roadhouse, so it may not be completely fair for my expectations to be not all that high, but I have to say, this was an excellent dining experience. It started with the outstanding service. Sydney was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. She greeted us VERY quickly, took our drink order, and you could tell instantly she has it together. She remembers the details. She's very bright and personable, and it was a lot of fun having her as our server, as she helped guide us to a great experience. I bet she'd be great as a bartender because of her personality combined with her skill. I already knew there weren't many gluten-free options, but Sydney was patient and thorough in checking on possible modifications to items not listed as gluten-friendly. She was just plain great. We were able to enjoy the potato skins as an appetizer, leave the seasoning salt off my wife's steak (she's the GF one), and even though the only really safe potato option for GF is the baked potato, that's what my wife would've wanted anyway. So it all worked out just fine from that perspective. As far as the food quality is concerned, my expectation were definitely exceeded. I found my steak to be done to just about the exactly correct temperature/doneness, at medium well. And the flavor was great! I've been to fancier restaurants where I felt the steak was just not all that flavorful, but it really was very good here at Texas Roadhouse. We both went with the Dallas Ribeye, so I can't speak for the strip or filet medallions, but those looked very good as well from what I could see for other diners. The portion sizes are huge - and that's not a complaint by any means - and you get two sides with your entree. I really liked the steak fries. And the salad wasn't bad at all either. Yes I know everyone talks about the rolls, and yes they were fresh and soft and fluffy and the cinnamon butter was soft and spreadable, I just don't happen to be a fan of sweeter rolls, but I can see others enjoying them. Ambiance - well, I kind of expected peanuts on the floor and all that. It was just a little busy and a bit noisy but it was right in the middle of lunch on St. Patrick's day and all the more reason to give Sydney credit for keeping up with us - we're not exactly low maintenance diners. And we chose to eat in the middle bar high top, which means possible semi-sharing (one long table, so someone could potentially sit right next to you), and right in the middle of the action. But we were still able to have a conversation. And you don't come here for an intimate dining experience anyway. Plenty of TVs, plenty of beers, even some lighter options if you don't want steak. Yes, we came here only because we had a gift card, but I'd still return based on the great experience we just had. read more

That said, I'm not thrilled about eating inside there; it's noisy and hectic. If you have to eat indoors try the bar. But even though noisy and hectic, the service is excellent. If you going to have steak, get the bigger cuts, the small cuts aren't as good. But I only go for the ribs and take them out. read more
