First time at Dickey's and I had a great experience! Alejandro, the manager, was so welcoming and helpful with ordering. I got the pulled pork sandwich, pickle seasoned fries, and he recommended the mac and cheese, which was creamy and delicious! The food came out quickly, everything was really good, and I was impressed with how clean the dining room was. I'll definitely be back, next time with my kids! read more

My husband and I are in town for work from Texas. We wanted some brisket to go with our baked potatoes we were cooking for dinner. Went in and ordered a 1/2 pound of brisket and asked to have the fat trimmed off. Brisket was soooo good and moist and not a single ounce of fat on it. Customer service was awesome. We also met the new owner (he just took over the day before) very nice guy! He's from Texas too so if you're looking for some good Texas style bbq and some good ol southern hospitality stop in here, it's worth it. Wish him nothing but the best in his new business endeavors, he's off to a great start! read more

Ate at Dickey's today. Great, as usual. But now, there's something else to recommend Dickey's. #21 U of A football player, Ismail Mahdi, has purchased this restaurant. He had a day off from practice. Instead of kicking back and relaxing, he took the time today to come by the restaurant and greet customers and staff. He's energetic and determined to be a successful businessman, as well as a great player. I highly recommend the restaurant and suggest you follow Ismail on the field. Go Cats! read more

The brisket actually tastes great. It's just there is too much fat in it (~50%) for my tastes. As I don't like fat, I end up wasting about half my portion. While the sides are pre-packaged, they taste pretty good. read more

The crew had not even started my XL Pack when I arrived 2 minutes prior to pick up time. I was having family over for dinner and a movie and needed it for the time I ordered. Needless to say the order was ready late, not terribly, about 8 minutes but still frustrating. The sliced brisket was not sliced, i showed it to the guy prepping the meat and he said it was.... But I was already going to be late so didn't have time for them to re-do it. Also did not ask for the chicken to be chopped or pulled, but it was....AND it was dry. Definitely unhappy with the meats in this order. read more

Absolutely terrible. Ordered a full rack of ribs ($35) and they were tough and not thoroughly smoked. They used to be the best ribs around but no more. Bye Dickeys, we are done eating here. Full rack, small container of beans and potato salad, large drink and one tiny piece of cornbread = $60.00. read more

I had their chicken breast and it was tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce was really good. The sides were not anything to get excited over, I had the green beans and potato salad. Maybe something else would have been better. The service was okay, nothing to write home about. I wouldn't mind having more chicken, I even ate it cold the next day cause it was so good. read more

I stopped in this location a few weeks ago around 5 pm on a Wednesday and there were no customers but they were out of pulled pork so I left. I came back tonight with another pulled pork craving and luckily they had it. I got a pound to go and some coleslaw. The food was surprisingly good. I only give 3 stars because there was 1 guy working and it took 20 minutes from the time I arrived to the time I left. There was one couple in front of me in line. Apparently there were several pick up orders he had to do before helping me. There was way too much going on for one employee. I thought this would be a quick stop since all of the food is prepared. I was getting frustrated standing at the counter waiting to be helped, I almost walked out with nothing. read more

Outstanding food and service, they catered our family of ten and everyone loved the food

Went in to pla e quick takeout. One guy came to the counter and instead of greeting me, went over to pull a togo order of the printer. Came back and another order came in and he went back to grab it, then started looking over both orders. He saw me as I am tall and right in front of him. Order online if you want them to help you. Obviously they don't need or want people to just walk in. read more

Fast, friendly service, clean & well stocked restaurant with delicious BBQ. Best event catering in town.

Went here tonight for dinner at 6:30pm. Place was nearly empty. We were the only customers at the time. There was two employees. We ordered beef brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, fried okra, and chips. They asked for a tip when I ordered the food, so I tipped the workers. Went to sit down, all tables were dirty. I had to clean and wipe down my own table with napkins and water from the soda fountain. Food was terrible, and we threw most of it away. Both the brisket and and pulled pork was a lot of skin and fat, fried okra was overly salted and not the crispy, Mac and cheese was not that impressive. Honestly, we would have been better off just eating food from a gas station. read more

THIS IS NOT A FOOD REVIEW. Strictly customer service. My brother placed an order online for pickup, for around $55.00 worth for the family, and when he realized he was charged for two kids meals when he should have only been charged for one, he called the location. An employee told us it was no problem, that we could just get refunded at the location for the kids meal, GREAT! No issue. On Sunday's, kids eat free, and the allotted amount is for ONE kids meal, per the website. When we arrived at the location, the shift manager (I'm assuming) said there was no way to process the refund and also claimed the coupon was only good for dine in. NOT TRUE. The website DOES state that the coupon is only good for one meal, but does NOT state it's for dine in only. I attached the photo. After arguing that point, the shift manager then again shifted to the fact he couldn't be refunded in store because it was already processed. We asked for a gift card (AFTER SHOWING HIM THE WEBSITE) with the amount for the kids meal, so we could still spend it at this location and he wouldn't. At this point we asked him to call the manager, and guess what! Manager approved a cash refund. As we were gathering our drinks, I asked the same shift manager if I could have a drink carrier, and he said they didn't have any. Literally minutes later my brother asked a young lady cashier if we could have a drink carrier, and she gave us one. They literally had a stack below the counter. I run social media and marketing for 13 restaurants, and today I'm on the other end of a review that I'd rather not make, all of which could have been avoided if there was a little bit of patience. Considering my brother is a constant supporter of this location and they made such a fuss over a mistake that is THEIR fault, is extremely disappointing. read more

Help yourself to some ice cream (and it's free with your purchase)! Cones are free also. It's very country, very chill environment. Country music in the background while ESPN streams on the TVs. They have nice pictures and partial "wooden" looking walls. Hanging wagon wheels make for really cool light fixtures. Marble wood storage makes the whole area look very classy too. There are a couple fans to assist the A/C. Climate was comfortable- neither hot nor cold. There are medal chairs and cushioned ones in the back. The bathroom was boring and could have been cleaner but was acceptable. The food was very delightful and perfectly prepared for my liking. Lots of flavor in the meat, not undercooked or overcooked. The bbq sauces (sweet, spicy and regular) were really good as well. The buns were very soft yet thick, just the way I like them. The soft drinks tasted good too. The cups they give you are reusable and for you to keep. They are yellow and advertise Dickey's bbq pit well. There are fresh onions and lemonade available. They cater, just call 866-BARBECUE or talk to the local manager. I enjoyed my experience, would come again and definitely recommend. Enjoy if you please. Free ice cream is too "cool". Ha! Ps the beef brisket is my favorite, my husbands favorite is the pulled pork and my kids love the large cut smoked turkey breast. We all enjoyed the potato salad and I typically don't even like that lol and for anyone wondering, it's Coke products. read more

Price exceeds the value and food quality. No beer or wine!? Pulled pork sandwich (very fatty) and 2 (not homemade) sides over $12.00. One brisket sandwich (chopped meat) $8.00. Asked mgr why brisket wasn't sliced. Said she "would find out"?? Free sauces and Vil. Ice cream. Don't waste your time responding to socialmedia@dickeys.com. It is what it is. The worst barbecued ribs I have every had. They were overdone I ended throwing away about a third of them. My wife had the brisket and it was so fatty she left over half of it. The Cole slaw had so much mayonnaise that it did t even taste like coleslaw. The beans were totally flavorless. And the free ice cream was so soft, it dripped off of the cone. The two guys working there actually had dirty hands and I would bet that they would not pass a health inspection. Someone should look into this. WE WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. read more

Used to be VERY good when they opened. Then they went to "by the pound" and we stopped going. Went back today and it was NOT good. Brisket was very fatty, jalapeño kielbasa had no flavor and was fatty, Mac and cheese was not as good as Kraft, green beans were tasteless and soggy, chicken breast was cooked well but had no flavor and the corn bread muffin was dry and not flavorful. Sorry to say, but Yelp ratings are usually spot on, and 2.5 stars is accurate. read more

I saw a review on Tucson location news station. Looked pretty good on the news as they showed portions so I thought I would try it. So.... 1st time going and my last. I got a double order of beef brisket. Are you kidding me. (See picture) What I received was what I would say was a single order. The brisket was extremely dry. With at least 1/4 that was uneatable due to fat and unable to chew I am guessing gristle or something. The sides were also extremely small. So had to order another coleslaw. The only thing that was actually good was the Mac and Cheese. read more

Absolutely worst service ever! I tried ordering 4 complete meals on the app and the price was $62 with a coupon. Tried to complete the order and it wouldn't go through. I was craving some good BBQ and Dickey's did not disappoint! The ribs literally fell off the bone as I was eating it. Waffle fries were perfect as well. My son got the pulled pork sandwich and really liked it, and he got a healthy portion! I didn't think the side salad was going to amount to much (it comes in a small cup and your only choice of dressing is Caesar), but it really worked. Just the right amount. You can also get a free ice cream cone afterwards. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars; 1) They were out of onion rings 2) The ketchup only came in packets and not "pour your own cup", like the 3 different BBQ sauces Still, we were extremely happy and would visit again. read more

Posted hours are not correct, food is never that good, and definitely overpriced for what you (don't) get. After an hour of going back and forth on where to go for dinner my wife finally decided to give these folks another shot. We browsed the menu online, verified the hours, and off we went. COVID19 Risk Warning. 28 June 2020. When you are doing your personal risk assessment as to "will I likely catch COVID19 from eating at this place?", you might want to cross this Dickey's off your Dine-In list. We have went here twice since Dine-In was reopened in the state. The 1st time the employees we're wearing no masks and the condiment table and ice cream machine were a self service free for all. We ate there but did not feel comfortable. We tried to go there again today after the new, tighter mask wearing requirements went into effect. This place? Nope. Only 1 out of 4 employees was wearing a mask. The folks preparing your food were not wearing masks. Food service being what it is, there is no way that the employees can maintain 6' between each other as they go about their shift duties. We wrote a complaint to the owner and got back the most patronizing reply. He was not requiring his employees to use masks. I am not saying that anything here that is against code, but these folks are WAY behind Industry Best Practices for food service around town. And they do not give a sh1^t. This place is a way higher risk for customers than other, safer options around town. The owner does not give a rats rear about the health of his employees or his customers. Bad. read more

Food and service always great at this location. Very clean and pleasant crew. Always stop at this restaurant when I am in the area.

Customer service and free vanilla soft serve cone is grand but if you don't go when they open the meats are dry and not tasty. Bread falls apart and meat is too tough. BBQ sauces are good but not on top of dry meat. The layout is good. You walk-in, order, pay, sit and eat. Straws, drinks, ice cream, plastic ware and condiments are out for you. Bathrooms are clean and parking is free. read more

I love their bbq sauce and their pulled pork as well as their brisket. Their fried okra is always fresh.

I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs. What I got was dried up scraps with most of it too hard and burnt to eat. I also ordered sliced brisket. What I got was fatty slabs of unevenly thick cuts that I had to slice myself in order to use what I received. Large portions had to be thrown out due to all the fat. I have had Dickeys in many towns across the country as our "go-to spot" when traveling but to get what should have been thrown out last night here in my own hometown on Fathers Day was surprising and beyond disappointing!
