This is one of my favorite places to go eat. This time I tried something different. I ordered the Herb Crusted Chicken with a Garden Salad and Veggies. The Garden Salad was really good and refreshing. The lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and other veggies were cold, fresh and crisp. The Herb Crusted Chicken was delicious. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was so juicy and tender...very tasty. The grilled veggies were okay...the carrots could've been cooked longer. I'm surprised that there are any bad reviews here, just because the service is so exceptionally kind. We were seated at the bar and to say they were attentive is an understatement. The menu is extensive and has options for those interested in meat, seafood or really anything else. For old-timers, peanuts are still offered free at the beginning of the meal and are a fun way to start the feasting. We ordered the Rib Eye along with Grilled Shrimp. All dishes come with two sides and we ordered the Caesar and House salads along with the baked potato and French Fries. Sizes are generous and most people leave with tons of leftovers. Always happy coming to roadhouse. They take care of you here, and it's exactly what I want every time. The rolls, the steak, the crisp sodas. Don't get me wrong, it's not a Michelin star steak (but did confirm the ribeye is worth the upgrade vs the filet if you want tenderness), but the flavor is there & I can't complain. I usually get on the waitlist before using the website, but we do usually have to wait a bit longer after checking in (just for a server to get assigned to us in addition to others who've been called). Texas Roadhouse is my go-to when I'm craving a steak! This last visit was on a Friday night and it was super busy. We were lucky to snag a couple bar stools. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We ordered one ribeye and one sirloin meal both medium rare. Unfortunately, they both came out overcooked to medium well. When they asked, we showed them and they started making another steak. Sadly when that one showed up, it was just as well done as the first. Luckily, the steaks still tasted good and the sides were consistent. The loaded baked potatoes was a meal in itself. It was huge and filled with bacon, butter and cheese. The green beans were savory and delish. The side of veggies was a letdown. The carrots weren't even steamed.The marg on the rocks and Long Island iced tea were good. They made everything right when they offered to comp one of the steaks because they agreed both of them were cooked incorrectly, which goes a long way to have good customer service. We love Roadhouse, just about the entire state does, but this roadhouse in particular has always been a standout. Before you go it's worth mentioning that this one is ALWAYS busy. The parking lot may be a difficult place to navigate and you will definitely need to join the waitlist ahead of time. Once you're in, the hostess is very friendly and they move quickly to get you seated. We could write a love letter to their cinnamon butter and bread (always free), but we'll spare you from that. We've eaten here a few times so instead of going through everything we'll say their country fried steak, burgers, and fried catfish have always been standouts to us. The portions are always Texas sized as well. There are some times where things can be a bit inconsistent, just like any big chain restaurant, but it's never bad food like some other places. Bar none, coming here you will always leave here full and without your pockets getting too empty. read more

They were very tender, to the point of being soft. Not my preference but could have accepted this if they had been even warm. The rest of the meal and the service was good. Would have been 5 star. Server was quick and attentive. Everything was delivered as ordered. The salad was fresh and tasty. They brought extra dressing just in case. The roles we hot, plenty were provided for our party of 5 and they were refilled quickly. The chicken tenders I had were tasty and perfectly prepared as were the steak fries. I will be back. When my husband and I decided to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse last night, I checked their app and found that they had a 45 minute wait. I added our names to the waitlist and we decided to go ahead and head to the restaurant and sit at the bar while we waited. I checked in with the hostess when we arrived and was told we still had about a 40 minute wait. We found space at the bar to wait and enjoyed the people watching and music. We were given fresh, hot rolls while we waited. In only about 20 minutes, we were on deck for our table. I decided to order my "go-to" 8 oz Dallas filet along with a house salad and ranch dressing and a loaded baked potato. My husband ordered the prime rib with house salad, ranch dressing, and loaded mashed potatoes. The salads were cold, with fresh lettuce and topped with tomatoes, hard boiled egg, croutons, and shredded cheese. The ranch dressing was nice and thick, with a great homemade buttermilk ranch flavor. I ordered my steak medium, but when it arrived, it was pretty rare and our server graciously took it back to the kitchen to be cooked a little more. A manager came by our table a few minutes later to apologize and ensured me that the filet would be back out shortly and cooked to my request. My steak came back out shortly and was perfect. I love how their steaks are seasoned and a little charred on the outside as well as how they season the skins of their baked potatoes. My husband said his prime rib was full of flavor and very tender. I don't think you can find a better tasting filet for the price anywhere in town. Texas Roadhouse has become our go-to place for steak. And their Southpark Meadows location is always the best, with fabulous food and service and a fun environment. read more

I mean, there's not much to say except this place is ALWAYS Bopping - we've been wanting to try because of the famed honey buns so we decided to stop in after our Pilates class also in Southport meadows. We added our name to the waitlist and arrived at 6 and we were seated by 610. Definitely recommend - the parking lot was already full but thankfully there is plenty of parking close by. The hostess in particular was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no greeting, no attempt at friendliness, and her tone came across as dismissive when we asked simple questions. It set a negative tone for the visit, and unfortunately, we left. First impressions matter, and this was a poor one. I hope management takes steps to address this, as basic courtesy and professionalism should be the standard. We arrived at Texas Roadhouse on a Friday around 5pm after checking-in online. It was less than a 10 minute wait for a table for two. After being seated, service was amazing. The table and seats were both recently wiped clean and dining room was well kept by staff. Our order was taken right away for drinks and food and everything came out exactly as we ordered. It was clear that dinner rush was beginning but our service was not delayed because of it. Service was extremely polite and professional, thanks Zach! Steaks were cooked to medium and medium-well perfectly, and the drinks were tasty and well balanced. All of the staff, the other servers including the people cleaning up after each group were hard at work and all smiling! Thank everyone for their hard work and great vibe! What I appreciate most of all is the servers. They work tiresly their entire shift, making sure all the customers are seated in a timely fashion and are happy with their service and meals. All the while smiling. This was my second time to this establishment. Sorry to say, my sirloin was a bit dry. Other people in my party said the same. The grilled shrimp I had didn't taste quite like they were grilled. I had corn as a side, and it didn't taste like corn. I couldn't say what it tasted like, but not corn. I only took a few bites. I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to review this place because this establishment is on my rotation of restaurants we visit since I don't cook as often being that I'm what's considered an empty nester. I was a little irritated last night (9/15) because I received a message to gather my party because we were moving up on the wait list. While waiting I noticed people who checked in after I did were being seated. By the time we were walked to a table there was an issue with seating. We then had to follow the waitress back to the front where they had a discussion and we were then given seated in a different section. I usually get fried pickles which are great and a sirloin steak or salmon. I love caesar salad but the one at Tx Roadhouse is not good so I stick with the house salad. We all know what Texas Roadhouse is...a solid americana food place that does everything on it's menu well; and everyone is here for the rolls anyway. Because I find it a bit boring and predictable I don't come here often. In fact, I hadn't been back in YEARS. But a friend wanted to come here (she loves it apparently) so I decided to go along just to get out of the house. I got the mushroom chicken. Again, it was solid. Generous portions and tasty enough for me to be satisfied and not regret coming out of the house. But this isn't about the food. This review is about our server Amelia. She was SO amazing!! Just the cutest thing you'd want to meet. She was just spry and chipper and I admired that considering it was still so early in the morning. She was so also incredibly patient. I couldn't decide on which flavor of lemonade to choose and she offered to let me try the one I was waffling on. As an aside, it was the mango lemonade and yes...you SHOULD get it...nice, refreshing and not overly sweet without that fake mango flavor. Perfect summer lemonade. But back to Amelia. She was on top of things! It wasn't busy when we first got there but as we sat, it picked up and her service never waned. She steadily refilled our glasses and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. Then when we asked for to go boxes, she asked if we wanted fresh rolls to split...WHY YES!
