sealed cracks

First time using this company. Bret is knowledgeable, the service was timely and at a reasonable price. The installers were easy to work with and accommodating. They added more concrete at one end for the pool cover track, came out nice. After living with it for a few months we are happy with the finished product, seems high quality. Stains clean easily with a magic sponge. The surface is finished with a sealer and is a little more slippery than the concrete, but much more comfortable on the feet. Per Bret it requires resealing every 3 years. Even on hot days, the surface is much cooler than the old cool coat. Soon after the install we noticed some rain spots but they disappear after drying and they seem to be going away, doesn't seem to affect the surface. We will be doing some paint touch ups around the fiberglass (no fault of TPC) and adding an auto pool cover. Overall very happy with the look and function. This is the way to go for concrete overlay.

After ...amazing.

We had an old aggregate pebble pool deck. Looked terrible. I contacted Bret with Texas Premier Coat Resurfacing. He responded pretty quick and came out to give me an estimate. I was skeptical that our surface would ever look anything like the pictures he sent. It took a while to schedule as they're in heavy demand these days. We weren't in a hurry. I liked idea that the pool wouldn't need to be drained. The job took 2 days. The crew took a lot of pride in the work and it shows. Honestly, I'm shocked at how good looks. It's amazing. Totally updated look. Great texture. Outstanding value. I can't recommend these guys highly enough.

Bret has been super helpful all throughout the process. His crew was on time and did a superb job. I could not be happier with the results. I cannot wait for them to start on the next project (stone overlays).

I get a lot of people asking if I'm still happy with my pool deck resurfacing. Yes, I am! I would do it again! The picture below was taken today. Bret's team was here last month to do a reseal. The Texas sun is really hard on everything so maintenance every three years seems totally reasonable for an end-result that looks brand new. Reseal is a simple procedure, they moved everything, power washed, touched up faded areas, and sealed it. I was able to use the patio the next day. Every day when I go for my swim I am happy with how my patio looks and glad I chose Texas Premier Coat.

Did great job, our backyard pool deck looks like new. Wasn't sealed properly last years but they got it back to new. Reasonable pricing.

New patio!

End result is great! Easy to work with, provided good insight and walked with me every step of the way.

a pool in a backyard

Texas Premier Coat recently resurfaced the deck that surrounds our swimming pool and we have nothing but good things to say about the outcome and the company itself. The original deck was exposed aggregate concrete that had become worn and so rough in spots, one could hardly walk on it. Our newly resurfaced surround is not only beautiful but is a pleasure to walk on again. Proprietor, Bret and his team (led by Giovanny) were a pleasure to work with, especially in the face of some diversity, namely the very rainy spring and early summer. They were able to work around our summer schedule and Bret was super responsive to questions before, during and even after installation. Five stars out of five, all around!

The result!

From first contact to end of job it was a professional and reliable experience that we had with Bret Anderson with TX premier coat resurfacing. There's NO comparison to how our entry and backyard concrete looked before to how it looks now after the resurfacing job. I definitely recommend this business if you want to improve the look of your home.

We had our pergola installed by Austin Pergola Company and they did an outstanding job…read more They worked with us to make sure it is absolutely evetything we want before they put it up. It took me a while to decide on the color as I wanted it to be in very particular hues of grey and they found a perfect match. The quality of their work and customer service is on the highest level. Everyone is polite, professional, knowledgeable, and very nice to deal with. They take real pride in everything they do making sure all is perfect. I cannot find enough words to describe how happy we are. Thank you for your hard work and your talent. If we decide to build another one we are definitely coming back! And recommending you to everyone we know!

This review is warning to what can potentially happen if you take contractors at their word…read more I reached out Austin Pergola Company in order to see if a carport would be feasible in my neighborhood. There are many carports in my neighborhood that were similar to what I envisioned on the side of my lot. They told me to send them a survey of my home and we would discuss over the phone if it was possible. This should have been the first RED FLAG. In all my questions that involved permitting Lauren would always make sure the discussion was over the phone. On our phone call I was assured that they could install the carport with no issue. They said I could get a permit, but was not required based on the size of the carport. In reality the City of Austin requires ANY structure attached to your house to be permitted! The size is irrelevant! My other concern was that the carport would get too close to the neighboring property. Aaron said based off the survey and on-site visit they did, this would not be an issue. They said they would build a carport with no overhang and they could use my existing driveway in order to avoid going onto the neighboring property. What instead happened is the carport was built with an overhang that went onto my neighbor's property by 4-6 inches. When my neighbor went to sell their home this caused issues for them and they reported the overhang to the city. When I tried to get the carport permitted I was surprised to find that it was basically un-permittable. There are NO exceptions to the 5 foot side setback in Austin! This was contrary to what Austin Pergola told me over the phone. They had told me everything would be done up to code and I could get it permitted if I wanted. I assumed that Austin Pergola Company would know the rules around permitting pergolas/carports within the City of Austin. This company really shouldn't be advising people about permitting and surveys if they have no idea what they are talking about. In all likelihood they do know the rules, they are banking on the fact that most of the time any issues pop up after they have already been paid. In Texas, contractors are not required to have a general contracting license. This means if you are working with unlicensed contractors (such as Austin Pergola Company), they are held to no standard (unlike electricians/plumbers). You as the homeowner are essentially the general contractor at that point. So you have to keep them in line. You have to know all the rules about permitting. You will have to make sure they construct your project on your property. I assumed when you are spending over 10k on a project they take care of you, but that simply isn't the case. If the project you are considering is at all attached to your home or anywhere close to 5 feet from the border of your property I would highly recommend using a different company. Try to find a contractor that will obtain the necessary permits. If a company is unwilling to obtain permits for their own work, it should be a red flag that the work they are doing may be difficult/impossible to permit. At the very least make sure you get everything discussed in writing. Any discussion over the phone and not in the contract is basically irrelevant. Do not take their word about anything related to permitting or surveys. No matter what they tell you issues do come up. I was able to use the carport for only 3 months before I had to take it down and I am now out over $10,000 on this project. References: https://www.austintexas.gov/page/work-exempt-building-permits https://www.austintexas.gov/page/how-select-contractor * Additions or alterations to your home contrary to city code may affect title transfers or insurance requirements should you ever decide to sell your home. Therefore, be cautious of contractors who that state no permits or inspections are required. * All contractors are required to obtain permits for their work, thus be wary of a contractor who asks you to obtain a permit on their behalf. The party that obtains the permit is ultimately held responsible for work that does not meet city code.

We couldn't install a parking structure because of the narrowness of the lot. Making an appointment is easy. They came out to do an estimate, drew up the plans, and got us on the schedule for the following week. Communication was prompt and friendly. Installation took two days, one to dig the holes and insert the poles, and another to install the shade itself (both processes are very fast, but I think the concrete needs time to cure). Price was extremely reasonable and there are several colors and sizes to choose from. We are extremely happy with the product and service. Highly recommend!

When the shades finally arrived, the installation didn't match what was promised: fit and measurements were sloppy, alignment was off, and several components looked incorrectly installed from the beginning. After installation, the issues didn't get better. I reached out to have corrections made, but the response time was slow and the problem wasn't addressed properly. Overall, the quality doesn't match the price, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for professional workmanship and reliable follow-through. A real bad stud. High and low.
