There is potential but that would require significant changes in thinking, strategy and funds allocation.

That second place never stood a chance. Hummingbird House was our venue from the moment we got into the Bridal Suite and met Danny. I remember emailing him from the parking lot of that last venue asking him to send us the contract. We couldn't dare let anyone grab our date by wasting more time with other places. Even our puppy Vladimir loved it! We may be five months behind in our review, but my husband, Kai, and I had a better day than we could have ever imagined for our wedding. The weather was amazing, (I'm giving Courtney that credit) the venue was set up and arranged perfectly, and we never missed the important moments of our wedding thank to Courtney's ninja-like day of coordinating skills. She knew just when to be there to help us and when to let us sit back and soak it all in. Thank you to the amazing team. As a coordinator myself, I don't know how they do this with the small staff that they have. Goes to show that it's not about the number of staff members, rather, it's about the quality and heart of the people who work there. They do the work of 10 people on a daily basis and are in the business of ensuring perfection for their clients. The bridal suite was not only perfect for the bridal party to get ready but also to allow the blushing bride some alone time before the ceremony. The weather cooperated but the event staff were prepared with tents if the ceremony needed to be moved at the last minute. The bathrooms were even stocked with emergency essentials should they be needed. A few of the guests had mobility challenges and the rustic walkways and loose gravel did present a bit of a challenge for some, but otherwise zero complaints.

I definitely came in expecting to be sore the next few days, but I didn't expect how HARD it is to hang from a silk (like, I couldn't even lift myself off the ground). And to be fair, the professionals always make things easier than it seems -- people just dance so effortlessly in the air -- that I thought that maybe I could twirl in the air. But wow, aerial dancing requires so much practice, upper arm strength and balance to be so beautiful. The instructor there was extremely nice and helpful. Lisa made sure we were comfortable with the moves and was very encouraging to the both of us, which definitely made the experience more fun. At the end, we got to do some fun moves (i.e. flipping upside down, swinging, standing) and certainly, they weren't very pretty when I did them, but I definitely had a blast and will be back in a few weeks again!

According to Chelsea, Moontower manager, their SoCo Ginger Beer has taken off like a rocket. The ginger beer is being sold in Whole Food stores and other east coast groceries. In addition, they are focusing on special events, i.e., company, birthdays, etc. They had an art show event over the weekend. The hubs and I are not beer drinkers, but like to experiment from time to time. Cider is tolerable, so we are trying to expand our drinking palate. Since were at Moontower, we gave the bottled ginger beer a whirl. Generally, we are not fans of ginger beer primarily due to the beer taste. It was surprising really very good and non-alcoholic. It has the consistency of kombucha and made with fresh ingredients. The Moontower space is small with indoor and covered outdoor seating. The Cider company is no-frills nor fancy, however, Chelsea was very friendly. It has a kind of no-frills type of personality. In addition, while parking in front of the building is limited, street parking is available.
