This OG brewery is the bees knees. Situated on a large parcel of land (165 farmland acres to be exact). They've got an events hall, goats, a grotto, an inn (cabins on property for rent), playground for kids, and tons and tons of seating. Family-friendly and dog-friendly. They stress all dogs be leashed and have multiple signs advising this. Too bad a fellow patron ignored the rules with his off-leash dog who decided to wander over to us. After me telling him several times to leash his dog, his wife finally did it. I mean come on. I'm not going to let one bad apple ruin the review. It's not the fault of the brewery. This is such a cool, rustic, idyllic setting. They get extremely busy on the weekends but staff are fast and friendly with getting pour orders up. More than ample seating available. There's just so much available. Even with a lot of people in attendance, the amount of land allows for quieter areas should you choose so. The open fields have trees for shading as well. A couple of bathrooms across the property make it so you don't have to walk far from wherever you're located. I personally love the vintage Airstream converted to a bathroom. Well two actually, the Airstream has a men's and women's room. The covered patios are also large and have a dance hall vibe. Live music and deejays perform from under the covered patios. Food truck onsite (their own) & pizzas are made onsite too. The food looked really good though we didn't try any. We shared two pours (2-half pours) that were amazing. One was a sour which I don't normally like. This one, I liked. The table beer was perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day. Also had a hibiscus mint iced tea=yum. The beers are so special. Like the best of the best in craft beer world. Beers are made with water from their well and native wild yeast. The grains are locally sourced and certified organic. Other ingredients like fruit, herbs, etc. all come from Hill Country. You can absolutely taste the difference. Fantastic products and visit. Note: Because it's in the country and off the beaten path, the roads and parking lots aren't the best. Dusty with lots of rocks and deep holes. Be careful not to drive more than 5 mph.
AWESOME PLACE! My husband and I have been wanting to come out here for years, and we finally made it with dog and toddler in-hand. This place is so cool! Quiet countryside with plenty of space to really space out- my favorite! There's a kids playground area, tables in a field, tables in the beer garden under the shade of trees, and tables "inside" a long barn that has live music and TVs (and heaters). The whole place is dog friendly and just friendly. There is a goat barn which you can do a walk with them, but no one seemed to be doing it on the day we came. It's a paradise whether you have kids, dogs, or not. 50/50 shade for the summers but on beautiful days it's the perfect setting! Now the beer- amazing!! All of it! The IPAs really hone in on the flavors and not the bite. I would say they're beautiful IPAs- they do it right. We will definitely suggest this place to all of our friends and family and plan to come back!
From the moment I got here, there was one word that came to mind- idyllic. Beer- I had the Sasha (named after the house dog) which is a Hazy IPA and delicious. I also tried their Pilsner which was good Goat Walk- an absolute must while here (and it's available). What better way to view the sunset walking around with 73 goats, a beer in hand while you learn about this amazing property. Food- I dropped the ball and didn't order any but it looked amazing. (Just another reason to come back) This place was on my national bucket list for a reason and I'm so glad it lived up to my hype :)

All of the seating is outdoors, which made it even better for the beautiful weekend we were having. You can order at the counter or scan a QR code at your table to order and pay, then just wait for your name to be called. We ordered a couple of pints and some pizzas to share. The wood-fired pizza was honestly amazing. We tried the Pekel pizza, which has pickles on it. It sounds strange but just trust it!!! We also got a classic pepperoni that was fire! My boyfriends a fit king and ordered a salad and he really enjoyed that as well. Great beer, great pizza, and a beautiful location. Definitely worth the stop.
We got here around 2 o'clock on a Monday afternoon and found it to be a little quiet. They have a lot of parking available. It is off of the beaten Path so it is dirt road. They are located on a huge farm so there's tons of open field for kids to run around and play they also have a little play area for the kids as well. There's plenty of seats so if you have a large group, definitely a great location to bring them to. They do have a good selection of beers as well as ciders. They also have a kitchen so you can order food as well and while we didn't order food, everything that came out smelled really good. My husband got the black metal which is a dark lager and he really enjoyed it. I tried two of the ciders and both of them were delicious.
I think the trick to going anywhere where it might get busy is to go on a Monday or Tuesday. On our way back from a trip to Fredericksburg, we stopped at Jester King and loved it! We were able to walk around while we waited for our pizza to be finished. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and accommodating. It was such a nice place to enjoy a great beer and great pizza.
Amazing pizza, never would've thought to put lemon slices on it but it was sooo delicious! Snorkel amazing as always. Very relaxing ambiance. Highly recommend!

We're currently dining at Jester King Brewery, and so far, it's making a great first impression. The space is huge -- tons of room to spread out, with ample parking right out front. It's also very dog-friendly, which is a big plus for us. We brought three dogs with us. There are lots of seating options scattered throughout the grounds, all covered, so you can comfortably enjoy the outdoors without baking in the sun. The menu is impressive and diverse. Between the wood-fired pizzas, food trucks, and an extensive drink selection, there's something for everyone. We spent a few hours on the lake earlier today and decided to finally make the trip out here, since Jester King is a bit out of the way from where we live in Austin. It ended up being the perfect time to visit. I'll update this review once we've had a chance to try the food and drinks -- but so far, the vibes are on point.
If by some miracle I'm able to find the energy to drive 30-45 minutes outside of Austin, I will make sure I got to Jester King. This is such a great and amazing place to take people for the first time. Being out in the sticks, it's a very immersive experience and you get to see all the goats on the farm. If you want a country ranch vibe,this is the place to go. The property is so big and there's so much to see and explore while you wait for your food to be ready. And now on to the food. Everything here is amazing. They are masters of pizza. Every single one is made with care and ingenuity. The different toppings and sauces are all so good and you can taste how fresh the crust is since they cook it in a classic pizza oven. Their house hot honey is also an amazing addition to any dish.
Jester King Brewery is a place where dreams are made of. Delicious beers and goats like absolutely yes! The location is gorgeous, truly beautiful Texas country side. I tried the satyr beer which was your regular ole light Pilsner and their auguste cerise cider. Both were delicious. This place has a lot of charm.

Pro tip: Go earlier in the day if you want to avoid lines or snag limited-release bottles. It can get busy on weekends, especially during nice weather. Whether you're a beer nerd, nature lover, or just want to chill outside with a pizza and a pint, Jester King is well worth the trip.
Jester King Brewery in Austin Texas was such a vibe! They had live music, great beer (of course!), and even animals roaming around the farm setting was so cute. There were plenty of seats to relax and take it all in. We ordered the supreme pizza with their focaccia bread and wow, everything tasted so fresh. The prices were reasonable and they had a variety of beer, wine and cider. I really loved the grafter blanc cider I ended up buying a bottle to go! Perfect spot to hang out, enjoy good food, and soak up the atmosphere. Highly recommend! If I'm ever in Austin I would definitely visit

My husband and I decided to go to Jester King Brewery while in the area. We parked in the lot. It was rocky but not bad. We walked through the parking lot and on the path to the pizza and bar area. We past a large field that had a playscape and noticed that there was also a path that leads to a goat experience. We didn't do that but I wouldn't mind seeing what that's like in the future. When at the pizza and bar area we were greeted by a friendly person that took our order and name. Then we went and found a place to sit. The dining area is huge with plenty of places to sit. There were also several water refill stations which is great. Someone eventually called our name and my husband picked up our order. My husband ordered an iced hibiscus mint tea to try. He liked it. I tried it and the hibiscus flavor was a little too strong for me. We decided to share two pizzas. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the pickle pizza. The pepperoni pizza was good. The crust was light and airy and the pepperoni had flavor. The pickle pizza was delicious. I've never had anything like it. The pizza crust was light and the pizza was flavorful. On a side note the bathroom that I experienced was in an airstream trailer and they were clean. They had other bathrooms onsite but I didn't see them. Overall Jester King Brewery was a very cool place to stop. The open field, playscape, and different experiences are great for families. The service was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. The dining area was big and the pizza was pretty good. I hope to eventually get back there for the goat experience. read more

beautiful drive out here, easy parking, and honestly a great sunset spot if you time it right. grabbed the mint hibiscus tea (super refreshing), an imperial stout (rich, cozy, exactly what i wanted), and the chicken salad sandwich which was way better than i expected -- simple, fresh, and filling. and the goats!! for $10 you can go into the pen with them, and there are like... 40 goats?? ridiculously cute, chaotic in the best way, and absolutely worth it. instant serotonin. there was live music in the barn while we were there, which made the whole place feel extra warm and communal. feels like one of those spots you can bring out-of-town friends to and know it'll be a win, but also somewhere you'd happily come back to again and again. great drinks, good food, goats, music, sunset. hard to miss. read more

We came to Jester King for Easter Sunday for the egg hunt and it was so fun! The egg hunt was very well organized with them giving the younger kids a headstart to collect eggs before letting the wild older ones go. Goat experience is really fun and cute for kids. The live country music with a pint of beer on a beautiful sunny day really makes the entire experience enjoyable. The only letdown was the vegan pesto pizza, especially after an hour long wait. The sauce was too bitter, slightly burnt making the combination of flavors and toppings taste bad and I'm not a fan of their cashew cheese. read more

This place from an ambiance and a beer experience is superb. Good collection of beer, wine , great seating area, local vendors selling stuff etc But, - the wait line for beer is 30 mins while standing in queue - wait time for ordering beer via mobile was 45 mins - wait time for pizza after ordering via app was 90 mins - wait time for food from the food truck was 2.5 hours These service levels are unacceptable. I wish they had told us at the outset what the lead time was. read more

This is one of my favorite barn/breweries in Austin. Their food is incredible - many vegan friendly options!! They also have a food truck in the back - with more vegan options besides pizza like vegan loaded nachos (what?!) what's more is that the food is delicious! I love coming here. Especially on a weekend, to get a nice laid back, country vibe. They have live music, kids and dogs are running around and you can just chill! Definitely recommend it! read more

My husband and I love trying breweries in places we travel so this was a must. We arrived shortly after they opened so it was a little quiet and discombobulated when we arrived. They were out of a couple beers we asked for and a couple of the pizzas. Their menu isn't very big for either so that was a little disappointing. Overall the food we did get and beers we drank were great!! The wine we tried was horrible though. I don't know if they fermented too much or sat out in the sun too long but they were...... very hard to drink.... I don't think we will go out of our way to come back but I'm glad we tried it. read more

It's an experience. The farmhouse setting, wide-open Hill Country views, and laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy a few beers. Their farmhouse ales and mixed fermentation brews are creative, complex, and unlike anything you'll find at a standard taproom. Plenty of space to roam, helpful, and knowledgable staff. read more

It was okay. The atmosphere was super family friendly with lots of puppers and kids running around. The wait for a relatively small pizza was crazy! It took about an hour and a half for a six slice pizza. We got the Apollo which was their specialty pizza and it was good but nothing too spectacular. I think it would be a lot better when it is still light out. There are some hanging lights but it's pretty dark in most areas. We got there right after the sun set and so it was hard to see what the space actually looked like. There's a ton of parking and it's out in the middle of nowhere. There were so many cars but we didn't actually see where everyone was. Overall it was an okay experience, not sure if I would go back. If I did, it would be during the day and not as hungry so that the wait doesn't feel as long. read more

Great family friendly spot! We came on a Saturday afternoon with some friends, there was a live bluegrass band, it looked like a cactus event had just ended. Huge piece of property, tons of space for kiddos to run and play, also a playground. They even have a huge area with goats, it was $10 a person to enter, my 1.5 year old had a blast running around and watching and petting them, she loved their dog too. The beers were great we tried the German Pilsner, the Sasha hazy IPA, and the blonde ale. We enjoyed them all. Later on we ordered a few pizzas, the pepperoni, the Pekel, and Funkadelic. They were all wonderful, fresh ingredients and had a lovely charred crust. We don't live in Austin but when we are back we will definitely visit Jester King again! read more
July 4, 2025 review ---- I went there again after a year and this time, and this time I got to try the 3 different vegetarian pizza. Capri was amazing just like last time. This has fresh lioni mozzarella, village farms heirloom Cherry tomatoes garlic oil, balsamic pickles red onions, and basil pesto and cracked bell pepper. This was $19. Next was Cauli - which as the name suggests had the cauliflower, cashew cheesez pickled radishes and kale pesto. It was all vegan. This was $17. Another one we tried was citron- very different. First time in my life (even the friends who went together said the same), I saw lemon on pizza. This pizza has basil, fresh lioni mozzarella cheese, garlic oil, calabrian chillies, dill, hot honey and ofcourse slices lemon. This was $18. To give you estimate, the order for above 3 vegetarian pizza took almost 25 mins. Good thing is you can place the order using QR which is there on each table. And then you can directly head to pickup area. Even the wait to pickup the pizza can be 5-10 min because the team is short staffed and they are running from taking the new order to get the drinks ready. Plenty of parking. Both open and shaded seats available. We went there on July 4, they had live music. They also have goats in a fenced area which you can go and see, almost 10 mins of walk. Definitely a kids friend place, lot of people were there hanging around little ones. Also their printed menu is sometimes little different than what's listed online when you scan the QR code. Online menu has more options than printed menu. Overall a great place to hangout, enjoy the pizza with drink in a nice weather or with the sunset views. They are open all 7 days in week. read more

This place is so cute and SUCH a vibe!! The food was very delicious and they were many options on the menu. There is so much room for kids to run around and play and there is also live music. I love how when you order your food you will get a text message when your food is ready so don't have to wait in line. BUT I have one complaint when I got the delicious hummus, pita and other vegetables there was a... HAIR I REPEAT A H A I R IN MY FOOD!!!!! I was like ok... and kept eating when I saw under the celery the was a pile of DIRT under all the vegetables, but it was still super yummy! Jester King will always have a special place in my heart. I learned about it long before moving to Austin. Upon learning I was a sour beer lover, my friends in Wisconsin introduced me to Jester King, which at the time was a hot commodity in Wisconsin as it could not be purchased in stores and my friends had driven 20-some hours from Austin to Madison and brought a few bottles with them. Unexpectedly, a few years later, I moved down to Austin, Texas for grad school. What was the first thing I did after moving here? I drove out to Jester King. I've celebrated a lot of birthdays here, as have my friends, and I have a ton of good memories tied to this place. The energy here is very chill and it's great to unwind here after a crazy week at work. There are a number of outdoor areas you can sit in. There is a covered area which is heated in the wintertime, and a nice wooded area which is shady enough in the summer. The covered area often has live musicians playing at on weekends. Their beer and pizza are amazing and will bring you life after a long day of rock climbing at Reimer's Ranch. I love that they rotate their menu and focus on a lot of local ingredients. I love that they have goats on the premises. I also love that sometimes they have baby goats that the employees knit tiny little sweaters for. This place is a vibe and I highly recommend y'all check it out! As someone who just moved to another state, this is one of the places I'll miss in Austin. read more

This place was a gem. The tour was one of the more unique ones I have done and I have been on plenty of brewery tours. It's not just a discussion of what 3 things make beer, but about what makes this brewery unique, which is their aging and farmhouse beers and their story. Michael was a great tour guide and I learned a lot about their spontaneous and farmhouse processes. The pizzas were also delicious, after the tour we sat in the beer hall with our drinks, listened to live music, ate great pizza and had an awesome afternoon. We will be back and also on the lookout for their beers in store and when out. read more

This is one of the only places that makes me not want to move out of Austin, and out of Texas. Pizza 10/10, beer selection 10/10, environment 10/10, goats 10000/10. I'll miss this place endlessly. read more

Yes they check ID and give you a wristband so you don't have to show ID every time. Not seeing the issue unless your trying to drink underage...
