This is a small local food truck that serves a variety of barbecue and seafood plates, including their fall off the bone, turkey legs. I ordered three different platters from them and I could say that everything was so delicious. I wasn't too fond of the pasta and rice that came with the order. The people there were so kind and seemed happy to be there! They provide beepers upon you completing your order so you are able to go back to your car while you wait. I went around 4 PM on a Sunday and I would say that the vibe was real chill. There's a gas station and car wash right next to it. I only get to the side of town a few times a year so anytime I am able to get to the spot I gotta go! This time didn't hit the same. I go big every time with the Mac attack. This time around it just wasn't special. It was good. Just not special. Plus the prices went up! It was $50 for the Mac attack and one single turkey leg. Plus the tip! The young lady was super nice, and she got everything going for me, but that's kind of her job- so there was nothing spectacular with the service. So with this meal costing more than a trip to Chauma Gauchas, I can't In good faith give them. Five star review for it just being okay. This one hurt man. I'll be back next year though. read more

it was worth the hype and everything everybody was saying about it was true, when I pulled up, it seemed like it wasn't gonna be much which it was it was everything it had all the flavor I expected. Of course the turkey was gone, but I had the baked potato and it was so delicious. read more

Sooooo good yall! Cajun platter in special for $22 in April and May 2025. Unfortunately you have to walk up for these. No order ahead. So worth every dollar y'all! Also, tried the classic turkey leg. Delish!! Fall off the bone goodness!! Brisket quesadillas were also part of our order. Filled with lots of white cheese & brisket that was so tender and meaty and yummmmy!! This was a pre movie date meal. I am one of the few who believe the food at Santikos Westlakes is not half bad, but you get tired of it after a while. Figured this would be quick. I read the reviews, and figure why not? We had the plain turkey leg, some side shrimp, sausage, and the Mac turkey shrimp bowl. This place has so many reviews, and for the most part I agree. The turkey was cooked perfectly! I will say this, it isn't even close to the best turkey leg I've had. For anyone out there that knows about what a true slow smoked turkey leg is, there is absolutely no comparison. I was missing that smoke flavor. The turkey and sausage were also cooked great but the sauce on the pasta was a tad salty. The price was ok, not great but tolerable. Where the shrimp was cooked great and had great flavor, the sausage was not too appetizing. Overall it was great, but I wasn't blown away. Also, the wait was a lot longer than we expected. I noticed a bag sitting at the counter, and wondered if it was ours. After a while, I had the hunch to go check, as we were getting closer to our movie time. It was ours, and hadn't been paged. Didn't get the big deal, and it isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when you have this much hype, I was expecting to be absolutely blown away! It was between a 3/4. Service was prompt and excellent. Food was delicious! I ordered the turkey potato and it didn't fail to impress me. My friend ordered the Cajun seafood and rice which she said is ALWAYS good. Let. Me. Tell. You. Bomb! Turkey leg hut Whooooooo??? These turkey legs are so delicious and tender. They are seasoned and smoked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese is okay. It's just basic noodles and a white sauce but it's a good compliment to the turkey leg. I had the one with the special sauce and Parmesan. That sauce has a kick now so be careful. My husband has the regular leg and it was just as good. My son got the bowl and didn't save me not one shrimp. So I know it was good lol It's a good truck and there isn't much space so do yourself a favor and park by the car wash and walk over lol. There will be a line bc I mean you see the food! Turkey was mid but a bit too saucy. The special sauce tasted a bit weird but it was okay leaves a vinegar after taste. Personally it's like a 3/5 but way too overpriced. I got a rice bowl for 4$ wow and it was a small cup of rice that was unseasoned with no flavor that was nasty to eat. The service was nice as the lady was nice to me. The ambiance is nice with picnics but should have a cover during the summer. I live in the area and I dont plan to return. read more

Absolutely delicious!! Full of flavor and tender! Unfortunately they ran out of rice (was really looking forward to it) but they gave a pint of Mac and cheese in its place. Definitely worth the drive if you don't live on that side of San Antonio or even in the area. P.S. both plates easily fed two people with half of it saved for leftovers. read more

Service here is amazing! The staff is so kind and helpful. The food here is so delicious and definitely worth a wait! There is no seating here or bathrooms here so just you know what you're in for! I'm not one to hate on popular food spots, but this was a no from start to finish. The food, the seating, the prices, none of it hit. The only decent thing in the seafood boil was the shrimp. The mac and cheese had this weird lemon flavor that overpowered everything, and the turkey leg was dry. Whole experience was a letdown. read more

They have two areas where you can get different kinds of food and even an opting to bring your own bag. The staff is friendly and the owner is cool af. Update So since my last review I've eaten here several times after finding something more take for my sensitive palate AND after bringing my man here. My next trip and two trips after I bought the potato. It's so friggin good. It can't be eaten in one sitting. I mean it could but you'd have a major case of the Itis. One trip, i brought a coworker from Baltimore with me who is now hooked. Last visit I brought my man who was mesmerized and called it witchcraft because it was so flavorful, moist and tender to the bone. I enjoyed this place so much, drove out to the trucks location and felt welcomed immediately. The truck itself is parked right next to the giant smoker it hauls and oooh what a smell it gives off. Met the owner, Lomeli and he was super cool. Last but not least the food was delicious. I ordered the Buffalo Mac Attach, smoked turkey seasoned perfectly on a bed of Mac and cheese smothered in an Alfredo sauce topped with nice pieces of shrimp. For being a small local food truck, they have the best seafood platters and at a reasonable price of $22. You can't beat it.. I also like their turkey prepared baked potatoes. They're the best. I love their secret sauce. They have the best customer service. They're the nicest people ever and the food is awesome. I recommend this place 100%. I drive 45 minutes to get here. I've been wanting to try this place for the last two years. I'm so happy I was in the area on a day their open. I got a lemon pepper turkey leg and Mac n cheese. I have been waiting for so long to try this food truck. Summer seemed to last for 9 months and since it's all the way across town for me, I didn't want to sit outside in the 106 degree weather to eat. That being said, the shrimp on the mac was outrageously good! The mac was good too. The special sauce was not so special as was the service. Service was fine, but I feel a food truck should put forth the same love as a restaurant. This is seriously the best turkey leg in town. It literally fell right off the bone when I picked it up. I also had a side of Mac and cheese that I didn't get a chance to take a picture of that was pretty dry. Not much of an ambiance since it is a food truck. Decided to head across town and check these guys out. It's a food truck located next to a sketch car wash and convenience store. Ordering was easy and they will provide you a buzzer to wait for your order. There were quite a few orders ahead of us and we waited about 15 minutes. We ate in the truck as there are no tables; so be prepared to eat in your car or take it home. Food was hot and delicious. We both enjoyed our meals. Bring your own drinks if you plan to eat there. My experience was pretty much exactly like a previous reviewer- Shardanay. I've been to another stuffed turkey leg style place in Houston so I know they tend to be more expensive and I was prepared for that. But I was really disappointed by the flavor. It was really just so-so. Eatable, but nothing I would get excited about. We had both the shrimp alfredo and another shrimp one. Both needed more sauce and the rice was a little dry. We also wished the turkey leg itself even without the sauce was seasoned or flavorful. We went around 8pm on a Friday and had no line. The food came out quickly and the employees were nice. Phenomenal meal!!!! Born and raised on this side of Marbach and so happy to have this by my home because wowwwwww. The service was good, quick and easy located by another food truck with birria tacos. The turkey and Mac was absolutely an amazing combo with the buffalo sauce on the side to pour over a bit and shrimp on the side because my friend doesn't love shrimp but I sure do. 10/10 ... That has yet to happen, but luckily there's a secondary location in San Antonio that I got a chance to try this past weekend. Pinkerton's is in the heart of downtown San Antonio, just a few blocks off the River Walk and right next to the Frost Bank Tower. As I parked in a lot off Travis Street (they validate two hours' worth of parking btw), I met up with my dad inside, who was drooling at the possibility of getting a beef rib. That's really the only thing I haven't explored deeply in the barbecue journey, but I wasn't gonna stop his desires. Inside, Pinkerton's has plenty of space, with tons of wooden tables and benches, and a full bar. They operate from 11 am to 9 pm most days, so they have enough meat to last them well into the evening. We got there about 1 pm, and though there was no immediate line, it was busy. The line kinda came in waves. It seemed like multiple groups would all show up at once and wrap around the building every 15 minutes or so. I'll list everything we had and my thoughts: Brisket: One thing about Pinkerton's that is different than elsewhere is how peppery all of their meats are. It's different than everything else I've had on my journey, but I'm a fan. The brisket was pretty good. Nothing extraordinary, but quite solid. Pork Ribs: The glaze they throw on top of the pork ribs makes it special. They are sweet and super flavorful. It's just a good, classic pork rib altogether. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Pinkerton's has like six different sausage options, which is far too many in my opinion. Sausage peaks at three. Regular, jalapeño, and one special, if even. This was the only "bad" thing that I had here. It was just unmemorable and tasted bland. Beef Ribs: I've never had a beef rib, so I don't know what I should've expected, but good God almighty, that thing is truly a delight to the senses. The peppery bark and the savory beef are incredible. I've been missing out. South Texas Beans: Their beans are sensational. I don't know if I've had beans as good as the beans here at Pinkerton's. There was such a savory flavor to them that my dad and I couldn't quite put our finger on, but they felt familiar and comforting. Jalapeño Cheese Rice: Kinda tasted like a baked potato casserole, just lacking the starchiness, obviously. The rice mushing and sticking together gave it a very similar texture and flavor though. Ultimately, this is a great spot. It doesn't hit the highs of the true Texas Monthly spots here in San Antonio, but it's still a worthy establishment. I recently visited Texas Front Yard BBQ Food Truck, and it is hands down the BEST food truck in San Antonio! I've been multiple times, and the food never disappoints. Their turkey leg is simply immaculate. After tasting it, I can't imagine wasting my time on anyone else's. The staff were nice and patient. Great pricing too! I discovered them on TikTok and am so glad they're conveniently located on my side of town.
