Our first night out, the place was fairly empty for a weeknight. We had walked to the restaurant from the river walk, and it was hot and muggy, so much so that my cell phone had condensation on the lenses, thus the out of focus pics. Place has an old-time western feel to it with cows on the wall, not sure about the skeleton at the bar, but it's still fun. Our server was super quick and their homemade bread with honey butter was delicious! I got the second cut brisket with a side of potato salad and greens and two others in our party went all out with the all you can eat barbecue. Really the all you can eat is just the amount of food that they bring you the first time around as they bring out a loaded platter of ribs, poultry, sausage, and brisket along with potato salad, baked beans, macaroni, salad, queso dip with chips, and I'm sure I'm missing something else. My 2nd cut brisket was very good and tender with a strong smoke flavor. Their sausage has a mild almost kielbasa taste to it, which went well with the queso dip. The standout was the barbecue ribs, which were very good, tender with a nice bite and good smoke flavor and barbecue sauce. While it didn't have the best reviews we decided to give it a chance We were seated inside, and I decided to have the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. Potato was great, pulled pork was really good even though I will say visually this is not what you think of when you think of pulled pork. Quite frankly when they first brought it out, I actually thought it was curry. My husband got the plate with ribs, lean brisket, pulled pork, and for sides, he got the collard greens and the potato salad. The brisket was pretty dry and the ribs had a weird seasoning to them, which he honestly just couldn't get past and didn't end up eating much of them. Pulled pork wasn't to his liking. He just didn't like the flavor of it . Collard greens are pretty good. They definitely had a lot of heat to them and potato salad was good although they are heavy on the dill pickle side. I knew that while visiting Texas, I had to have BBQ at least once. Since I could not drive to my regular place (I used to live in SA), I decided to visit the County Line on the River Walk. After we arrived, we were greeted right away and they did not make us wait until everyone arrived to seat us. They had a large selection to choose from which is always helpful. Place was pretty busy for a Monday night in February, but the weather was perfect, so we sat outside on the patio for a quick bite. I had an order of wings and a Lone Star. My friend had the brisket tacos and he said they were really good. The tacos came out in just a couple of minutes and the wings followed a few minutes later.
