Nice restaurant in Hyatt Agency downtown overlooking the Riverwalk. Beware, parking is expensive in the lot next door and they do not validate parking. My Ancho Chile Short Rib and my friend's Pasta with Chicken were both tasty and the chocolate dessert was delightful.
I stopped by Q Kitchen on my second night in town. It was pretty late at night, but the bar was still boisterous. I was helped right away and ordered a canned mocktail plus the brisket quesadilla. As I was waiting for the quesadilla, I realized I was starting to doze off (it had been a LONG day of work), so I asked if my order could be revised to takeout instead. I felt bad switching it up, but they were cool about it. I brought it upstairs not long after and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It was super well-made and a step above what you might expect from a hotel lobby restaurant.
No buffet today but just as well since we like the breakfast menu. Hubby loves their Mexican items, and the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes are divine. Again, Anthony waited on us and he is great. You can tell from the pictures that the view of the Riverwalk is a perfect way to start the day.
The food here was amazing! This was my first time eating here and I would honesty come back. The steak and eggs were made perfectly. The beans were good as well. The service was great. The ambiance was beautiful and peaceful. Thank you staff for an amazing experience.
Since we were staying at the hotel we decided to have dinner here. We got here for dinner close to 10pm and they were on the late night menu. We got the Q burger and Pappardelle with Chicken. Both items we got were a disappointment. The burger was dry and didn't have much flavor. Pappardelle didn't have much sauce on it, and what was there was bland.
If you are looking for an indoor breakfast spot and still want to get a little view of the riverwalk check out Q Kitchen. They also have plenty of TVs that are usually playing sports. I also heard some live acoustic music in the evenings. This morning I tried out the San Antonio Breakfast Skillet with a side of bacon and blueberry-pork sausage. It was more than plenty for one person that I needed a to-go box. The chorizo is flavorful and pairs well with the ranchero salsa. Definitely try the blueberry-pork sausage! It is delicious! I was a little hesitant because the word blueberry was throwing me off, but it was perfect. There is a little hint of maple syrup too and not too strong of a blueberry flavor. I also learned that if you want a coffee from the MKT. Place in the hotel you totally can add it to your order. I went with a lavender oat milk latte and it was divine. They provide friendly and prompt service with a smile!
There was 4 others besides myself. I sat at the bar. I ordered a glass of pino grio and a crème brûlée. The bar tender disappeared, the pino wasn't good (sent it back when she returned). So I asked for my dessert to go b/c I'm tired. She immediately tells me no and "here is what you can take out" shoving another menu at me. I simply stated, " May I have a carry out container and I'll put it in that." Carolina was sooooo rude yall. Like if you don't like working with the public, choose another line of work. That's the post. If you stop in, let me know how it went.
Located inside the Hyatt Regency River Walk Hotel, some co-workers and I stopped by after a long day of meetings. I ordered a bourbon to get started with a cocktail. For dinner, the kickin wings and Q Burger. The wings were well cooked in a house made buffalo sauce with a touch of spice. The burger was average size but pilled high with all the trimmings. Both very tasty. The staff was great and provided everything we needed. Slightly dimmed lighting, moderate crowd noise and a nice size bar. Prices a little higher than average but the food was good and service better.
We stayed at the Hyatt for St Patrick's weekend and had our breakfast at Q kitchen since it was very convenient location . The first day we tried the buffet , it was kind of a disappointment, a lot of empty items and it took time to fill it up. I had to ask 2 different people just to get a coffee. I wish they had the coffee out so we can just do self service . The food was okay , my hubby mentioned the omelette was really good . The 2nd day we opted for Ala carte and the menu was very limited . We had a nice view of the green river walk so that was kind of nice , our server did not really check on us or ask if we need anything.
Very convenient spot to grab a bite to eat when staying at the Hyatt Regency. Breakfast this morning was a nice and chill environment to enjoy my coffee and garden omelette. It was very good and I would definitely get that again. My wife decided to sleep in so I got the avocado toast for her to go. She was perfectly satisfied with it and would recommend.
Oh Q Kitchen Bar thanks for simply being the best! I stayed at the Hyatt for 19 days and frequently stopped by the Q Bar because the food was tasty, the drinks delicious, and the service fantastic. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays live music was played during the evenings which was very pleasant. They had a menu change while I was there so I'm not sure if everything I ate is still available. I particularly loved the brisket flatbread but the shrimp avocado tacos was where it was at. They were large, flavorful, and quite filling! I found when I wanted a light meal they were absolutely perfect. The avocado caprese salad was good but would have liked more cheese and less avocado. Once the cheese was gone I didn't think the avocado could carry the tomato like the cheese could. But with any restaurant it was the people working there that made me come back time and time again. Leeza and DJ were super pleasant to talk with - easy going, good listeners, and very responsive. There was another bartender whose name I didn't catch who was also very responsive and noticed when I needed something. Then there was Ryan who became part of my vacation experience because his knowledge of cocktails and alcohol was astounding. When the evenings were slow he would experiment with ingredients and come up with an array of flavors that were just marvelous. I am quite astounded that a craft cocktail bar hasn't swooped in to steal Ryan away but I am sure the Hyatt realizes how amazing of a bartender there is. But my shoutout has to go to Isaac. Isaac warmly greeted me when I first came and made me feel like a regular from day one. Not only that - one night when a particular man wouldn't leave me alone despite me telling him I had no interest in what he wanted Isaac stepped in and deftly helped out. I have been in this situation a few times in my life but this is the first that I had someone in the other side of the bar step in and intercede. I don't think if Isaac hadn't that the drunk guy would have left me alone. For that I am especially grateful.
Had such an over the top breakfast here ! Highly recommend visiting their breakfast menu ! The egg white oven roasted breakfast with pesto !!! What a delightful combination of food with unique flavor. We had to then order the Huevos rancheros, ORDER NOW ! Made with brisket this one of a kind combo is a party in your belly ! The ambiance is nice and comfortable. This restaurant definitely has a one of a kind view from the inside top floor so You can see the river walk ! The service is one of a kind. We had such a wonderful time because of Anthony and Ashlee ! They make you feel like family and we had a delightful conversation and time because of them. Thank you Hyatt !

Party of 2, dined on Monday 1100, Monday 2300 and Tuesday 0900. OVERALL Great service, great food, great ambiance. SERVICE Two out three of our servers were named Marie/Maria and Leeza. All three servers were attentive, kind, and helpful. We received water and coffee refills without asking. ALL AMERICAN We exerperienced this meal two different days. The potatoes are deliciously seasoned and crispy yet soft and fluffy. Hard boiled eggs were prepared perfectly and arrived hot. The chicken sausages were sweet and savory. The preserve was divine, well bodied, and high quality. The wheat and sourdough toasts were toasted just right where they were crisp and soft. TEXAS WAFFLE Worth a try! Crisp, fluffy, and perfectly texture and flavored waffle. Great size for sharing. The berries topped with were fresh. The fresh whipped cream was creamy and thick and refreshing. STEEL CUT OATMEAL This is a large portion and great for 2-3 people. The oats were cooked tender with the right amount of water content. The bananas and blueberries were fresh and ripe. The toasted coconut was browned well, flavorful, and crisp. The honey and hemp seeds(?) Were a great addition. FRUIT CUP All fruit were ripe and fresh: honeydew, cantaloupe, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, pineapple. Crispy Chicken Wings Elected guajillo buffalo flavor. Great amount of heat and tang. Well-rounded flavor compared to a simple buffalo flavor. Accouterments in clouded fresh celery and Picasa. Smoky ranch was flavorful, not too rich, and a smooth consistency. Q Burger Elected a medium cooked burger. Very delicious, juicy, flavorful and balanced. All ingredients complimented each other. A burger lover would really enjoy this burger. AMBIANCE Very high ceiling. Open, fresh space. Surrounding sound was relaxing with the indoor river flowing next to the Q Kitchen. Cool climate control. Gentle country music low enough to hear and have a quiet conversation. Lights are lowered during late night dining. read more

We stayed at the Hyatt for four nights and had breakfast here each day, so we got to try a ton! Also, the atrium area of the hotel where Q kitchen is located is strikingly beautiful. Favorite item was the Alamo huevos rancheros. This was a rare treat to enjoy a dish with brisket, cheese, and salsa without some kind of heartburn afterwards. But this was lighter than expected and tasted amazing! Other dishes we tried: Egg white frittata: very good and a nice touch that it is served in a skillet! Texas waffle: was one of the best waffles either of us has had in a long time Blueberry pancakes: very good. I really enjoyed the stewed blueberry Chilaquiles: this we felt was the only miss. Didn't like that it was prepared with tortilla chips instead of fried tortillas Steak and eggs: ask for extra chimichurri sauce and maybe add some extra salt. Once you do that, this dish is fantastic Avocado toast: this definitely needs smoked salmon or other protein. Otherwise it isn't very substantial. I had it with smoked salmon and it really hit the spot. The service was polite and attentive. We're excited to return for our next visit read more

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency last week. We stopped in one evening to grab a drink and some food. I had a cup of the chowder soup which was delicious. My husband had the Q burger with truffle fries. He really enjoyed the burger. I can also say that the fries were delicious since I snagged some off of his plate. The bartender was super cool and attentive even though the bar was packed at the time of our visit. read more
Lovely breakfast experience at this restaurant during our stay at the Hyatt Regency. All of the food tasted delicious. We received complimentary mini chocolate croissants to start. Our entrees were yummy, and I loved my Avocado Toast. The Carved Fruit was truly an impressive plate, and all of the fruits were perfectly sweet! We stayed at the Hyatt regency after a wedding, so on the way out we decided to pop into the restaurant and grab some grub before heading home. I wish I could remember our waiters name because he was so great, very personable and answered all of our questions about the area. I am an on call employee for Hyatt so I stay with them often, and I am always impressed with their service level. I ordered the eggs Benedict and they were served texas style. What that means for y'all that ain't from round here, the hollandaise gets all fancied up with jalapeño and instead of sausage you get slabs of thick cut bacon. Yee!Haw! If all of this sounds heavy, don't worry, the arugula salad was a nice refreshing side, so the dish wasn't too filling. read more

Had a nice simple weekend breakfast at the Q kitchen in the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk. Ordered avocado toast and added smoked salmon. It was a perfect light breakfast with a nice iced tea. Service was prompt and courteous and the view of the atrium and river was very nice! read more

We had a mini staycation at our favorite hotel, the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk. Breakfast at the Q Kitchen was phenomenal! The food was incredible, but what made our dining experience so enjoyable was our server Fernando. Fernando is one of the few GREATS that are left in the world of hospitality! He has been with Hyatt for 30 years. His care, kindness, service and attention to detail was impeccable. Thank you for an amazing experience! read more
Really wish they didn't change the menu every few months! What lured us here isn't even served anymore! We saw the fried quail with waffles and the mudslide dessert and that's all it took for us to want to try them out. Too bad both items are no longer available. Not cool. The food: the sausage is extremely good here. Ribs have lots of flavor. The brisket is kind of dry but really different and good. The sides were okay. Cole slaw and beans. The bbq sauce is really spicy. Also the burbon pecan pie had too much burbon in it. Jesus Christ! Also don't be cheap! Use blue bell vanilla ice cream Atmosphere: great place to have drinks and eat dinner. Also nice place to catch a game. They also validate your parking. Management why do you all change the menu so much? I really want to try the fried quail and waffles. Can you all add that back to the menu? Thanks read more

WOW! had a chance to meet the chef and our group was able to taste some mighty good ribs that was crisp on the outside and tender, Ancho Honey Ribs remember that. Wine , Queso and Quail and Waffles OMGOOOD! sit back and relax in this nice spot and you will be glad to stopped by. So from the river you would walk into the Hyatt Hotel and go to the 2nd floor up to the Q Bar Kitchen. Open air bar with large windows you can actually see out to the river. If you are staying at the hotel the lobby check in is on the same floor. NICE! read more

I loved this place so much while I was visiting San Antonio!!!! It was one of the best hotel restaurants I've ever had. It was definitely worth the money since usual hotel restaurants are upscale but don't have as good food as this place. I was at this hotel for a week and I got to enjoy meals here almost everyday. It was hard to go eat anywhere else outside the hotel lol. My most favorite meals I had here that I had more than once were the huevos rancheros for breakfast, Q hot chicken which I had more than 3 times out of the week since I switched between having it for lunch or dinner. Lastly the house salad was really good, after having it as a side salad I decided to have it for dinner one of the nights. Overall the staff was great too and it was very nice just charging everything to the room which made paying convenient. I wish I lived closer to this place so I can keep eating here, it's now one of my reasons to come back to San Antonio! read more

This is definitely a solid lunch spot. It is a little on the pricey side for lunch but, it is within a hotel. That's is to be expected. I always get the Pasta Bar option. You can add your own pasta sauce or mix and match. (I mix the marinara and Alfredo) It's $15 and you get unlimited made to order pasta, salads, and a ton of dessert options. The $15 covers all soft drinks and tea as well. It's a nice spread for sure. The pasta is pretty delicious but sometimes they can make it a little on the oily side. I recommend asking for light oil, with the pasta chef. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings. Overall, if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks it's a great option! read more

Craft beer, appetizers and bigger dishes. All good. Ryan and Isaac are two excellent bartenders. Ryan displayed a deep knowledge of beers and was free in sharing his favorite dishes. Steak sandwich is good but stick with the fries. Their potato chips were unfortunate. Hamburger with fries was a good choice. Nice setting on the Riverwalk and inside the Hyatt hotel. read more

This was our favorite place to just go and sit in San Antonio. We ended a few nights here to have a casual drink in their nice bar/lounge area. There's live music on the weekends too. The bar area overlooks a nice indoor river area and you can relax while listening to the water go down the indoor water fall. There's never a wait and it's way less crowded than most of the places on the river walk- although because the all glass facade you still feel like you're dining on the river. The escape from the humidity is an added plus as well. For our last night in San Antonio, we decided to have dinner here. Great prices and good portion sizes as well. The service (we had Tina several times) was fantastic as well. Certainly recommend this not-your-average hotel bar/restaurant! read more
This is a hotel bar that serves food. The burger I got was an average burger but the service from Issac, Ralph and Leeza made up for it. A good selection local beers and samples were provided to make sure I did not venture down a path of disappointment. The fries that came with he burger wee actually very good. A pretty chill place to hang out and now the Hyatt maybe my go to in San Antonio. I had two local beers and they were pretty good. See the photos for choices on tap. Best word to describe this place is awesome. The set up at this restaurant was great, waiter Louie was great . The manager was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area and restaurant. Prices are reasonable. I love this restaurant. read more
