It is served over green curry, which also happens to be my favorite! The brisket is served on top of the curry bowl, so I first tried just the meat. It was fall apart tender, perfectly moist, and full of flavor! I would pick their brisket over most other BBQ joints in a heartbeat! Next up was the curry by itself. It was also delicious and filled with potatoes and carrots! I am used to green curry being pretty spicy, but this is definitely a milder green curry. When I mixed the brisket in it was the perfect combination! The smokey meat blended with the curry spices was a delight to the palette, and it was just the right amount of food for a big and hungry guy like me! Finally tried Curry Boys BBQ and wow... this place is seriously out of this world. Everything we ordered was great, but the pork belly dunkers were my absolute favorite. I would honestly go back just to order those again. The lemongrass BBQ sauce was insanely good!! It was so flavorful and it paired perfectly with the pork belly. I could probably drink that sauce if I'm being honest. And if you're wondering whether to trust my review... you probably should. But the service was great, plenty of seating inside, and the menu has a good variety! I got The Missing Link and although the curry was pretty good (def more mild than I like though), the sausage wasn't anything special unfortunately....apparently it was smoked but it seemed more steamed/boiled to me? I just wish it had some char on it. The Thai green salad was solid, but nothing too special. The ube ice cream (not made there) was a good way to end the meal! The flavors are robust within the curry and the brisket on their top selling Smoke Show Bowl is as good as any bbq restaurant. We ordered two bowls. The Smoke Show and the Magic Mushroom Bowl. For those seeking a vegetarian option, and coming from someone that typically enjoys some type of protein in their meal; the Magic Mushroom bowl is packed full of flavor. It seems that most of the curry dishes have a touch of spice but nothing that will blow you away. I also ordered the Curry Queso Hot Dog w/ a side of Green Curry Potato on the side to go. Great flavor and snap to the hot dog and the curry queso goes just right on top. That Green Curry Potato is next level. Curry boys is easily one of my favorite spots in San Antonio! Everytime I bring a new person, they love it and keep coming back. For parking, there are a few spots in front if you're lucky but I usually have no issues finding street parking. The inside is casual, you order upfront, seat yourself, and they will bring your food to you. Service is great! The brisket smoke show is my go-to order. The brisket melts in your mouth and is perfectly paired with the rice and curry. The curry does have a kick to it and as someone with a low spice tolerance, I still eat it cause it's that good. The curry chips and queso and tony porker are also great options. I've also done takeout a few times and the food tastes just as good later on! Dessert wise, their ube cheesecake is so yummy and creamy! They also carry ice cream from DORP (the best Asian flavors) which is another favorite of mine, most recently I had the ube and lychee strawberry flavors here and it was delicious! 10/10 recommend coming here! read more

The service was great. It was quiet inside in the middle of a weekday. When I entered, the first thing I noticed was the sharp scent of liquid smoke. The food is underwhelming. The brisket was good but it wasn't special. The veggies tasted heavily like butter. I got two carrots and one piece of potato. Normally I eat curry for the combination of the sauce and veggies. I feel maybe that's why I was so disappointed. This is nothing like traditional curry. Add to this, it wasn't spicy. Also, traditional rice is served on the side. The Pork Belly and Brisket were excellent and I would put them in the same league as some of the best BBQ offerings in the state. Great smoke flavor, well seasoned, and quite tender. Went early evening on a Saturday to make sure and get the Saturday rib special. They run out early, but we made it in time! I like the casual nature here, but with food that feels much more elevated than a counter order. You just order your drinks (beer and wine too) and food when you walk in and then find a seat. The indoor dining has a relaxed vibe and is perfect for small gatherings to catch up. There is also an outdoor area but since it was over 100d tonight, the only hot things I was interested in was my food. Since this is basically a converted house to a restaurant, parking is very limited to maybe 6 vehicles. There is a paid parking lot across the street, just in case it is full. Me and wifey started with the Thai Green Salad and it was delicious. Lots of flavors and some crunchy things in the bowl made it worth the try. We shared the recommended favorite, The Brisket Smoke Show and added the Good Luck Cluck for our entrees. Although you only get about 4oz of protein with the bowl, the brisket was very flavorful and left me wanting a bit more. The chicken was a little bland but the yellow curry spice made up for it in a big way. Both bowls had plenty of rice and enough curry taste to satisfy us. When you order your meal at the front door, the help is friendly and helpful on making recommendations which we appreciated. I think there is also a Stone Oak location, but when we passed by, it seemed to be less busy. Not sure this same concept works in a strip mall where it is located. I hate to do this, since I have given them rave reviews, but this time, the food was just mediocre. Always friendly service and parking was easily accessible. I ordered my usual Brisket smokeshow with noodles instead of rice and added chili oil flakes. Also, ordered the herb pickled cucumber slaw as a side. Very disappointed- the noodles looked dry and almost undercooked. The brisket lie next to the noodles and there was hardly any curry broth!! So sad. I went up to the counter to let them know, she apologized and brought it back to the kitchen to douse my meal with curry. My friend who ordered the same thing, but with the original rice... her dish had a scant amount as well and her rice was completely dry. Honestly.... Not super impressed. I love love love the concept of curry and BBQ but this was not it. The way I would describe this to friends is a bbq restaurant that has curry, not a BBQ curry fusion. We got the Tony porker and the missing link bowls to try. The meats on their own were good and the curry on its own( minus the carrots) were good but the combination of the two did nothing for me. It felt like they literally just threw some barbecued meat into a bowl of curry and called that a win. I hated HATED the baby carrots in the curry, usually like carrots in my curry but these tasted like microwaved frozen carrots that were haphazardly thrown into curry to try to tie the curry and bbq concept together. (Side note, the rice was a bit hard and cold. I'm unsure if that was intentional or not because when you mixed it with the curry the rice was the perfect texture and absorbed the flavor well). I seriously regret not trying the rib special that they had. A table next to us got it and it looked amazing. While the food is decent, the interior is so cute. I loved the bright pink interior, all of the plants and their names, the fireplace with a vintage tv in it playing some older movies. It seriously gives off such cozy vibes and I enjoyed every minute I spent in there. The other nice thing about this place is that they have designated parking spots for customers so you don't have to do street parking. Lexii immediately caught my eye with her warmth and unique style; employees who put effort and intention into how they present themselves is an overlooked green flag in the service industry. The restaurant is a lovely small space. We ordered at the walk up counter. The menu is not overwhelmingly extensive, which is good! We placed our order and going a place to sit. We ordered the Smoke Show and Good Luck Cluck. Both bowl were full of perfectly cooked rice, curry, and cilantro. The brisket was juicy and flavorful. The smoked chicken was smokey and delicious.
