Thai FIre Lime lives up to its "bold Thai Texas heat" claims. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, served fresh off the wok. I definitely reccommend their Grilled Bone in Short Rib, Thai Fire Takoyaki, and Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef. Their Holly Basil Stir Fry (Kra Pao) has a perfectly basilly flavor and the chicken was so tender. My favorite dish however was the comforting pad see ew with shrimps. The service was fast and kind, and I love their rewards program. Wish the inside was bigger but there's outdoor seating and a good amount of tables. Definitely recommend and will be back. We have gotten food here a couple of times and I am so glad this took over Wok on Wheels, which was disgusting food. This is the exact opposite when comes to cooking Asian food. We have enjoyed everything on the menu we ordered; including spring rolls, drunken noodles, and stir fry garlic pepper box. They ran out of short rib box, but it will be on my next order. It is a perfect location to go over and enjoy a cold beverage at Icehouse. Just tell them you are over there and they will walk it over to you. The lunch box popcorn chicken bowl was simply awesome! I wanted the pork bowl but they no longer had it so I ordered the bowl for us. One with flavorful garlic fried rice and the other with steamed rice. We loved the crispy exterior and tender interior chicken love! It's been open for four months. I am always on the hunt for good Thai restaurants in San Antonio. I have not run into any serving Kra Pao so I was interested. This restaurant is not near me by any means but when you have a craving sometimes you just gotta give. The good; the restaurant is clean and their are actually Thai people cooking. It has a small dining space of two-four person tables and one-two person table. The orders come out relatively fast and they are ripping. I stuck with level 2 (out of 1-5) because it was my first time here but that didn't have much heat at all. I ordered the Kra Pao and it did not disappoint. It was very seasoned and perfectly crispy. I opted for the garlic fried rice instead of plain and that was a great choice. My friend ordered the short ribs and she really enjoyed it. We also had the chicken skewers with peanut sauce (a must) and the egg rolls. My friend the Thai tea was good and strong. The egg rolls were good but could not compete with the rest of our order. We also ordered to go items such as pineapple fried rice and pad Thai. Overall the food was really good and I would definitely come back for the Kra Pao and chicken skewers. The service was awesome and very friendly. If I lived in the area this would easily be my usual take out place. I am kind of jealous that they have this neighborhood gem readily available to them. read more

The owner was friendly and gave recommendations on his specialty dishes without being pushy. The inside is very small, maybe 10 or 12 seats so if you plan to dine in, consider going early. My husband is not usually a Thai food fan but he thanked me for introducing him to Thai Fire Lime. We both enjoyed the grilled pork ribs bowl, chicken skewers, steamed rice and egg rolls. We made four meals out of the order. Previously had the dry ramen noodles and they were delicious. Next time ordering a spice level 4 as the 3 was mild for me. The server recommended the food we tried and it was exactly as he described. Place is smallish but clean and peaceful. It's cool to hear the wok banging in the kitchen. Just like I prefer. Everything about this place is great. I very rarely feel inclined to rave like this, as I am very picky of an eater, but this place is AMAZING. The Kra Pao Power Box is extraordinary. I tried mine with chicken and an extra egg. Truly the best dish I have ever had. Finding good Thai is very hard in San Antonio, but this is beyond good. Its fantastic. Down to the sweet and sour with the rangoons and the rangoons themselves, you can taste the difference in freshness. Everything is fresh, seasoned incredibly, and delicious. You can tell they care deeply about quality. I usually get very bloated very quickly and can't finish, but the second I took the first bite, I knew I was completing my meal right then and there. Even the staff in the restaurant is amazing, I wish I got the name of the young man who helped me today 5/17 from the kitchen, Id love to tell him "you were right!" The food was delicious! We ordered the Thai chicken skewers which were perfectly cooked (moist) and seasoned served with a side of peanut sauce. We also enjoyed the Fire Box Noodle: Pad Thai with shrimp and a side of edamame. It had the perfect amount of heat (level 1) and not a sweet sauce.
