    Thai Shrimp Bun
    Vanessa C.

First timer here and I really didn't know what to expect but it was delicious. I was able to taste an array of food but I ordered the Sweet Potato Noodle Bowl, light spice with pork belly and the Thai Shrimp bun. Both were great. I also tasted the edamame both the regular and the spicy. It needed some salt on the regular and the spicy wasn't spicy at all. I also tasted the mushroom dumplings and the shrimp dumplings and both were tasty. It is counter service but I appreciated that the girls at the front took some of our orders from the table. Also, it did take a bit for them to clean up the table and I didn't see a place to take our dirty plates. I would definitely come back to try more food!

Today's lunch special was the bulgogi rice bowl with drink (no pic) but my belly is full! Their house limeade was just as expected... Lil bit of tart a lot of freshness. Every visit I promised to try something new. Oh! Looks like they've expanded their space. Friendly staff who reminds you about the points earned for spending. Space is clean. And food is amazing! Their instagram MingsThing features both Elmira location and new la cantera spot. Check the out!

Yelp...you did it again...another great find. Was in the mood for Asian and after a quick search found this place. The staff was super friendly and helpful in decision making and the ambiance was relaxing. The food...WOW!!!! Definitely satisfied my craving. Would 100% recommend

The employees are always very sweet and welcoming. The ambiance here is very relaxing. I ordered to go this time but I've visited several times and have sat in. The food is amazing! Everything I've ordered thus far is amazing! My favorite is the cubano boa bun. I order at least 3x a month! So good, I'll definitely be returning.

Last minute food choice downtown after an event and IG was a total WIN! We got them close to closing, but they were so sweet and super quick to service. The place is a good size and really clean. They have larger and smaller tables depending on your party. They even have the larger tables saying "reserved for large parties". The food is fantastic. So much flavor! And they have gluten free options! We will definitely be back.

I absolutely love Korean food so when I heard about this place I had to come try it. We sampled the bulgogi rice bowl and bulgogi bao buns. Service was great, food was good. I'd definitely go back BUT they are not in my top 5 for Korean in SA.

Bomb pork belly buns. Tippled my Topo Chico with Crystal Lite :-) Got the Bogolgi buns too. Loved them.

I always LOVE Ming's for their bao buns. Vibe is always on point. Service is friendly and I love how they opened a connecting cafe that I can't wait to try out. The strawberry and cream and s'mores Sando's are on my list. My all time is the Bulgogi bao bun. I ordered 2 but should have gotten 3. Next fav is the friend shrimp. Can't wait for another excuse to stop in.

Cute location. Staff was very welcoming & friendly. I don't care for crispy/fried chicken but got this as recommended by staff and it was really good! Good portion size, enough for me to eat for dinner later. The slaw was good, wish there was more broccoli for some more greens. Nice spot to hit after visiting the farmers market at The Pearl :)

Ordered take out from this place in the late afternoon. But restaurant looked nice and clean when I walked in. Handful of patrons were dining in but def enough space for large groups. Greeted by hostess as soon as I stepped in. Food was ready to go by the time they said it would be and I was in and out in less than 2 min. My wife got the spicy miso ramen with shrimp. She had to water it down a little because it was too spicy for her but I thought it had a nice kick. It's not your traditional ramen. Had cabbage, broccoli and carrots but she said it was interesting and overall enjoyed it. Shrimp was cooked perfectly with good texture and flavor. I got the coconut curry rice with chicken. Chicken was dark meat which I preferred but a little overcooked. But overall the dish was flavorful and the coconut was not too overpowering. Would prob try some of their other dishes in the future.

After a few amazing Tex Mex and Bbq meals, we were ready for something different and Ming's fit the bill. Quiet around 6:30 Tuesday evening but quickly picked up after we were seated. Modern and inviting Decor with a mix of regular and high top tables and ample outdoor seating. Enticing menu and we realized at the end of our meal, we ordered too much. First time seeing a Sakerita so had to try. Their House Dry Sake with Rita mix was the perfect refresher on a very hot day. For starters it was a couple of Baos-Smoked Pork Belly and Chicken Bun with the House cured Pork Belly standing out. The Loaded Bulgogi Fries were indeed loaded and delicious. I'm a big fan of Duck anything-unfortunately the Century Egg wasn't to our liking-possibly the dressing? For entrees, it was Salad Bowl, Lemon Crispy Chicken and Bulgogi Rice Bowl. All were tasty-Crispy Chicken was our favorite. Service was attentive and engaged. It all started in 2011 with Ming's Steamed Buns at a Farmer's Market. They have a second location-La Cantera. Don't miss the Steamed Buns and Sakerita!

Sichuan cold noodles with Thai shrimp...delish and so refreshing! Love the spice!

We started eating here often because my spouse loves it. I have enjoyed some of the food I've had in the past but I stopped going because of a bad piece of pork belly in my bao bun. I decided to return because 1. It's close to my home 2. My spouse loves it and 3. I believe in second chances! I'm glad I did! I totally enjoyed my food. The service is friendly and the place is clean with plenty of seating. We will be back!

Saw their location near La Panaderia by Texas Fiesta area but it was still close, it's still early morning. We took note and planned to visit one day. Last Saturday after a walk around Woodlawn Lake Park, we ended up here. Finally!!! And I don't regret a single bit having our lunch here. Love my summer noodle bun and crispy money bag shrimp. We also ordered Thai curry rice noodle soup which is actually shareable since the serving on the huge bowl is more than enough for two persons. Also enjoyed the century egg which was unlike the authentic ones I tried in Chinatown in NYC, this one is way milder but more flavorful for me. It did not triggered me to throw up since it was really good, especially there's a tiny slice of ginger on each sliced portion of the century egg. Ending our enjoyable lunch with the coconut pandas rice pudding brûlée was a great decision. Not overly sweet, subtly flavored with pandan and just simply delish! I'm planning to be visiting again based on my very pleasant first visit. Definitely be visiting their Fiesta Texas vicinity location next time. Ming's is a great alternative to high-end and also fast-food style Chinese food. Service was excellent, the staff were friendly and warm and a young lady even took her time out to approach each tables apologizing for a slight delay on service...I actually waited a bit to see if she would have at least offer any free food, lol. Anyway, the quality of food and taste with great customer service justifies their pricing. Plus the place looks clean and well-kept, although I can't imagine what it's like during busy dining hours.

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. Shrimp Shumai and pork bao buns were so good. My kids asked for seconds We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, spicy eggplant/tofu, shrimp& broccoli and the combination fried rice. My daughter and I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was better 15 years ago…read more It is too westernize now; meaning the food is more cater/made for western taste. When you walk in up to the restaurant, the view of ponds with large koi fish was very welcoming, however as soon as you open the door/walk in...it's a chaos of sports on tv and western music that will burst your burst your tranquility from the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was busy since it was lunch. We were seated right away. However it took the waitress a few before knowledge our small table. The waitress was in a hurry and look like she already had a bad day. She asked quickly what we would like the drink and we said water and hot tea but ask what type of tea they have? She mumble something I could not understand. So my daughter ask for green tea. We started off with appetizer as usual. Shrimp toast, chicken wrap, Asian bbq ribs then a cup of hot & sour soup. Main dish were Moo Shu Pork and Mongolian beef. Soup came out first...it was lukewarm. Cup was hot but soup was lukewarm. It was vinegary and salty. This is the first time I had seen/tasted imitation crab meat in a hot and sour soup. I'd flag the waitress down to let her know the soup was cold and if she can bring me another or warm it up for me. She gave me an annoying look and took the soup back to the kitchen. The Asian bbq ribs come out then the shrimp toast a few minutes later. The shrimp toast looks appealing. The shrimp were whole shrimp on top of bread, fried bread. It was ok...no real taste and a bit greasy. There were too much honey and chewy/tough for the Asian ribs. My soup comes back hot to touch... which means it was microwave...but not an issues; what was is ...it was still lukewarm soup. I try to finish it but couldn't. Soup needs to be hot; especially hot & sour soup. The chicken lettuce wrap was delivered. It was again salty; no real taste, except for the salt. A lot of mushrooms over powering the this dish. Keep in mind we had a small table and dishes are pilling up. It took a few before anyone came to pickup the plates. Half way through our appetizer, the waitress dropped off Togo boxes with a bag right after the chicken wrap was dropped off.... Staying it's for later. So we went ahead and packup the appetizers into the Togo boxes to make room. The main dishes came out about 10 minutes later. My daughter was very surprised by her Mongolian beef. It looks more like pepper steak then Mongolian beef. Most Mongolian beef are cook with green onions, yellow onion, garlic, sesame seeds and large slices of beef...some with a little sauce other dry so this is a the first for us to see a Mongolian beef looks like that. It was again too salty. There was more bell pepper than beef. The beef was slice small. The moo shu pork come out already wrap?? Which confuse me. Most of the time the thin rice pancake is on the side and moo shu pork is a little sweet and savory that comes with plum sauce so you can spread as little or lot of plum sauce into the rice pancake then top it off with moo shu pork. Since it was all roll up...it was very messy trying to pull it open to put the plum sauce. The dish lack favors...it had a char like taste. Usually moo shu pork is very flavorful and fill with flavorful juice from the ingredients like cabbages, bamboo, onion, mushrooms and eggs. There was no favor except a char taste. I have eaten here before a long time ago and it's definitely not the same taste/food and experience. We pack the food home so we can get a second opinion from other family members and the results were the same. I would never recommend for anyone looking for Asian cuisine. But if you like America/Asian cuisine/atmosphere then this is a place for you.

However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.
