Service here was over the top wonderful. Only reason I didn't give 5 starts is bc some details were over looked. There were crumbs under the jelly/sugar containers. Like huge brown crumbs. And the honey was used. There should have been an unopened honey jar w the other condiments. Honestly It was gross. Ok moving on bc the rest is glowing!! Hostess was professional and friendly. Servers were prompt, courteous but a huge shout out to Maria at the omelet/waffle/pancake station!! While she was preparing my over medium eggs (which we're PERFECTLY cooked) we started causally talking. Long story short- it came up we were celebrating our anniversary and she had the cutest cupcake sent to our table! What a thoughtful gesture. THIS is what makes a memory. Thoughtful people. Thank you for making us feel special, Maria. Well done. Next time we stay here, I hope to see you.

Ate breakfast here one morning - the prototypical hotel breakfast buffet: I had: - Scrambled eggs: overcooked - Breakfast potatoes: undercooked and sitting in water that was dripping down from condensation inside the heating vessel - Sausage Gravy and Biscuits: the runniest sausage gravy I've ever eaten - and no chunks of sausage and very little in the way of flavor. - Bacon. Check! The bacon is the ONLY thing that nudges this review up to three stars. Barely. It was excellent bacon! So surprising to get such good bacon in a hotel breakfast buffet. Thick cut. Smoky. Meaty. Delish! Bacon - the staff of life. They offer other items on the breakfast buffet: pancakes, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereals, juices, and such. Plus a custom fresh made omelets to order. Service was average, and the breakfast buffet was expensive. Around $20 for breakfast.

Great place to have brunch when staying at the Marriott. Servers are warm and friendly. All you can eat brunch is the best! I had two pots of chamomile tea with honey, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and housemade custom omelette with mushrooms, spinach, tomato, bacon, cheese, etc. I helped myself to a big bowl of melon, grape, cantalope, and strawberry fruits. Super cute and delicious place!

The Cactus Flower Cafe in the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel, features casual American and Southwest cuisine. Enjoy your favorite beverage and light fare taking in the River views. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were there for dinner and got the fillet mignon and pecan crusted grouper. They do have very good quality meat and fish, which I'm sure is QA standard to have a restaurant within Marriott. The interesting thing was the fillet mignon was tender regardless of it being medium OR well done. A talent very hard to master. Seasoning for the fish was a bit salty but manageable.... just not for someone with high blood pressure, however its quite easy to request for no salt. Staff is extremely accommodating. You can park within Marriott and get validated when eating at the restaurant.

Good burger for lunch. Close to the convention center. It's a little expensive, but hey, it's the Marriott.

I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. I wish it was a fluffy whip cream to cut down from all the sweetness. Overall it's still a better tres leches than other places in the area.

It was probably our most favorite place that we ate while in San Antonio. The ambiance was great, beautifully decorated restaurant with great service. The cocktails were delicious so we had a few. The food was flavorful and unique. We had a wonderful dinner with my family at Carriqui.

Good service, great food, and pretty reasonable prices (especially for this neighborhood) are what always makes Tito's a good choice! Their tortilla chips always come out warm and be warned - the salsa has a little bit of a kick to it. For my meal I went with the chicken flautas. They came out 4 to the order with a side of rice and refried beans...neither of the sides were anything to write home about but the flautas were soooo good...Fried to crispy perfection and the chicken seasoned perfectly. If you're looking for a no-frills causal spot to enjoy some delicious Mexican food or a cold drink, don't skip Tito's!

The better half ordered soft tacos that came out looking like enchiladas. Rolled up, smothered in what I can only describe as a crushed tomato sauce. The sauce was flavorful. But they definitely weren't normal soft tacos. Rice was bland as hell, refrieds were ok. I had the mini al carbon tacos. Apparently they forgot to season the meat. Didn't even taste salt on them. The charro beans had good flavor but I had more tomato, onion, and jalapeño than beans. If this is their normal I question how they have stayed in business in a city with amazing Mexican food everywhere. Wouldn't go back except maybe for queso and some drinks(didn't have any so can't comment on that aspect. Hopefully better than the food we had.)

We had…read morewanted to try Iron Cactus earlier in our trip but were too tired that evening to make the walk from our hotel. Now that we happened to be nearby, this was our opportunity. It was a hot Sunday afternoon, so there was no debate about where we wanted to sit. We headed straight for the wonderfully air-conditioned dining room, which provided a welcome break after spending time in the sun during our river cruise. Gabby was our server, and she was fantastic. She was friendly and attentive, took our order right away, and delivered our drinks promptly. What impressed us most was how she kept our drinks refilled without us ever having to ask. Her service was outstanding and made an already enjoyable lunch even better. The food was just as impressive. Our Mexican entrées were delicious and exactly what we needed after a hot afternoon on the River Walk. Between the excellent food, Gabby's attentive service, and the comfortable, modern dining room, Iron Cactus turned out to be the perfect place to relax and recharge. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely return the next time we're in San Antonio. Next time, though, we'd like to come back for dinner and experience Iron Cactus in the evening.
