The avocado toast was my least favorite cause the toast was a little too toasted.. The lentil walnut taco was surprisingly good and they're a good size! I've also tried their goat cheese and bean tamale which was good and a little spicy. The more power to you bowl was more spinach heavy than I expected but nice. Came across this place on Yelp and it just so happened to be nearby when we're walking around. Store is cute, with a variety of different teas in the fridge. A couple of parties inside but it's not overly crowded. I got the ACA blue and it's delicious. Don't see that drink often, so opted to go for it and it did not disappoint. Staff weren't so friendly but idk, maybe that's common here. I've been to quite a few places already (restaurants wide) and so far, only 2 people had a great attitude. The people I was with ordered other food items that also took forever for it to come out too. 15 mins for a simple breakfast taco. At least 20-25 minutes for some oatmeal. Does it really take that long to prepare these? I feel like they're such simple snacky cafe items that it really shouldn't take longer than 10 min to prepare. I can't believe I've never reviewed this location of Revolución, because I've been a lot and often. I almost always come for a coffee on the go or to sit and enjoy a coffee in the shop when I visit my family in San Antonio, so I've been going for years! What do I love about it? So much. They have a broad menu: classic coffee and tea drinks, specialty drinks (Mayan Mocha, ACA Blue, Chagaccino, Turmeric Spice Latte), juices and fresh non-dairy milks, breakfast tacos, tamales, smoothies, toasts, and more... They're incredible vegan-friendly and have lots of healthy options. They also have a shop area where they sell some cool products (candles, lotions, blankets, etc. from brands they like to support). The coffeeshop is enormous - tons of seating (some outdoors, too, but the indoor space is expansive), and I've often found it a great place to work, study, read, etc. On top of it all, the customer service is very friendly! Wow! Revolucion Coffee sure knows how to serve some good (and healthy) breakfast. I recently visited their downtown location and was pleasantly surprised by their breakfast menu. For my first time I went with the avocado toast and my hubby ordered the breakfast burrito. The avocado toast was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, but the winner was definitely the breakfast burrito. The combination of all the ingredientes wrapped in a warm flour tortilla was heavenly! Also, don't miss out on all their fresh juices. We learned they make all of them at their Broadway location and then distribute them. We were also happy to learn that they offer juice cleanse packages for a day, three days, a week or more. I was in San Antonio attending a work conference. I made a point to start my mornings at local coffee shops, and Revolución was a quick walk from the Element San Antonio Riverwalk. Revolución serves responsibly curated coffee roasted in-house. Its scratch kitchen produces and features a scratch kitchen producing plant-based and locally sourced food (tacos, tamales, oats, toasts) and juices. Revolución has three locations in San Antonio and one in Austin. The downtown location is located at the corner of Navarro and E Houston and is transit-assessible via the 4 Bus. The cafe has a minimalist, modern design with limited indoor and sidewalk seating. I ordered a cortado, the Revolución Street Taco (blue corn tortilla with jackfruit with pibil sauce), Poblano Cheese Tamale, and Immunity Boost Shot (maple syrup, lemon juice, filtered water, cayenne, oregano). Customer service was great and my food and beverage were ready within a reasonable amount of time. The coffee was great, and the immunity boost shot hit the spot. It is the ONLY place that offers health conscious, vegan/vegetarian, and gluten free options but still does have meat options... so0o they're super flexible! Despite my efforts with multiple stevia, I knew I shant give up! Next day I had their delishly gigantic portion of PB açaí bowl (subbed with almond butter instead for extra charge) that was super gorgggg & fulfilling. I wished I had ordered it again for my last day today, but of course had to try something different & got the Office Brekkie Smoothie which is not too sweet (which is grrrreat!) but not something I'd get again... This coffee shop is located in downtown San Antonio walkable from several hotels. The interior is very minimalist. There is not a lot of decoration and most people seem to grab their stuff to go. However, I was there around 9:00 a.m. so I imagine that's a huge off time for a coffee spot. The service is quick. I got an iced latte with lavender honey and it was delicious, the coffee itself was very well balanced. I also got a breakfast taco with turkey chorizo and egg, which came in a green tortilla so that was a nice touch And the salsa is available at the to go bar. They also have fresh pressed juices and wellness shots available that they make in-house. Great little spot to get some quick go-to food and drinks no matter what you prefer, coffee or juices. This review is just for drinks since we didn't get anything to eat! We came into Revolucion, because online I saw they had a turmeric latte. I was also interested in the red velvet latte. We came in, looked at the menu, talked about how good the turmeric latte was in front of the gentleman taking orders, and when I looked up and ordered the latte, he informed me then that they were out of turmeric. I pointed to the red velvet latte, and he then said he was out of that one too. Being out of stock of ingredients happens, but it would have been very helpful to have known both lattes I had expressed interest in were sold out vs. when we went to order + now there were people behind us, and I didn't want them to wait. I got the Chagaccino, and it was OK. I had another one in Austin that had a rich coffee flavor, almost woodsy. This one was OK, but it tasted bland. Hubby got the chai tea latte, and it was fine, but I love how spice-forward chai normally is. I love tasting the spices in the tea; it is a comfort drink in the AM. I just didn't get that with his chai. Their homemade almond milk is 100% worth the additional cost; it was very good! The gentleman serving us didn't make any suggestions, describe any of the drinks, provide any assistance other than taking our orders. For a small, personal coffee shop, I craved a little more of that specialty shop feel. I love all the options they have for pressed juice, açaí bowls, light food and salads, and the restaurant had enough seating for a small weekend.
