Reglar sides plus large bbq sauce

Placed an order by phone and I didn't get a detailed receipt so I cannot say how much I paid for each item (total cost $90) but I got 1lb of brisket, 1/2lb of Turkey, 1 sausage link and a whole chicken. Also ordered regular sides (which is one serving) of creamed corn, green beans, potato salad and macaroni. We did have to oh at the time of the order but it was ready for pick up in 10 mins. Overall the quantity of food was great. We were 4 adults and all ate until we were full and even had leftovers for lunch the next day. Our favorite was the brisket but everything was delicious.

    Nasty Mac and cheese

Ordered a baked potato and it came out COLD. Sent it back and they said it was cold because of the "cold butter and sour cream" they put on it. The Mac and cheese is usually very good but as you can see it looks like some shitty soup. I don't know if they changed ownership or what but this place has gone DOWN HILL.

Smoked turkey meat, juicy, and glistening

My family visited Dee Willie's BBQ on Zarzamora and the meal was so-so. The cream corn was made with too much flour as a thickner, but spoke with the owner, offered a suggestion and he repaired the cream corn. The mac & cheese was to dry, the owner repaired the mac & cheese. And ooooh the brisket! I asked for marble brisket and the brisket I received was not marble, was dry, was not tender and no taste. I spoke with the owner and he took my plate back, went to the kitchen, returned with THE REAL JUICY BRISKET & explained that there is two brisket cuts (which I did not know). The ribs my daughter ordered, did not look like the advertised Baby Back Ribs. The ribs were, I guess pork, flat, no taste and just not right. But, the owner gave me a sample of the smoked turkey meat and THAT was the icing on the cake! The smoked turkey meat was glistening with juice, tasted superb, and had an amazing flavor. Overall, the owner repaired what needed to be corrected, was very empathetic and polite. I would not return, but of course other people's palette is different from my palette. The peach cobbler and the blackberry cobbler were tastefull. Thanks goes to the owner for repairing the items that needed repairing, his empathy and his understanding.

Great little spot on the south side. Apparently they have another spot somewhere. Price was reasonable. Brisket was eh. Turkey and sausage was really good. Cream corn and green beans were awesome. The bbq is really tasty. Definitely with a coat for the price. Wouldn't mind going back to try the Dino rib. Staff there were very nice and super fast. Would recommend.

I didn't write a review on our first attempt at the all you can eat since the meat tasted old and dry and thought maybe they were having an off day. We tried it for a second time and the results were the same the service was excellent but the meat is dry most pieces are just not edible. The cream corn and Arnold Palmer were on point.

My phone did not eat first lol. It was so good I could not wait. The 1/2 1/2 lb. Brisket Sandwich

If you loveee lean meat like I do you will love Dee Willie's! I am superrr picky and do not like fatty meat, and Dee Willie's lean brisket is chefs kiss for me! 9/10 times it's going to hit! The service and people are always so nice and the food always comes out quick! Also their buns are Hawaiian bread and always toasted! I wish they had another location closer to my house lol.

We ordered all you can eat brisket baby back ribs and beans, baked potatoes salad and green beans. The meats had good flavor but somewhat dry. The beans ok. The baked potatoes salad good green beans also good and the sauce good too. Very attentive service pleasant waitress. Very quiet atmosphere some country music not loud.

It's good, the service was great & ambiance is chill.. the food was ok... cream corn was a 6 out of 10. I probably won't come back. I must say the grape koolaid was on point.

In the south side of San Antonio and you walk into a country atmosphere with a smoked bbq fragrance. There were lots of cars in the parking lot but we were seated fast and our server Danielle quickly attended to us. We ordered a loaded baked potato with chopped brisket and baby back ribs. Then for dessert we got a pecan cobbler and a peach cobbler. The baked potato was soft and full of all the fixings and topped with a heaping serving of chopped brisket. The baby back ribs were tender and fell off the bones. The warm cobblers hit the spot after all that yummy food.

The vibe was really off here at this restaurant. The server told us we couldnt share the 27.99 all you can eat special when we're literally paying for it. Also got told we can't take our leftovers home. We paid for our food we should be allowed to take it with us. Brisket wasnt my favorite choice. It was tough and difficult to chew. The brisket wasn't soft like I was expecting. The cream corn was good. Mac and cheese was decent didn't really have a wow factor that made the flavor pop. The pulled pork was great. Probably the food I mostly liked. I was a big fan of the barbecue sauce because it wasn't really smoky it was more sweet, my boyfriend wasn't a fan of it for that reason. Overall the place was decent. Probably wouldn't go back there just because theres better barbecue options.

Salad the way God intended to be served!!!

We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday and got in queue which was out the door and wrapping around the front porch. Their host/doorman was kind, he offered the line water on many occasions and made pleasantries with almost all guests as the line moved. It was a hot day so those waters were clutch. By the time we made it to the front of order line maybe 40 minutes had passed. But ladies and gents the wait is worth it. When we plated our trays on the table my family all had heart eyes, and had equally loved our first bites. Their brisket is extremely tender. It's beautifully sliced and made for an amazing welcome back to the South taste for me. I was in heaven. I particularly enjoyed having the fresh pickled red onion for fresh, zesty cuts through the abundance of other saltier elements on the plate. Their menu is slammin! Their sides, and sausages all had crafty ingredients. I enjoyed their spicy link options and their macaroni was delightful. Their BBQ sauce was a nice 4/5 but certainly did the job. As a native Texan who's had their fair share, this was easily some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Top 5 top 5 top 5. I'm of course coming back and looking forward for more banana cream pudding especially. They were small, slightly sweet, and had great balance with the vanilla wafer ratio. That whip cream on top too had me hooked. I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back meal for the bold Texas cuisine, hospitality, and novelty animal and cowboy decor.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between laid-back Texas charm and a lively River Walk experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. I ordered the three-meat plate with the sausage, second-cut brisket, and smoked turkey, and every bite was outstanding. The brisket was tender and packed with smoky flavor, the sausage had the perfect snap and seasoning, and the smoked turkey was surprisingly juicy and flavorful. The baked beans and mac & cheese were fantastic sides that complemented the barbecue perfectly. Favorite item was the Alamo huevos rancheros. This was a rare treat to enjoy a dish with brisket, cheese, and salsa without some kind of heartburn afterwards. Texas waffle: was one of the best waffles either of us has had in a long time Blueberry pancakes: very good. I really enjoyed the stewed blueberry Chilaquiles: this we felt was the only miss. Didn't like that it was prepared with tortilla chips instead of fried tortillas Steak and eggs: ask for extra chimichurri sauce and maybe add some extra salt. 3 Stars -- Good for the Zoo Crowd, Not for True Texas BBQ Fans…read moreLet me start by saying my three stars are strictly for the food -- not the location, not the vibe. Augie's is a solid convenience spot if you're spending the day at the Zoo or Brackenridge Park. Think of it as the Texas BBQ equivalent of good food inside Disneyland: it's not great, but for where you are, it'll do the job. As for the BBQ itself... nothing really stands out. The brisket was bland and barely warm, and most of the sides were cold. The place wasn't even busy -- just my table of five and another small group -- so that didn't help justify the temperature or quality issues. The jalapeño cheese sausage was the one bright spot, packing a decent kick and some real flavor. Portions and utensils felt a little stingy -- you'll probably snap a fork trying to dig into anything, and if you ask for extra sauce, expect a tiny salsa-sized cup. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the setting is great. You get nice views of the driving range and can catch the Brackenridge Park train rolling by, which gives the place a relaxed, local feel. Final Take: Would I recommend this place as a true Texas BBQ destination? Absolutely not -- you'll find better brisket at Buc-ee's or Rudy's. But if you're already at the park or zoo and need something quick and convenient, it's a fine spot to grab a bite and keep your day moving
