I freaking love this place! Delicious bread with quality ingredients and amazing sauces. The Thai fighter is my go to sandwich and the best anywhere!!!

Pretty chill vibes & super welcoming staff. The bread on that Chupacabra sandwich was so fresh, it hit the spot..I still felt hungry after just 1 sandwich but that's just me lol I will definitely be back to try their other options.

Best sandwich I've had all year! Soft, fresh bread baked in-house, delicious cuts of meat and cheese, and tasty spread. Prices were respectable, and service was friendly and efficient. I'll be back many times.

Everything is excellent, the sandwiches, soups and deserts are al fresh and delicious. I like that i can order pickup over Local Toast and its ready in 10 minutes, enough time to drive there and have it waiting for me.. The bread is soft and tasty and that separates them from the pretenders.

    They DO NOT have pastrami.

Well I called and asked if they had pastrami sandwiches. So I drive from the other side of town just to get there and they didn't have real pastrami they had something called turkey pastrami? Ridiculous that a sandwiche shop doesn't know the difference. Especially when I made sure to call ahead. I hate leaving bad reviews but. It seems to be a good sandwich spot, it was full when I showed up. Again Ive been let down by a restaurant and thise so called foodie tik tok reviews. They dont serve real Pastrami what a let down. You know how has real pastrami? Yea the big chain restaurants . I try to support our local spots but when the sandwiche spot doesn't know the difference in studd is very disappointing. Well big chain Firehouse subs restaurant for the win again. Oh justvlike Turkey bacon isn't bacon...Turkey pastrami isn't real pastrami its Just TURKEY!

I had the pleasure of eating here today with one of my elementary school retiree groups. A member of the group suggested it when we made our list of venues for 2024. She told us they had the best sandwiches and guaranteed we would love it. Riding down with one of my friends, I worried about parking. She can't walk far, and I didn't want a long hike after dropping her off out front. I shouldn't have worried. The minute we turned on the street (King William), I saw a space on the street right across from the entrance that I could drive right into and fake parallel parking by simply backing up closer to the next vehicle. When I opened the door for my friend, I saw what looked like a huge room with a large table in the middle for our group. The menu was up on very nicely backlit signs that made reading it super easy. We sat down with the folks who got there before us and waited a few minutes for the rest of our group. Then, some of us went up to order just as a little rush started. I noticed that you could order and pay at the table by scanning the QR code on the little placards. It didn't matter how we ordered, the food came out to us super fast! I think I figured out how they can do it so quickly. They have a fantastic selection of sandwiches. Most of them have either turkey or roast beef. They start with their absolutely wonderful store-baked bread, put a mountain of either turkey or roast beef on it, add some cheese and a few veggies, then slather it with a sauce. It is the different sauces that create the different sandwiches. For example, I had the Thai Fighter. It had a deliciously spicy red curry sauce on it. Let me tell you that they have perfected that sauce. I really liked everything about the sandwich, and can't wait to go back and try some others. I also had the soup of the day, which is creamy poblano on Tuesdays. It was really satisfying. I loved that it was not salted heavily, allowing the full flavor of the peppers to come through. For dessert, I chose a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake. It wasn't on the menu, and my friend that goes there weekly says they frequently have a special cheesecake like that. This was pumpkin flavored on the top and traditional on the bottom. As usual, I only had one delicious bite. It was really hard for me to pass it on for others to try. I really wanted to eat more. After it went around the table, someone set it right back in front of me. I shoved it way across the table and watched as one of my friends took another bite every few minutes. It was so good she couldn't help herself until it was all gone. I need to mention the hibiscus mint tea. I couldn't taste any hibiscuses in it (what are they? flowers?), but the subtle bloom of mint with each sip was dazzling enough for me. I went back for a second glass, which is very unusual for me. I forgot to take pictures while I was there, so I am adding the picture of our group.

    Garlic roast beef

The garlic roast beef sandwich was really good. It wasn't dry at all and so garlicky which I loved. I took it togo and it was still so good after I got home. The store had lots of seating and seemed clean. The service was really fast and the workers were nice. I'm just sad they are open limited hours.

    Apr 2024 chef salad

17 Apr 2024 I arrived early for my King William volunteer gig, so I thought I'd grab some lunch. I had about an hour before my shift. Arriving at noon I thought I would have to wait. Not so. I was second in line. By 12:30pm however, the line was almost out the door. Anyway, I ordered the chef salad and a small drink. Interesting presentation. The salad is in a plastic container with lid, think the containers HEB packages their single slices of cake in. It, a plastic knife and fork, some napkins and the cup of dressing was placed in a red paper-lined plastic basket. So I dumped the salad onto the paper in the basket, added the dressing and proceeded to eat. I guess that's what you're supposed to do. It was good. I'll probably go back if I'm in the area. Prices are very reasonable. Along with salads, soups, sandwiches and baked good are also available.

I haven't seen the place, but my coworker brought me the pesto sandwich from here and oh my it is very good. If you're a sandwich person you need to try this place. It is also fairly priced!

The station club sandwich is to die for! The bread is homemade and nice and toasty. It is big enough to fill you for a while for sure. The service is great and ambiance it's up to standard with the norm in SA.

An awesome cheap eat! The roast beef sandwich was highly recommended, so I'm glad I was able to swing by to try it! I got takeout but service was friendly and speedy!

I don't even know where to start, everything was 10/10. At first I seen the price of the Bacon egg and cheese sandwich and I was a little scared but I was hungry so I got it. Completely worth it! That bread is so fresh the whole sandwich was just perfection. My matcha... again I was planning to try different things this trip but the Miss Honey matcha just did it for me. And I loved the honeycomb in there it was a yummy treat. The staff were nice, friendly and honestly I loved their styles haha. I love the whole concept and vibe of this place, the menus are super cute too and I love all the natural light that comes in from the big windows. They even had a thrift room! I'd be a regular here if I lived in San Antonio!!

We visited this location for lunch on a Friday…read more food: I ordered the pickle country club and my hubby ordered the tribune.. both sandwiches were served warm mine was wrapped in butcher paper and cut in half, the tribune was served whole. The only complaint with the tribune was the wetness of the sandwich.. within a few minutes it was soggy. Other than that the flavor was good and nice presentation. Sandwiches do not come with anything I think for the price point chips should have been served with them. Drinks: huge menu of alcoholic and no alcoholic drinks (actually more drinks that food options) we ordered a flight of sweet wines and a glass of a red blend. Both were priced comparable to downtown establishments however the flight portions were small in my opinion. Location: downtown San Antonio across from the pearl on Broadway. A few free parking spots across the street and a parking a Garage attached to the bldg. overflow seating outside of inside gets packed. Typical coffee shop with people working on laptops. Staff seemed to be super busy had to ask for tables to be cleaned prior to eating and for water glasses. (Water is self serve)

I passed this on the way to my assignment location and began researching this spot. Some google…read morereviews mentioned they are F1 fans and Ferrari people. So I knew I had to check them out. I was able to make my way here on my last day in San Antonio in late March thanks to my flight being delayed and my oh my, I am quite impressed! The older gentleman taking my order at the counter gave me a big smile when I mentioned I heard you have this thing called the serious sandwich here. He told me that they do and then stated "You won't regret ordering it, seriously." Chuckling, I decided on a half order of that along with a side of potato salad and their side of beans. After taking my first bite, I realized the gentleman was right. This is a dope sandwich! Excellent cured meats in the salamar and pair of hams along with the provolone and melted cheddar with the veggies, spices, italian dressing, and mustard. The bread they use holds up well and has a slight crunch to it. If you prefer your bread to have softness to it, you may have to ask if they can substitute a different bread instead of the italian flat bread they use. But I absolutely love this sandwich the way it is! As for the sides, the potato salad has a slight mustard taste and right consistency with a dash of paprika on top; just the way I like it. The beans are charro beans (I think) that are served steaming hot with some pork trimmings mixed in; I may have dipped my sandwich in it a couple times for flavor explosion. What can I say, I'm adventurous! There's some ferrari memorabilia and posters on the right side where some of the high top seating is. As a Ferrari F1 fan, I appreciate them displaying this here along with the track map of the COTA circuit in Austin. The seating area is spread out nicely with plenty of seats/tables and a drink station with some random signs up. All of interest to consumers like us. Definitely recommend coming here for either the serious sandwich or other delicious ones like their meatball sandwich or manhattan. I can't wait to come back and try the other ones but I may just stick with the serious sandwich cause I loved it. SERIOUSLY!

So, when co-workers wanted to go yesterday, I jumped on it. Don't get me wrong. I love the vibe of this place. I LOVE their story. It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.
