The food was absolutely delicious and my waiter was a dedicated professional. I am disappointed in the receptionist . She did not offer the greeting of the day and it appeared my presence was interrupting her day. She basically just said follow me. Took me to a table then returned to receptionist stand. Upon returning to receptionist stand, it appeared she was texting on a cell phone. Definitely not the performance you want at the front to greet customers.

My mom and I had a great brunch at Box St All Day with her ordering the smoked Gouda pasta salad with salmon and me ordering the Steak with frites. Both meals were great, however my steak was a bit too rare when I ordered medium-rare and the eggs had the whites a bit undercooked as well. The mimosa I ordered was stronger than I expected but it still tasted nice. The highlight of the meal was the Berry Me Softly cocktail which the bartender recommended to me! Delicious and not too tart.

We were greeted by the manager with open arms who could not have been more welcoming . ( I felt as if my departed mom was pulling us in to her kitchen to sit and eat her food with every visit). We felt the appreciation of you choosing to dine there. The smell of cleanliness when you walk in made it all the more comfortable being there . We were there at about 11:00am and couldn't decide on lunch or brunch . Brunch looked too good to pass up , so we placed our order( you order at the register before sitting down) . I opted for the avocado toast on wheat with an over medium egg . They seasoned it with a seasoning which included Parmesan cheese . I might add it was paired together perfectly. My husband ordered the French toast which did not disappoint in flavor ( of course I had to try his) . It was so good . It almost tasted as if it had an all spice flavor to it . It was so good and reminded me of fall season which was nice to think of considering this July heat and humidity we've been getting. My 8 year old settled for the buttermilk pancakes which were also nice and filling for him . I had reservations as I recently made him buttermilk pancakes which he didn't like.So the fact that he cleaned his plate of buttermilk pancakes at Labor Cafe speaks volumes lol. I did notice when we were ordering, some sub sandwiches and other delightful food in the glass case for you to pick from . I noticed quite a few to go orders being picked up during our visit, also speaks volumes for this tiny cafe . The coffee is self serve , as an avid coffee drinker this cafe had me at hello when I saw that . So on a scale of 0-10 chefs kisses , I give it a solid x10 ! Compliments to the chef and staff for being so kind and serving up what I call delicious food in this dining establishment.

There wasn't any wait for a table, although there was a pretty consistent flow of people coming and going, so I can definitely see there being a wait at busier times. We ordered coffee, sweet tea, Biscuits & Gravy, and the Eggs Benny. The coffee is self-serve and good stuff. The sweet tea is also self-serve and really good. Now, what you're really here for... the food. SO GOOD. My Biscuits & Gravy was delicious! The gravy itself has a nice kick to it--despicy--but it also has a ton of flavor. The biscuit, though... that was the shining star. It was so delicious, light, and fluffy. I loved it! My husband really enjoyed his meal as well. We both cleaned our plates, which says a lot! We will definitely be back!

The Brunch Spot had been on my bookmarked breakfast places to try. As luck would have it, we were in the area, and just happened to be hungry. It was a Monday morning, around 10ish, and this place was poppin'! Lol, like do people not have jobs?! But I digress...back to the review. We were greeted by Jocelyn, who also ended up being our server as well. She was AMAZING! We perused the menu and everything sounded delicious. I decided on the Waffle Plate, because a Belgian waffle sounded really good. My better half ordered the French Toast Plate. The food came out pretty quick. However, my order was missing the waffle, which I mentioned. Apparently, there was a misunderstanding in what I ordered. Jocelyn took care of it immediately, and apologized and assured me that she would bring out the waffle at no charge. That's great customer service! It ended up being a happy accident though, because I loved what I received. I guess it was a sausage platter, which had my favorite type of link sausage. So, it's definitely going to be my go-to order every time! We are definitely coming back, on a regular basis. The French Toast Plate was also very good. As was the Kool-Aid, and the Caramel Iced Coffee. If there is ever Kool-Aid on a menu, I'm always going to order it! And this Kool-Aid did not miss. It was diabebes sweet, just the way I like it! Overall, it's a really cool place, and my favorite breakfast/brunch spot now. It's nice and tidy inside, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Lol, my only gripe was the parking. But, I would gladly park somewhere else and walk here, because it's definitely worth it.

Eric was our waiter and he was absolutely wonderful; informative, helpful, fun, friendly, and handsome to boot. He assisted in our cocktail decisions and holy damn sh!t y'all... that award-winning Verse of Blossoms more than deserved its trophy. It's a whole experience and I only had a little taste. My drink order was the Bliss in a Kiss and I could easily drink one of those each and every morning. Toasted coconut flakes with my bubbly? GENIUS. Decadent, delicious genius. Onto the food... I'm so glad I went with the Benny (thank you again Eric). I brought half home and it was just as good the next morning. I'm sure everything is a spectacular meal here, but my advice is to get something you certainly will not find anywhere else, and the Benedict is one of those meals. Outstanding. Simply outstanding. What a flawlessly matched execution of flavour medleys! The only shred of upset I felt was at the fact that I live 3 hours away from this place and can't become a regular. This is an ultimate in treat-yoself dining! 10/5.
