We were excited to visit after hearing about the opening coinciding with our visit to Boston. The main thing we felt was that it was really hot in the store. Granted it was a hot day outside but it made for a tepid experience where we did not want to browse the interesting items. It looked like they were still stocking many of the shelves and one of the items we purchased was a soft shell candy that was obviously past shelf life as it was rock hard and we needed to toss it. I am sure things will get better as it is clean and large and has a huge selection. Can just be that it is newly opened.

What a great addition to the Downtown Scene! Normally we'd have to go to Teso in NY, but now we have our own lovely location here in Boston. The pricing is a bit expensive on some beauty items, but if you look closely you can find better deals on other items like their blind boxes (ex: $12 a smiski is more fair compared to other places that charge $15). There are three floors stocked full of unique products so there is much to see. Definitely a fun place to wander and treat yourself!

Teso Life has officially arrived in Boston. Seriously, what a treat! They have three floors: the main floor has snacks, beverages, ice creams, and more, the top floor is where you can find makeup, skincare, shampoo/body wash, detergents, and more self care goodies, and on the bottom/basement floor is where you can find all the blind boxes and toys! Everything is very well organized and easy to find. I definitely did some damage in the makeup sections LOL. We do have some stores in Boston that have Asian makeup, snacks, and goods but their selection is very minimal & typically overpriced. Something I noticed while shopping here today is, the prices weren't outrageous & were actually quite reasonable! For example: I love getting Sony Angel blind boxes & spend anywhere from $17-20/box. Here, I was able to find them for $12-13.50/box. Much more fair. Snacks: most of the snacks we bought were anywhere from $1.50-$4.00ish. This is comparable to the snack prices at even American grocery stores. Makeup: Great prices, ~$10-20 depending on the product. Skincare products are a bit more expensive but still cheaper than other stores around. Similar to YesStyle prices. Since we visited opening day, I was scared the lines were going to be crazy. There was definitely a wait to get inside & a wait to check out, but I didn't find it to be too bad. Not sure how long they are doing the giveaways, but every purchase currently grants you a free Monkey fan! If you spend more than $50, you get a Monkey fan & a snack bag & if you spend more than $100, you get all of the above plus a surprise gift. We spent about $250 and got the gifts but I don't think any of the gifts were worth it. I just got some Pocky Sticks, a monkey keychain, a silicone lip product applicator, & a fan. It was a bit lackluster but can't expect too much since they're freebies. Overall, I'm super stoked that we now have a Teso Life! I look forward to visiting regularly once the lines die down a bit.

A good selection of products from Japan and china. I only looked at the food and drinks. Will have to update my review later.

This vintage market is a total treasure trove!…read more There is no better cure for the Sunday scaries then perusing trinkets with your besties in the South End. This market was stacked with jewelry, prints, clothing, cameras, vinyls, and so much more. The layout is a little overwhelming and hard to navigate with large influxes of shoppers, however, it does force you to stay put a bit and do a bit more digging in sections. The staff was super friendly, especially the gentlemen who checked me out. I ended up going with this $10 Charlie Brown coloring book page from the 60s which is a great deal!

My friend is an avid thrifter and she immediately knew this store was legit. A lot of stores claim to be thrifty and vintage but sell mass produced clothing brands. This one had very unique pieces, the items were priced fairly, and among the chaos, there was some order to where things were placed. Some of the sections belong to different people so definitely make your way around the entire store. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. I could spend hours here, but we had other things on our agenda so we window shopped for a bit, but will eventually be back to purchase some items.

You might be saying, "What is this guy doing reviewing a dress shop?"…read more Well, you obviously don't realize how good I look in these dresses. Also, I'm not writing this review for you, so pipe down. And I'm only kind of writing this review for my wife, who ACTUALLY looks good in these dresses. I'm writing this review for me. Selfish as it may seem, I don't care if this shop has the sweetest staff that always helps their customers find whatever it is they are looking for, and makes smart suggestions about other items that might be of interest. I do care a little bit that for some reason, they always happen to stock at least a couple dresses that make my wife look absolutely stunning.* But I really, truly care about not having to wander up and down Newbury Street in the rain, searching for this boutique that we come back to every time we're in Boston. Now that I've written this review, I will remember this dress shop, and we can just come straight here and avoid wandering into other, inferior boutiques. Also, there's a stool in the corner where I can write this review as my wife shops. I like sitting down. _____________ *That should probably be reversed. My wife makes those dresses look good.
