I like this dollar store! Such a great place to shop especially for birthday party stuff or holiday decor or other occasions! And everything is actually just over a dollar (1.25). The sunglasses were 1.50. And the helium balloons range between 2 to 5 dollars which is ok and fair. Very convenient location too. Sometimes you can get lucky and find parking right on the street. But otherwise if you're also going to shop at Star market then there's a parking lot behind there which is very convenient and we only discovered that parking lot recently. We bought some birthday stuff - happy birthday banner, party hat, gift bag, photo albums, guitar car freshener and my favorite - helium balloon!! For the balloon, at checkout you just ask the person at the checkout to fill the balloon and they'll just fill it right there. Easy! Also picked up some cards - I like to always have a stock of cards for different occasions and some blank ones too. In the past I even got a couple of very pretty ceramic bowls from the kitchenware aisle. The store is quite bright too and large so it's easy to walk around. Overall really good store! Great value!! This used to be a very, very run-down store. They have hardworking staff when it comes to stocking the shelves and making the store more presentable. It comes very handy when you're in a financial pinch. Batteries, dryer sheets, paper towels, stationary, cards, candles, lighters, and more. It's no longer a "Dollar Tree" based in prices, but the increase in costs have made it a better store. They just need to fill more product in, keep it clean and organize, and definitely hire more employees. read more

This is a terrible Dollar Tree. It is a small store, and the shelves are poorly stocked. Many aisles appear half empty (similar to the appearance during the Covid pandemic). Do not count on finding what you want. It is dirty. The staff might be working hard, but the check out lines are slow. I only go if I have a very specific need....but even then I am frequently disappointed by empty shelves. (Aside: This store is much different that those I have visited in other geographic locations where they have generally been good.) read more

As another Yelper said, it *does* seem crazy to review a Dollar Tree store, but here I am, and I cannot lie: I love roaming around Dollar Tree stores. Where else can you find Hallmark cards for 50 cents??? A yard sale, perhaps... but they are all here for whatever occasion you need (including the current holiday), unlike the yard sale which may only have a few cards from the 1970's with kittens and flowers on them. Judge it by what it is, this isn't a trip into Nordstrom where everything will be immaculate and you will be welcomed with a red carpet. However, the girl working at the register this morning was nice (and she was also stocking, so she had a lot going on) and they have Red Bird puffed candy for a fraction of the cost at Michael's. I really don't like peppermint candies, but these are amazing. read more

This store is a pig pen. It's dirty and disorganized. Filthy mops are leaning against the cash registers. The shelves are mostly empty and what little stock there is is thrown around with boxes open. I couldn't find half the items I came for. In addition, as I stood waiting to check out, one of the cashiers walked by with a cash drawer and banged me on the elbow. The manager saw this and didn't offer an apology, just said, "It was an accident." I knew it was an accident and hadn't said otherwise, but it was completely unnecessary. Back in the day, I used to go to a little place called the 99cent store. I'm pretty sure they even had fresh fruit like oranges and bananas, so I can't give this place 5 stars since the 99 cent store is clearly superior and costs one cent less. I remember they even had box wine somehow. This place is a treasure trove! Especially if you have a good sense of humor. The knock off brands are on full display. Who wants to pay full price for a pack of pop tarts when you can get Toast'ems for a buck!? I think the best part is the canned food section that has stickers that say things like "guaranteed fresh!" Who are they kidding? All jokes aside, the toothpaste is all legit and I'd probably come here to buy dollar toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo. Snacks are reasonable as well. The toy section is 100% jokes though. There's one game called road trip bingo and one of the things you can check off is a biohazard sign. Is this toy for Russians planning to go to Chernobyl? If you need it...they might have it. This highly-trafficked location is obviously a great deal, but many times out of stock. With only a cashier or 2 working at a time, sometimes lines can get long. I'd try to go to a less popular location! read more

It may seem crazy to review a Dollar Tree but holy cow is this place incredible! I'm an avid fan and frequent shopper at Dollar Tree, so imagine my delight and surprise when I saw one opening up on the BU campus. First of all, this place is HUGE. Biggest one I've ever seen. The aisles are extensive and they have everything you could possible want. Particularly, they have a lot of household items, pet supplies, kitchen gadgets, and anything you could ever want or need as a snack for only $1. Plus this one has a freezer section which is my my guilty pleasure. So far it's clean and organized, but I'm sure that will change. For now, it gets five stars and will be seeing me weekly as long as they are there. read more

This is a brand new Dollar Tree, located right off of Boston University's campus. It's a great location with a huge selection (the biggest I've ever seen at a Dollar Tree). Since it only recently opened, the organization/layout is impeccably clean. I hope it stays that way. I'll definitely be stopping by this location on my way home from work. read more

I absolutely love this Dollar Tree location! I will inconvenience myself to travel to the opposite side of the city to specifically shop here because not only is it immensely clean and organized (which makes for a stellar shopping ) with a great selection but in addition the staff is super nice and helpful. I even had the pleasure of speaking with Roxanne who was happy to help me which was makes my efforts to shop here again all the while better. Glad this place exists! Great selection of things. Clean. Decently stocked. They have everything from thank you cards to snacks to toys. I wouldn't get the gift bags though. They look like they'd rip before you'd get them home. It's busy but the lines are efficient. read more

New location but is horribly managed. Half the shelves are empty and the place usually looks in utter disarray. Roller coaster type of lines as they are always severely understaffed. Half the time I go there to get a few thing I leave empty handed as they are rarely stocked. By leaps and bounds the worst dollar tree I have ever been to. read more

Although it's not the cleanest Dollar Tree it does have literally the best finds ... I found so many great deals and might I add this place is HUGE!! The staff was friendly, it was a bit messy but staff was working and cleaning ... Parking is on a busy street with meters ... I came at night so parking was easy but I'm sure it can be difficult during the day !! read more

So i was out in the area the other day and tried to go to this location becuase it was a bit larger one and they legit closed up and went home at 4:30. I watched about 30 people in a matter of less than 10 mins try to come into the store. We all waited for a few mins and more people came by. THen some nice woman standed a little ways down told us that the employees just all decided to go home. It was 4:30 on a Wednesday lol on a very busy street and the store didn't close until 8pm. No matter what day of the week or what time of day, this store is in disarray and many of its shelves are empty. The Everett St. store is much better stocked. Be careful! The $1 price is not necessarily a bargain if the Dollar Tree package is smaller than the same item sold in other retail stores. read more
