You can find some really good deals on food, electronics, gift cards, eyeglasses, clothes, home decor, WINE, etc etc. All included in the price of your yearly membership! Plus if you're lucky they sometimes have food samples. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can grab a $1.50 hotdog and soda combo before you leave, or maybe a greasy slice of cheesy yummy pizza! I got a whole pie once and never again, the slices taste better. It's better for your wallet to get the whole pie but it wasn't fresh, when usually it's the opposite, slices are usually dry and pies are more fresh.....new conspiracy theory... This location gets busy but it's in a plaza with other retail stores so it's easy to navigate, plus parking is usually okay. There are lines sometimes but if you're there on a weeknight it's not bad. It is usually organized too so the chaos isn't that bad. I love costco. read more

Always happy to come here, the variety is always good and the quality of the meat and seafood always seem topnotch. I can also see the staff trying their best to manage and optimize the crazy checkout lines, not a issue solution to resolve. I would say that this is a good / classic representation of a costco. I haven't tried the sashimi because it seems kinda expensive, but good! I did try their premade sushi meals and was disappointed by them. My rating is for the ice cream. When it's a really hot day, sometimes all you want to do is sit, scroll, and have some ice cream with fudge sauce. I don't know what they do to that ice cream, but it rivals a $12 sundae from other places. And while they say hotdogs will take some time off your life, towards the end I don't think you're going to regret a $1.50 Costco hotdog. Also, I love the new scanning while in line. It has been YEARS since I last visited this Costco! We were in the area so we figured why not grab a few things. WOW, this Costco is well stocked with goodies!!! LOL I wanted everything hahaha... they had lots of stuff I typically would reach for like Dyson + Shark airwraps, cosmetics + Korean skincare, & produce! They had Beauty of Joseon, Mediheal, VT Cica Reedle Shot 100 Essence, and more. I already have the airwraps BUT if you're reading this review, SO WORTH IT! With some hair mousse, your hair will for sure stay for until your next wash day! Anyways, OMG they had a bunch of stuff that we've been on the search for that all the other Costco's closer by to us didn't have (4 other locations). Highly recommend the Korean Sweet & Sour Puffs BTW. They're so delicious and addicting! I also love getting the baby guavas, dragonfruit & pomegranate! Now, parking is a little chaotic here... no one ever seems to be looking lol, kind of just aimlessly driving. Same in store... almost got bumped into by a cart 5 times in the 20 min we spent here. This is a large warehouse that is always filled with droves of people. The whole entire family needs to come together to shop at Costco like its an excursion on vacation. Outside of having to navigate heaping crowds who have zero spatial awareness or concern for clogging up an entire Costco-sized aisle, this is a great place to shop. It's well organized with extra wide aisles and the staff are great about keeping things stocked well and boxes cleared. I would advise if you think you might need a box to grab one wherever you see one, because they aren't well stocked at the registers. The deli is great about cranking food out freshly and quickly and I like that you can order from the kiosks and pick up rather than having to wait in line to order. It's a much more organized system. Never had an issue with departure and returns are always a breeze. read more

I would say average size Costco and "normal" to have the booze in the middle. If you're looking for what's on sale, go to the customer service counter for the booklet. He was extremely pleasant and helpful, while he calmed my panic. I was worried because I was out of state, and also hoped the local pharmacy had the medication. Peter called my home pharmacy and facilitated the transfer. He also called me back to update me on status of my request. This was greatly appreciated. He also solved my problem of not getting text updates when my prescriptions are ready. I immediately started getting them before we got off the phone. I was able to get my medication with no problems. My nerves are much better and the cost didn't break the bank. Thank you Costco! read more

Came here with a friend to see what's the hype with Costco. Place is huge and offers a lot of goodies. Depending on what you're getting, this place may be a deal while others are more expensive. Plus I don't have to buy in bulk when prices are better elsewhere. Using organic raspberries as an example, WF on sale are two boxes for $7. Costco I have to be a member to buy two boxes for $8. Harvest coconut water is a steal, about $2ish for a bottle vs $4ish at other supermarkets. So depending on what you're getting and when you go at the right timing when they offer additional rebate savings, then Costco is awesome! They still have $1.50 hot dogs with a drink, whaaat??!! Went on a Sunday around 2pm so relatively quiet. Staff were offering samples. The parking lot was a zoo leaving. Other customers at nearby mall are exiting in same lane so that was quite a traffic departing Costco. Be sure to use the restrooms before entering car because the wait time to depart the parking lot can be a while... Do notice the limit amount on items with additional rebate savings. Didn't see the small font plus it was my first time going there so I noticed on receipt that I didn't get the deductions on a few items. Returning was super easy and staff was able to process return quickly. The store itself is tidy. read more

If you want to be given a run for you money and have nearly an hour of your life taken from you for $35, then get your refund processed by a dude from Costco who hates customers and hates doing work. Btw he was the Sunday night shift. Costco Everett has failed in two ways: 1. processed my refund inaccurately and without care and due diligence, and without regard for customers time, while placing the burden on the customer. 2. Not hiring the right person and enough people to process returns and check out customers in a timely fashion. Myself and my compatriots spent 45 minutes in the return line today. 30 in the return line and another 15 minutes actively returning my items. Or, rather, they asked me to do half the work to return my items. Details are as follows : I arrived around 5 pm on Sunday with an injured foot in a motorized disability shopping cart to process my return in Costco Everett. There were only 2 other patrons in front of me during this 45 minute refund line from hell. One of them was already being helped at the counter when I got in line. Half an hour later the refund guy was done with the two people in front of me. Then, it was my turn. I was in a motorized shopping cart and could barely hear him when he spoke since I couldn't reach the desk with the basket in the way and people crowding around me to be helped. I gave him my Costco card, as I usually do. I did not have the receipt with me, as is usually the case, because Costco is usually fast and efficient and doesn't penalize me for not having a receipt. This has changed in the last few years. Note the following example. The man at the refund counter asked me if my items were part of a three pack. I didn't understand why he was asking about this, since there were only two orders made, one in person and one online before this moment. Since he was confused or misunderstood, I explained it was the only online order I had ever made and it was made less than 30 days ago. Without bothering to check the computer for the order, he asked me to look up the order number for my purchase. It took another 6-7 minutes for me to look this up because my internet service doesn't work well in the Costco warehouse building l, and it was taking too long for me to sign in to the Costco warehouse WiFi. Using my own internet service, I finally got the order number and gave it to him. Then, he went to look up the order. After all of this, despite giving him the order number, he took $12 off my return, claiming it was a for a discount I had received. However, the discount was applied to another purchase I had made in the same order, not the ones I was returning that day. Somehow he was able to do the effort of making sure I lost out on $12 but he couldn't take a second to look up my order, and when he did use the order number I gave him, he didn't use it to correctly assess whether a discount was applied to the purchases, and intentionally made sure I didn't get my $12. He took advantage of my situation and assumed correctly that I wouldn't argue this fraudulent act. Note the previous: I couldn't physically get close to him and argue about this, as I recently had surgery and I was in the motorized shopping cart. I also couldn't hear very well with the noise of the fans and other people having their refunds processed. Not to mention that he's already argued with me about not wanting to find the order in his system as Costco has done for the 20+ years I've been a customer. I didn't want to argue about yet another point with him while I was also in pain and unable to jump out of the motorized disability cart and get close and encourage him to do the refund correctly. Besides, there was a growing line of tired, impatient people waiting behind me because it took him 45 minutes to get through 3 customers, including myself. Costco really needs to get their act together and rehire all the people they laid off to save money. They also need to replace the refund counter management to improve customer service. This counter is the one place most people interact with a human being in Costco now that self checkout exists. If that human interaction is a reflection on Costco, which it is, it's not looking good right now. I've been shopping at Costco for 20 years, and was a self described Costco lover. No longer. To be treated this poorly (and on the regular, since I go often) is not worth my time, money and effort. Costco needs to think seriously about how they treat their customers. read more

Costco in Everett, MA is my primary Costco -- and I love the deals! This review is specifically regarding the returns counter at this location. I had a terrible experience with an employee named Patricia on Thursday, May 18. I bought a container of salsa that starting leaking as I was packing my car. This has never happened to me before, so I was unsure of the exchange process, but I knew there must be one. I waited in the long returns counter line. Once I made it to the counter, Patricia was rude, snappy, and confusing. She explained this long process to follow at the customer service counter in order to get a new salsa. Trying to understand the process, I asked her if an employee gets the new salsa or do I get the new salsa. She then again snapped at me and said -- "that depends on if they have someone available to do that!" I understand that this review can be confusing without hearing the whole conversation, but that would be too much to write here. Essentially, I felt so confused about the exchange process, and I also felt she was so annoyed to be doing her job that I just asked to return the salsa, then re-entered the store, got a new salsa, and waited in a very long self check-out line to get a salsa that was not leaking. After leaving the Costco, I realized that if Patricia had just be kinder and patient with me, I could have gone to the customer service counter, explained my issue, then gone to get a new salsa without having to wait in a long self check-out line again. Rather, she wanted to be rid of me and move on to the next customer, with no regard to really helping me. I know the store is busy, but I don't think that is an excuse to not appropriately help customers. read more

So I thought I would take a different approach and tell you all about the concession stand ?? After all we are Yelpers. The food counter at Cosco is also a bargain they serve up hotdogs and sausages like it's nobody's business. The dogs are large and juicy and you put on your own condiments. The sausages are also large served on a sub roll with peppers and onions. They also serve up a few other fast food type items pizza chicken etc. all priced less than if you bought anywhere else. So next time you have a craving for a sausage or a dog go to Cisco food counter and spend $3-5 for some greatness in a bun. Lol. While your there you may as well get a years supply of something. Happy with the washer/dryer; happy with the speed of delivery, however........ Do not be deceived by the advertised "FREE INSTALLATION". You will need parts and you will be massively overcharged for the parts. I paid $100.00 for two Water Hammer Arrestors which cost $14.98 each at Lowe's. We paid $75.00 for a replacement exterior hood/flapper because they said the law required the hoods to now be metal. We were charged $75.00 vs. Lowe's price of $17.98. Similarly, they charged us $75.00 for a piece of pipe priced $8.52 at Lowes. The installer said, "Sorry, I just work for the company, I don't set the prices". In summary, the free installation cost $250.00 for $56.46 worth of parts, an astonishing markup of 443%. read more

Going to Costco once a week seems like a good habit. The Everett Costco is so close to my home so that I end up going there sometimes more than once. What I like: - Great basic products of high quality. Milk, eggs, frozen edamame are usually in my cart. What I do not like: - Fruits and vegetables are of varying quality. One needs to check every item carefully. Even if Costco takes everything back that is not perfect, who would bother to return a box of oranges for one or two moldy ones? - Do not go on Saturdays, which I call Chinese carnival. When you see the lines of extended families craving free samples, you'd understand. It is great for them (and Costco), but not so great when you want to get in and out fast. The best of 'murica and the promoter of obesity? My first visit to Costco was fun. Everything comes in bulk and I'm set for my dinner and lunches for the next month. It's hard to shop perishable items here if you're on your own. I was eyeing my sights on 6 large blue berry muffins but their deal only applies to 12 muffins...and you're not allowed to buy only 6. There's no way I can finish 12 muffins on my own in a week without it going bad unless I want to turn chub chub. The sales left and right are tempting..but really question yourself, can you finish that? Getting things in bulk undeniably makes people happy. I'm a big Costco fan, and I often visit this particular location. Like most Costcos, it gets insanely busy on the weekends, and the check-out lines seem to wrap around the store. Overall, the stock at this location is great. The food court is also good. The real trouble with this particular Costco is its location. It's situated in a busy strip mall, which seems to get busier each year. Even if you can handle the lines inside of the store, you might go crazy from the lines exiting the mall. Last visit, It took me over 20 minutes, sitting standstill in my car to leave. Of course this can be solved by visiting late on a weeknight, so I'll try that in the future. There are bigger/nicer Costco locations in eastern MA, but this one seems to be the best in terms of having organic foods, rather than the processed crap most warehouse clubs stock en masse. That and its proximity are the two main reasons I come here, it's where I do at least 1/3 of my grocery shopping (Market Basket is still #1 by far, followed by Whole Foods) and yeah the cost of membership is easily paid for by the annual 2% rebate especially since I got the Costco Visa card which gives you additional rebates for travel and restaurants. If you have roomies or friends/family to share the membership cost with you and do group shopping trips, even better deal. Snack bar is a nice treat, the frozen yogurt, hot dogs and sausage sandwiches are excellent, though the pizza quality is uneven---some days good, but more often slightly under-cooked and mushy bread-like crust. Frozen lattes are also good, just tell them to skip the way-too-sweet chocolate sauce. My only gripes: no gas (seems to be true statewide for some reason), no booze (there is an unaffiliated liquor store on the premises though, with limited selection and so-so prices but there's a Total Wine just 2 minutes away so it's beside the point), and I wish they didn't close so damn early (6pm) on weekends when yes the crowds/lines can get huge. But I always use the self-checkout anyway, much faster that way and you have to be a total moron not to be able to scan your own stuff for Chrissakes. read more

RE: COSTCO PHARMACY Bait and switch tactics used. Pharmacy advised that the drug experiencing a shortage was in stock and covered by my insurance. I then had to pay over $300 upon pickup, thinking it was a copay. After contacting the insurance company, I was advised that Costco reversed their claim + up-charged over $200. I thought it was odd that the techs would not discuss this medication with me. I was not informed that my insurance was not going to be used. My receipt also shows the charge as a "co-pay." Pharmacy Manager did not care and stated that he thought he was doing me a favor by offering the drug (instead of saying that they were out of stock). read more

This place is the illest. I'm genuinely never excited to go shopping more than when I'm en route to Costco. I will never turn down a chance to go. I wish people were more down to hang out here. I don't understand why people go hang at the mall, Costco is so much greater than that. There are always lots of samples. It's really fun to see what they have, and they rarely disappoint. The stations near the frozen food section are usually where the party's at. The prices are amazing. I got a pork loin for ~$3.50 which literally fed my family for almost a whole week. Wat. Of course there's loads of deals on other things too. Very good if you know what you enjoy eating even if you have a lot of it, and if you have ways to store it. Great value, and fantastic quality.
