The manager on Dec. 13, 2023 told me I could put the items on…read moremy TJ Maxx credit card to get the points, using just my receipt and the credit card I used and my TJ Maxx credit card.  The cashier on Dec. 13, 2023 then told me the manager's name. I wrote it on the receipt. I came on Dec. 26, 2023 with the receipt and both cards. I stood in a line for 40 minutes. Two separate managers told me "if you don't have the items, you can't switch to another form of payment" and "we don't have a manager by that name." I even told them I couldn't get here sooner before I gave the gift because I was accompanying my wife who was in the hospital for weeks on end. They said, "That's our policy." Every other store just asks for your social security number if you don't have your card and this allows you to make a purchase with your store credit card.  I strongly recommend not shopping at TJ Maxx on Middlesex Avenue in Somerville.

Once she found help for us, I asked if I could try a couple on too. I was told by the sales associate that only one person at a time can be helped. Fine. I waited for another 10 minutes for the other client to choose which glasses she would buy. The sales associate then told me she had to go help them at the register and needed to find the cases for the glasses too. Another 15 minutes went by. At that point I just left. They're clearly not interested in making a sale. Such a shame because before this lock up situation, I used to buy all my glasses from this location. Looks like I'll need to find another store.

This was my first time to Saks off fifth and I was very surprised on the pricing for the designer brands. I think I bought around 15 things which is something that I never do. But overall, my experience was very good and despite the , small amount of staff because no one was coming to work according to the folks working there. My experience was really good. I will be back, but on a Sunday instead of a Saturday when I know there will be less people shopping. I also found a brand new favorite clothing company that I had never been aware of named Tailor Byrd. Their clothes are amazing and they fit very well. We enjoyed strolling leisurely with our little dog as well as sun and conversation on various comfortable outside patios with treats in hand. Parking isn't always easy, but we were lucky and grabbed a spot. Free 3 hour parking is offered at the parking garages. Also noticed that Assembly Row is located near the "T" and that the Orange line stops near. Very convenient! Nice place to visit and enjoy some time.
