Service: Really good and fast for Amazon returns, the staff here are also pretty friendly (i.e. I needed gloves, make-up bags, and they knew exactly where to point me to). Kohls is a store with a history for friendly, professional service dispensing quality products. I live in Oklahoma, your overhead cost in this state is reasonable compared to California. I went shopping for a well made genuine leather purse. I found plastic, colorful, Chinese junk. 150.00 for a purse that will fall apart in four months. Kohls is synonymous with "quality". Perhaps you could buy local American made products to sell in your store. Adjust your greed scale. Return to quality or go bankrupt. I despise shopping for something on a computer. A great deal of enjoyment is had by getting out of the house and into the store itself. It was a pleasure walking into Kohls. Please return to your previous way of doing business? Today we came to this Kohl's store to pick up some clothing and I have to say that this is the worst Kohl's location we have been to for many reasons. The first issue we had here was that the store was so unorganized that trying to find clothing was difficult and multiple times we had to climb over clothes to get through some aisles. The second issue we had here was that none of the items here were priced and we had to scan every single item to find out what the actual price was. The final issue we had here was with the staff. The staff members "stocking shelves" we too busy talking about their scores on their games to help us out, and the cashier was worse. At one point I we were checking out and my wife was away from the counter on the phone. The cashier then turned to me and said "Wow, how rude to be on her phone." Well, she's not cashing out, so what's the issue. Overall, terrible experience here and we will only come back if we need to buy something in an emergency. read more

I've shopped at kohl's for for YEARS. Its where I got my kitchen aid, where I get most of my tank tops & other random odds and ends. I've never had an issue, nor have I ever problems with management. So am so done with Khôls today I had $20 kohl bucks that i was going to use on a pair of boots . The boots were in total disarray in the department and the prices were all different but I had seen them online for $39 . Anyhow first of all she said my Kohl's cash was void after a brief argument a male came over who had quite a attitude just ring it up he said . That's when I realized she was charging me full price for the boots . I was mad at this point and then she voided the whole transaction and I lost my Kohl's cash . If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would. I went in bought a pair of sunglasses on a display that says "free case with purchase". I went to the register and was told I couldn't get the case as that pair was not a part of the promotion. The manager was behind my cashier said to give them to me and the cashier continued to rudely say no. I said that it was on the display so that's false advertisement. I left the store with no case and then called the store back. The woman on the phone was very apologetic and told me of course they should give you a free case as every pair of sunglasses comes with a free case. The woman on the phone proceeded to tell me to turn around and come back in to speak to her or the manager and get my free case. I turned around went back in for the manager to yell and scream at me that she didn't have to give me a case even though she had originally told her employee to give me the case. She went to the sunglasses display "supposedly" for it to be cleaned off with other brands leaving the shelf's empty. She argued with me and told me to just buy another pair of sunglasses. Her behavior as a manager is absolutely terrible I would have assumed she was a new employee as she had no customer service skills at all. Then after leaving being embarrassed twice in the same store, I called corporate to have no one answer. I called the Medford location again to speak to the manager unbeknown to me the manager was the rude employee that told me to just buy a new pair of sunglasses as she didn't disclose who she was the entire conversation. She told me because I was rude that I didn't get a case. I said I was told to turn around and get the case by her in the first place! This place is filled with rude employees if you want to be harassed belittled and treated like garbage shop here. I just bought a toaster oven that I had to climb up shelves to get. I didn't want this toaster oven but since the two toasters that were in your store that I did want were not available, I decided to treat myself to a toasteroven. FANCY! I drag the toasteroven through the store, wait in line @ the register and the cashier was trying to get the foreign couple in front of me to sign up for the "Kohl's Card" and in their broken English they kept asking if it was a credit card? Besides the associates smothering you like moths to a flame in hopes of opening a Kohl's card, it's a great place to shop for baby items. I come here and snag all white clothing that I dye for my sweet little niece. I wasn't planning on shopping at Kohl's but decided to come in when Carter's didn't have much of a variety and found a lot of super cheap clothing. I had a suprising experience at Kohl's today. I hate to sound like a prude, but the reason I preface my story with saying that is that the location attracts mostly lower to lower-middle class customers, which means sometimes irritable employees, sometimes a messy store, shoplifting, kids running around screaming with no disciplinary action, and crazy people trying to find a cheap deal, and therefore complaining about everything. That being said, I'd like to say how impressed I am with the store manager and the way he handles his staff and treats his customers. I only know that his first name is Butch. To make a long story even longer....I lost a ring there in the midst of an hour long shopping experience. Now, at a place like this, honestly, who would return a ring to lost and found? Sorry to be a Negative Nancy, but a small lost ring in a large department store full of desperate people in a poor economy doesn't bode well. I left my name and number anyway, and had to shrug it off, knowing full well it would never be found/returned. The minute I got home, I received a phone call from the manager saying it had been found by the cleaning guy, and that he would personally hold onto it for me until I could come pick it up. Along the way I was distracted by various do-dads for the house and kitchen. I think I am now properly prepared to review Kohl's. I always thought Kohl's was kind of a blowout store, only with brands like levi's, calphalon, shark, etc. I think I might have been wrong on that, though I'm still not sure. Here's the deal: Kohl's sells really cheap clothes that are a steal [from you] at any price. I work too hard for my money to spend it on clothing that will fall apart soon and look crappy along the way. Kohl's also sells bedding, towels, etc. Some of what they have is of acceptable quality. Their home goods section offers some interesting target-esque pieces of unknown quality and price (though one sign did advertise a sale, almost none of the pieces were marked anywhere). Their cleaning, kitchen, electronic toothbrush, etc selection is the best part of the store and really the best reason to wander in. All of this being said, the prices are sometimes a little whack/ Example: An hourglass with white sand. I bought this exact hourglass at pottery barn for 19.00. Kohl's price? $39.00 Shark handheld steamer: Bed Bath and Beyond 69.00 - 20% coupon that we all have $55.20 Kohl's price? 89.00 However it's not all bleak: Oral B Electronic toothbrush: Various outlets $120 Kohl's price? $80.00 Overall, it's possible to get some great deals here, just make sure you shop with discipline. read more

I love Kohl's, but this particular store is a disaster. Fitting rooms are overflowing with rejected clothing, the return rack outside the dressing room is full with a mountain of clothes accumulating on the ground under it, display shelves of sweaters are in complete disarray, and the kids section is a disaster. I didn't see a single employee putting merchandise away; at other stores they have employees re-folding clothes and clearing out fitting rooms as fast as customers can mess them up. They also crowd as much stuff as they can into the floor space, including large bins of bedding and shelves of product right down the middle of the store aisles (a man in a wheelchair struggled to maneuver through the barely-wide-enough aisle that remained, since he had to go up onto the carpet to get by). Customer service was average. My simple return was uneventful, but the lady next to me was told she needed to go to the front checkout to purchase her sweater; it couldn't be done at customer service along with her return. That employee was either lazy or completely untrained, because every other Kohl's store will gladly ring up new purchases at customer service in the same transaction as the return (and there wasn't even a line). read more

Kohl's isn't really that great of a place to shop or work. I'm use to that confusing layout after a year, and I'm certainly used to helping people find their way around. I'm not much of a fan of their products because most of them are Kohl's brands and probably made by children in Cambodia, but I don't know. Some people at this location are very very friendly (I'm one of them) and will go out of their way to help a customer, others are just plain lazy. If you could go into the stock room you'd know, but I'm sure the store's condition shows it all too well. Well, if you ever need help, don't be afraid to find me, for I know most of what we do and do not carry and where it is. Just look for the guy putting up the signs! It seems to me from reading so many bad reviews about the Kohl's Medford store that this is more of a management problem then anything else. I have been to other Kohl's stores that are fine. I also shopped there this past Sunday and was not to happy with the level of customer service help at this store. At the women's department there was a women obviously working in the women's department bring close from the dressing room back to women's department close racks. Upon asking her a pricing question she didn't help at all, was flip and walked away saying that she didn't work in that department. This is not acceptable behavior for a store employee. Furthermore, closing down dressing rooms to limit the amount of close left behind by customers so that reps have less work to do is also not acceptable. read more

This location was great for getting baby clothes. They have 50% off sale often enough, you can get little baby outfits for almost nothing! So that day, I splurged and got my baby cousin 6 various outfits, one of them being a cowboy get-up with tassles and a star. For my friend's recent arrival, I also got a large stuffed elephant toy wearing headphones that act as speakers that you can plug into your ipod or boombox to play music for your child. read more

Now don't get me wrong, I love Kohl's more than Charlie Sheen loves cocaine and prostitutes. I'm also sympathize with people who work in retail. They put up with a lot of crap. But some recent experiences at this location have me more concerned than Billy Ray over Miley turning 18. The first incident occurred just a couple of weeks ago while shopping. The entire mall needed to be evacuated for a noxious odor. That wasn't my problem. The Kohl's security manager was excellent. He recognized that they would lose $1000s in sales and grabbed every employee that could run a register. Smart move. The front of the store was a different story. I overheard the cashier manager (title?) say to several customers "Just get out of the store" and "I don't care who you're waiting for, you need to get out". There are several different ways to say the same thing, just not as crude. I was not impressed. My next experience was no better. While browsing, 2 associates were no more than 15 ft from me carrying on a conversation about their loathing for customers and how they "can't wait to find another job". Not the best conversation to be having in front of customers. Fortunately I'm a little more lax that most. I realize every big retailer faces these problems and turnover will always be an issue. But who is responsible for the morale of the associates? That morale transfers the the customers and will gradually develop a poor taste in the mouths of the very people who keep you in business. Somebody needs to keep an eye on these problems before things go downhill quickly. Because the last thing I need is a Kohl's associate telling me I'm an a-hole while I'm blaming them that an item isn't in stock! The nerve! read more

This location has a terrible selection. I went there this past weekend to pick up some clothes (capris or skirts) for work. They had 3 pairs of shorts and a ton of jeans but NO work clothes. Everything was strewn about and picked through. In addition, I originally went there to return something. I immediately got attitude from the woman at the service desk. On top of that one of my returns was never put back on my card. Now I have to call them to straighten this out. Never again. read more

It's nice and clean. Never crowded. Patrolled parking lot. Customer service is pretty good. Nobody discriminate you if you are a foreigner or not, if your English is good or bad. Once cashier made a mistake and customer service took very good care of me. No complaints here. I shop mostly for kids outfits. My nieces are always happy to get princess dresses and cute accessories: hats and lady-like purses. They like very much Osh-Kosh clothes. Believe me you can afford a lot of clothes on your dollar. I regularly shop the women's clothing section at Kohl's. Decent prices, decent business casual and casual clothing - no complaints. I can usually find good deals on men's clothing at Christmas time too. The rest of the store bores me for the most part. It's worth getting a Kohl's charge since they regularly send out very good discount cards. There's nothing much else to speak of in this mall. Perhaps that's why parking is always easy. The whole experience with Kohl's is horrible. Customer service and the technology that supports them is so backwards. Here are the 100 excruciating steps to buying a TV a Kohl's 1. Recieved a large gift card at work for Kohl's... most painful gift to actually utilize ever. 2. Kohl's delivered me ten 100 dollar gift cards. 3. Kohl's.com only accepts 4 forms of payment online ( TV i want costs 700) 4. TV's are only sold online.... are we seeing the problem... 5. I still love Kohls at this point. A quick call to the help line will fix it? No. They tell me to go to the store and they can merge gift cards. 6. The store (1 hour away) says they have no idea how to merge cards 7. They make me call the customer service line. 8. The customer service line tells me the store can do it. 9. I let the customer service and store talk. 10. I then ask can I just buy a huge item in store with ten gift cards and get a refund on one card? (I had asked this earlier but they turned it down at first, but it seemed to make perfect sense so I asked again) 11. They finally say yes to merging cards via my suggested method. 12. We merge the gift cards. 13. I buy the TV! 14. The TV is delivered damaged a week and a half later after 3 hours with customer service, and an hour in the store... 15. I call to return the TV, and this process is even more loopy. 16. They do not give you the postage label. UPS brings it. (Preventing me from just bringing it to a UPS store) I ask if I can schedule when UPS comes to pick the TV up. Kohls says you can't schedule it. 17. I wait at my door each day during normal UPS hours since you can't just leave a huge TV outside your door step 18. Finally, they take my TV back. 19. I call Kohls and ask if they can send a new TV 20. Kohls says they have to mail me a new gift card... 21. I go, "can't you just not mail it and just order me it over the phone?" 22. They say no. I say, "just pretend you mailed it and type in the gift card number now..." still no. 23. The gift card arrives two weeks later 24. The gift card is for 140 less than the value of the TV. 25. I call Kohl's. They say I received Kohl's Cash for buying TV and they can't refund me the full amount. (mind you Kohl's Cash is promotional money only valid for a short time period... it's not really money) Gift cards always represent real money... This intuitively is not fair, but let's play Kohl's game for a second... 26. I say you can invalidate the Kohl's Cash from this purchase, but I don't want to spend my own money to make up the difference to be able to purchase the TV then receive Kohl's cash and be forced to buy something else from your horrible store! 27. It's been a month since I got my broken TV. I just want a TV. I miss Amazon. I miss logical processes at companies... Long story short: Other reviewers mention how the store is disorganized. The four stars are for their amazing sales. I always hit up Kohl's on Black Friday and this year since I spent $150, I was rewarded with $30 in Kohl's cash to use the week following Thanksgiving. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they extended their sales when I went to spend the $30. What I don't like about Kohl's is that they never have enough shopping carts and the carts they have are not your standard shopping carts. As many times I have shopped there I have never been able to find a cart. I usually end up with one of their nylon shopping bags which is really a pain in the butt, or back rather. I want them to know that if I had a cart I would probably spend even more money in their store because I wouldn't be stuck lugging the stuff around. I stop shopping once I start sweating. Also check out is always brutal. The lines are generally long, and even when they are short they are S-L-O-W. If it wasn't for the good prices I wouldn't have a reason to shop here. read more

I generally love Kohl's. But I'm not going to lie, this isn't the best Kohl's ever. The layout seems weird to me (usually their cookie cutter store layout is the same; this is the first one I've been to where it was different and it FREAKS ME OUT, okay?) and frankly, the whole "adjacent to a mall" thing is weird for me with Kohl's. It's semi-easily walkable, at least in pleasant weather, from the Wellington T, or you can take the 134 bus from there -- and don't worry, it stops right outside of it. All in all, it's not a bad place to shop if you can get over there, but it's sometimes a little picked over. Today I went in to question a bill but was told to call in to the My Kohl's Credit line. Shopping, I found two shirts on sale. Checking out, the clerk said one was not on sale and the sticker was there by mistake. I told they better check because there were others there, but she was unconcerned. The bill problem was terrible. I bought a watch as a gift in late Dec, paid in full on Jan 5, but unfortunately to my wife's account number. When I got a bill plus penalty on Feb 19, Called and explained and was told they would transfer the payment internally and there would be no penalty. Yesterday, Mar 19, I get a bill for $41.27 in penalties. I called and they told me they cannot help me. I told them their person had credited my account on Feb 20 and told me "No penalties!". Great clearance sales, cute apartment items every fall, cheap shoes and easily the best thing about the Meadow Glen Mall (really, it's quite a terrible mall). The manager named Deanna or whatever her name is, was extremely rude and disrespectful. She told me that I couldn't return an item because it was passed the 30 day time frame. I said excuse me mam, that only applies to premium electronics not regular items. She dismissed me with attitude and disrespect and told me to call the company to return my home appliance item. I calmly told her that she was wrong and that she needed to abide by the corporate policy which is very clear and obvious on the receipt. She couldn't care less about that and she said she made the rules because she was an assistant manager. I almost laughed in her face, and I just walked away to descalate the embarrassing situation. I went to the home applicable qreq and spoke to a wonderful lady named Angela who told me that If I had my receipt and it was purchased within the 180 day time frame that I should be able to swap it out for the same model. When I sent her to talk to Deanna the devil, she came back disappointed and said sorry she won't let you return it. Anyways long story short I ended up returning it after Deanna the nutjob racist, said that I could. Only after I called another store and told her that she said I definitely could return it. Deanna was smart enough( sarcasm) to realize she was in the wrong and decided let me return it for my full refund. She asked if I wanted her to go out the back and find another one for me to exchange and I told her a resounding NO! I just want my refund and after I received it I walked away while she was still talking to me. I don't know how on Gods given Earth Kohls employs really inept, remedial, disrespectful and classless employees to represent their company which isn't doing too good I might add. I don't want to play the race card here but I noticed she was very polite and prompt with a white ladies return seconds before me. When she seen me, her demeanor changed. I'm a person of color and proud so wether she in fact is racist or just a big A hole she doesn't deserve to be employed by Kohl's. I will definitely be taking this to corporate and I hope this lady gets fired. You guys lost me as a longtime loyal customer.
