I worked at this HomeGoods location for 2 years, after working 4 years for the company in a different state. I have never been treated as poorly by anyone as I was by the management at this store. Iris Williams, not a manager, but a key carrier, has an insane attitude. Her power trip is incredibly unprofessional. She puts everyone around her down. She talks to customers like they are stupid. She puts her hands on staff and she feels free to share personal details of her intimate life (although i'm surprised she even has one). Not someone who should be in a "management" position. Brian Gillis, the store manager, is a terrible human being. He shows up to work every single day drunk, as evidenced by the smell on his breath covered by gum, his aggression towards staff, and his falling asleep every five seconds sitting in the office making the schedule. Brian is dismissive of employee needs and should have suffered legal action from the things he did to me. Brian terminated my employment while i was on medical leave for major surgery. Brian and Iris caused me irreparable emotional damage to the point where i have lost all my professional confidence. The toll that job took on my mental health was too great. No one should ever get away with the things they practice in this store. I mean managers, Veronica and Kathy, neglected an employee who cut herself on the clock. They didn't send her home until that employee started showing other employees. Like clearly that's a mental health crisis you're dealing with, and you just say she did it for attention. This store has the most dehumanizing, demoralizing, detrimental environment I've ever worked in. I have cancelled my TJX credit card (that charges 35% in interest, mind you) and i am boycotting shopping at all of the TJX company stores from now until I die. I promise you, you have not heard the last of me. read more
