BD's Discount.. what can I say about this place…read more It's dark, it's musty, it's full of cheap Chinese-made products... but it's hella cheap. BD's is similar to an Ocean State Job Lot, where some of it is closeouts, some of it is new merchandise, and they have a wide variety of products. BD's carries furniture, beds, housewares, bedding, kitchen stuff, hardware, food, electronics. A real mix of products. Most of the stuff is cheap knock offs made in China, but hey three bucks for a 6ft HDMI cable. Yes Please. I typically just go in there and look around as they are adding new products, so it changes from week to week what they have in stock. Pro's 1. CHEAP. If you're strapped for cash and you don't care that it might break in a year or so. then this is the place for you. 2. Furnture. Yes they sell furniture. Some of it isn't all that bad. They also sell beds too 3. Convenient. This location is located right on Broadway in Chelsea. So its walkable from anywhere. 4. Selection. Lots of a variety of products to choose from. Con's 1. CHEAP. This is a Con too. Because "you do get what you pay for" when you shop here. I bought a cheap set of knives for 10 bucks and two handles have already snapped off! 2. Chinese Made. A lot of the products are made overseas in China, Taiwan, etc, so its very cheaply made. And The toys are not kid-friendly as they may contain lead in them. 3. Messy. Some times the store gets messy (if they were busy). Since it is 3 floors of stuff, I'm sure its hard to clean up all of it. I've just seen entire aisles just torn apart by someone who was looking for something. 4. Selection. This is a con too, as it isn't Target or KMart where they have just about everything, BD's items are 'off the truck" so one week they may have something, and then not have it again. As far as the staff.. I've never really had a problem except with a language barrier (where the cashier's English wasn't as proficient as mine). BUT Staff are always nice and polite and are willing to help you if you need it. Other than that, I like BD's, I'm sure I'll be back soon.

I decided to send it back to Chelsea. They gave me a quote via email and in a letter. I sent the clock off and they had it repaired and back to me in 5 weeks!! It sounds like new and is working great. I could have had it refinished but I like the look of it now. My recommendation if you have a Chelsea clock, you need to use these guys. I will definitely send it back to them in the future if I have any problems.

I wasn't trying to spend a ton anyways and am usually happy just browsing, so I just got a small ceramic cup that wasn't locked in anything. There was a booth on the first floor selling fine jewelry and tennis bracelets that were gorgeous but out of my price range. There were a ton of eclectic interesting things here, some kind of grimy and some in pristine condition--truly a one man's trash is another's treasure sort of place. I bought a media table for my TV, couch with built in chaise, coffee table end table set and a dinette set with 2 red chairs and 2 grey chairs that I think will look fantastic in my condo. 3/19 Received a call from MLs saying they can't do the red and grey chairs. Either 1 of each color or all brown. I asked to speak to the manager. Mike gave me the song and dance about trying to get what I ordered. Unbeknownst to me. I asked if I choose different colors then what I wanted can I get a discount? He repeatedly said all brown or 1 of each color. I asked why he waited until the day before my delivery to tell me I can't have what I ordered and that I'd be willing to change it if he offered me a discount. He begrudgingly gave me a whopping $10 off the $249 dinette set. Now you have to realize that when I was in the store he told me about all the real estate he owns and that his kids go to private school. I did not read any previous reviews of this store until today but I'll leave that up to you. I'm just aggravated that they waited until now to tell me. I chose those colors for a reason. I wanted quality, style, and value, and I'm happy to say I found all threat Adams Furniture! I want to highlight the patience and professionalism of the sales associates who helped me. Marco (I hope I have his name right -- green eyes!) was so helpful, relatable, and understanding during my decision-making process. But it was Taha who truly stole the show. From start to finish and even long after my furniture was delivered, his service was nothing short of exceptional. Taha didn't stop helping once the sale was complete. He continued to assist me even after my furniture was in my home, offering ideas for color palettes and helping me figure out the best way to rearrange my living room. When I was considering returning my original purchase for a new arrival, they were so accommodating and explained that while there would be a delivery fee for the exchange, the fact that the option even existed spoke volumes. Many stores don't offer that kind of flexibility. In the end, I decided to keep my original pieces. The furniture is beautiful, reliable, and more affordable than many other places I looked. And the service? Unmatched. Taha treated me like a valued returning customer from the moment I walked in with incredible hospitality and a welcoming approach. He remembered my name, offered snacks and a non-alcoholic beverage during my lengthy visits, and created a warm, welcoming environment that made the whole experience enjoyable. He never made me feel like he was judging me for my indecisiveness or inability to choose something right away. This company is a fraud. They did a total bait and switch when I purchased a bedroom set. The…read moretotal for the set was $1,800 and the sales person set up payment arrangements so I could pay over 4 months interest free. The payments had to come out as an EFT from a checking account and they would not accept a debit card. Every two weeks for 4 months and the purchase would be paid in full. I made a cash payment of $300 at the time, which was never noted on the receipt. They took that money to pay for delivery and take away of the old mattress. Once the 4 months were up they continued to take payments and when I called the credit company I was told I needed to pay the full amount of $5,000 which was the amount of credit I was approved for on the date of purchase. I refused to pay any additional as I never used the remainder of the credit. They tried again after I put a stop payment on my account, then tried to put a payment through the debit card they refused to use initially. I was made aware on the purchase date that if I did not pay in full over the 4 months that the interest rate would be 50%. Absolutely outrageous!! The credit company tried to negotiate over the phone to get any amount they could to fulfill the total of $5,000. I am still fighting to get the payments back and resolve this matter. DO NOT TRUST ADAMS FURNITURE OF IT'S SALES ASSOCIATES.

To say if this place is good or bad is sort of like asking if people are good or evil. Like people, A to Z event sales just sort of "is". I was going to Restaurant Depot, which is in a curious area of town primarily occupied by bulk food suppliers, the USPS sorting center, and other non-pedestrian businesses. I noticed some people outside a brick warehouse building with the sign A to Z event guides, they had shopping carts filled with boxes of appliances that looked as if they may have fallen off the back of a trunk, literally. Curiosity overcame me and I went inside. I might as well have stepped into a petting zoo during feeding time one summer day. The place was hot, unpleasantly fragrant, and chaotic to say the least. There were huge mounds of clothes allegedly from "department stores," for 2 dollars apiece. I grabbed a Merona dress in some size other than my own kinda just because. They had tables and shelves full of cut rate kitchen appliances for 15 dollars, some used, some in boxes, some in pieces, few were in complete sets at this point in the day. There was much redundancy, with tons of Cooks Belgium Waffle makers, toasters, coffee makers, pressure cookers, etc. Past the kitchen ware section were rows and rows of boxes of "drug store items, $1." If I had any particular affliction or needed to restrock my medicine cabinet, it may not have been a bad place to go but like the kitchen section most boxed items (such as hair dyes) had since been opened, shuffled through, and separated from their box content siblings. Past the drug store was the home decor section, with blankets, pillows, sheets, drapes, comforters, and more. This may've been one of the better sections if you find your self needing generic comforters and sheets all of a sudden. I actually felt some comforters and bed pads made of down. If I wasn't already equipped, I probably would have grabbed some. Anyway, the point is A to Z Event Sales is certainly an experience in the most value neutral sense of the term. Worth checking out if you find your self that way. I'll shoot an update if the toaster oven I got doesn't work.

"POOR MANAGER SKILLS ". She wasn't willing even to make a deal. As a manager, you should work with customer, not against it. And while she wasnt finish with me, she was quick to turn away and start speaking with another costomer in spanish, by completely ignoring my debate. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT WITH NO EXPERIENCE. Guys on the floor were nice, friendly and pleasant.
