I decided to send it back to Chelsea. They gave me a quote via email and in a letter. I sent the clock off and they had it repaired and back to me in 5 weeks!! It sounds like new and is working great. I could have had it refinished but I like the look of it now. My recommendation if you have a Chelsea clock, you need to use these guys. I will definitely send it back to them in the future if I have any problems.

My chum is a big shopper and I like wandering around in life trying to find random objects to emotionally imprint on, so it was a good match. I was also impressed by the idea of five entire floors dedicated to this, which we didn't even come close to completely exploring. The negatives were minimal but significant - the market was insanely crowded, especially on the first floor, and it was teeming with Gen Zers holding out their phones, presumably ecstatic that they'd found juicy TikTok content for their cottagecore fans or whatever. It was a lot and difficult to navigate; we had to pause a lot to make our way through, though it wasn't quite as bad on the other floors. And I'm not sure there's a solution to it; what are you going to do, have a quota for the number of people in the building at a given time? That would just involve bottlenecking and customers standing outside in the cold. So just make sure you're caffeinated and mentally prepared for people. I grew up with a mother who spiritually lived in Jane Austen novels so antique shops were a way of life. They're not known for their minimalist interiors but this was a ton of stuff by any measure. I don't think I've seen this amount of clutter in a space that didn't give off massive hoarder vibes. And it sort of had themes; there were alcoves or little areas divvied off that were, say, more nautical items, or more outdoorsy forest items. I can't even imagine how they managed to even quasi-successfully organize this kind of inventory but it definitely helps a little. My chum knows my taste, or lack thereof, and located a masterpiece (attached) which will be displayed prominently in my kitchen. The quirky artwork was abundant, to say the least. She also spied a magnificent Saturday Evening Post with my BFF Nixon on the cover, which I will be framing shortly and adding to the fray as well. If you don't spend a solid 45 minutes in here and not find a few choice treasures to bring home, that's on you. I was also impressed that they had easy-to-find restroom facilities on every floor (or close to it), right by the staircases. Not only were they convenient bathroom options, but they worked well as de facto changing rooms (which my chum took advantage of when she encountered a wild flapper dress on one of the higher floors). There were a few employees roaming around for both assistance and I imagine, sadly, to minimize potential shoplifting but it didn't seem overly egregious and everyone I encountered first hand or second hand was very friendly. One of the highlights of the trip for sure - political bovine posters are hard to come by.

I bought a media table for my TV, couch with built in chaise, coffee table end table set and a dinette set with 2 red chairs and 2 grey chairs that I think will look fantastic in my condo. 3/19 Received a call from MLs saying they can't do the red and grey chairs. Either 1 of each color or all brown. I asked to speak to the manager. Mike gave me the song and dance about trying to get what I ordered. Unbeknownst to me. I asked if I choose different colors then what I wanted can I get a discount? He repeatedly said all brown or 1 of each color. I asked why he waited until the day before my delivery to tell me I can't have what I ordered and that I'd be willing to change it if he offered me a discount. He begrudgingly gave me a whopping $10 off the $249 dinette set. Now you have to realize that when I was in the store he told me about all the real estate he owns and that his kids go to private school. I did not read any previous reviews of this store until today but I'll leave that up to you. I'm just aggravated that they waited until now to tell me. I chose those colors for a reason. They scratched the TV stand where it's visible as they were trying to act like a nascar team, hang no instructions and flipping prices back and forth guessing and im going so scratched the stand and i asked them to slow down. I understand Spanish and Portuguese, which as a white guy they obviously did think I did, and they were talking crap about me. Then the left the pace a mess, styrofoam pieces everywhere and I wouldn't sign off as the conditions of signing off were times in good condition, which they weren't, and I paid for installed and clean up and when I asked if they would sweep up all the bits of styrofoam they said no. So I caught one of the 3 guys trying to forge my signature in the phone to accept delivery. I grabbed the phone out of his hand and erased my signature and info he forged and ask him to get his boss who went to the truck. He went downstairs got in the truck and the left. DIDN'T FULLY CLEAN, SCRATCHED MY TV STAND, TRIED TO FOGE MY SIGNATURE TO SIGN OFF WHEN I DECLINED AND ASKED FOE FURTHER ASSISTANCE.

This is a rather interesting place and certainly worth a look. I don't feel like it is quite on a…read morestar rating level. To say if this place is good or bad is sort of like asking if people are good or evil. Like people, A to Z event sales just sort of "is". I was going to Restaurant Depot, which is in a curious area of town primarily occupied by bulk food suppliers, the USPS sorting center, and other non-pedestrian businesses. I noticed some people outside a brick warehouse building with the sign A to Z event guides, they had shopping carts filled with boxes of appliances that looked as if they may have fallen off the back of a trunk, literally. Curiosity overcame me and I went inside. I might as well have stepped into a petting zoo during feeding time one summer day. The place was hot, unpleasantly fragrant, and chaotic to say the least. There were huge mounds of clothes allegedly from "department stores," for 2 dollars apiece. I grabbed a Merona dress in some size other than my own kinda just because. They had tables and shelves full of cut rate kitchen appliances for 15 dollars, some used, some in boxes, some in pieces, few were in complete sets at this point in the day. There was much redundancy, with tons of Cooks Belgium Waffle makers, toasters, coffee makers, pressure cookers, etc. Past the kitchen ware section were rows and rows of boxes of "drug store items, $1." If I had any particular affliction or needed to restrock my medicine cabinet, it may not have been a bad place to go but like the kitchen section most boxed items (such as hair dyes) had since been opened, shuffled through, and separated from their box content siblings. Past the drug store was the home decor section, with blankets, pillows, sheets, drapes, comforters, and more. This may've been one of the better sections if you find your self needing generic comforters and sheets all of a sudden. I actually felt some comforters and bed pads made of down. If I wasn't already equipped, I probably would have grabbed some. Anyway, the point is A to Z Event Sales is certainly an experience in the most value neutral sense of the term. Worth checking out if you find your self that way. I'll shoot an update if the toaster oven I got doesn't work.

We just had a great experience working with Eligio to replace an old asphalt driveway on the side…read moreof our house on a sloping retaining wall. Eligio proposed several materials and adjusted them in line with the specific features we were looking for. We wanted a surface that would be both stable under the specific conditions (directly up against the foundation of our house and next to the sloping retaining wall, but also more porous than the asphalt. Eligio and his crew did a meticulous job to make sure the ground was properly regraded to improve water flow away from the house while making the surface more porous (hence the wider spacing between the cobblestones. He also adapted the design so I could have some planting space between the wall and the cobble stone. We were impressed with the crew's diligence and efficiency. Given the particular challenges and materials we were looking for, I consider the price to have been very fair.
