I used to adore this place. But now it's just as depressing as the other gentrified, dull, and copy and paste store fronts at other malls. Newer isn't better. The whole atmosphere is cold, not inviting and boring. No distinction, character or charm. Before there used to be. Under better prior management I presume. Removing the iconic waterfall? Big mistake. It was elegantly paved with small penny fountains. It was timeless. This urge to just nuke what was beloved to make everything look like a clinical and soulless hallway. All employees at almost every store are glued to their phone and not present at all to customers. You don't make money that way. Even the joke of security guards are glued to their phones outside Gucci. What a joke. In unpredictable and trying times like these, inflation isn't going anywhere and high end stores need to actually try. It was never this catered to the 1%. You could actually go to a restaurant or store and not feel like you've been robbed and facing a debt to pay off for a year. Management can waste their breath saying that Copley was simply updated to keep up with trends. Well, you failed. There's no heart, hardly any selection, all classic architectural which features attracted people from all over the world - destroyed where you do not know where you are. What once was a place of wonderment, excitement and to spark your Christmas Spirit, is now simply a drain of disappointment as you go home with a sigh. Management - you don't have to bother responding. You obviously made decisions to destroy the good made by top notch engineers. It's too late. Sad. read more

A very fancy and upscale mall! A great place to window shop; I'm sure the affluent has a field day here. The layout and architecture of the mall was very pristine; reminded me of a fancy beehive on the inside. A great place to get your steps in if the weather is bad. We were staying at the Marriott that is connected to this place. It was very convenient just walking out of the hotel and into the mall. They had restaurants in there as well as business offices. I can't say much about the parking situation because our car was valeted through the hotel. However, this is close to the train station and various landmarks within walking distance, such as the library and Star Market. If you get bored of this mall, just walk across the bridge to the Prudential Center or go outside and explore the city. Overall, it's in a convenient location and a great spot to people watch. read more

If you've ever wanted a taste of luxury, Copley Place is where you want to be. If there's a designer brand you've heard of, they probably have it here. There's everything from Gucci to Louis Vuitton, to even larger stores like Neiman Marcus. The first floor is where the higher end stores are, and on the second floor there's stores too but they didn't seem as fancy. You also can eat here at Parm or even Cafe Nero. I would check out the website for a full list of stores so you have an idea of where you'd like to shop. It's also conveniently connected to the Prudential Center via a glass tunnel so it's pretty easy to access when in the area. Even though it's not the most practical place to shop, definitely check it out if even if just to window shop! read more

What a cool mall! I really hadn't ever gone in to the side of this mall that's stacked with all the luxury brands. I had a return at Lucky Brand (on the second floor) so it was a good thing I looked up what it looked like before I dropped it off because I was able to spot some other stores near it which helped me figure out where to go. There's some signage but honestly it's just a huge, glass, elegant, multi floor mall in the middle of Boston and I'd love to come back to window shop and see what else they've got going on. It was lunch break at the time so there were lots of people in work clothes using this as a cut through (which I'm sure is nice in the AC on a hot summer day in Boston). Mall security was present walking around, there were a few shoppers (again it was midday during the work week so that wasn't a surprise), and it has a great selection of stores from what I could see. This part of Boston's Back Bay is a large mixed use development loaded with lots of hi-end stores and amazing places to eat, as well as things to do. It's also named after a famous Boston artist, John Singleton Copley. There are plenty of hotels here, mostly Marriott brands, with the Marriott Copley being a great place to stay. Plan to spend a day here and see/do it all! read more

This mall has a lot to offer and seems to be the hot spot for many visitors. My issue is the parking garage. Only 1 out of the several elevators worked, and NO stairwells around. So guess how that goes, when tons of people are trying to go up/down and every time the door opens its full of people. Seriously, this is a buzz kill! It's a waste of time, and quite honestly, the more time you spend trying to get into and out of the mall that is time added to your parking ticket. Also had issues paying at the kiosk. Again, more time wasted. I wouldn't be surprised if they are milking people to cover higher parking fees. read more

Original review date was sometime in 2022 and was on the Prudential Center This is an over-priced "mall" type experience. No small or unique stores. Variety was seriously lacking. Many empty store fronts. In all there were probably just 20 stores or less with nothing under $100 for sale in them. Outside every designer store was "security" honestly what a joke, why would anyone steal a poor-quality handbag with some big name on it and a high price tag. She insisted that I didn't know what size I needed and brought me too large of a pair. They have some nice stores here, butit's very unwelcoming because there are so few places to sit down. You'd think they would want people to spend as much time as possible here, but instead the vibe is "buy some stuff or keep on moving." Copley Place in Boston is an extremely high-end luxury mall located in a fairly central position in the middle of Boston, MA. This location makes it fairly convenient to get to, in particular if you are coming off of the Back Bay Amtrak station. The mall itself is connected via Sky Bridge to the Prudential Center mall, so if you happen to work in 101 Huntington then it is also convenient to get here without having to ever go outside. The mall itself is clean and upscale, with nearly every major luxury retailer from Luis Vuitton and Gucci to Burberry and Moncler represented, though there are a few notable exceptions such as Chanel and Hermes. For those, you will have to leave the mall and visit their standalone locations on Newbury Street. The mall (not counting Prudential center) is fairly small and compact, though there is a second floor with less luxury and more premium stores such as J.Crew and Banana Republic. In terms of food, there is a Legal Sea Foods, an Italian place on the first floor, and a Cafe Nerro on the far end. Surprisingly slim pickings for such a high-end luxury mall, to be completely honest - the best restaurants are arguably in the Prudential Center nearby. The mall clearly caters to a particular clientele - wealthy socialites who like to see and be seen, rubbing shoulders with the elite of the city. Put it this way - if you have to ask if you can afford the goods on offer here, you probably can't. The mall is pretty unabashed about this, and you can almost respect that. One final thing to note here: parking. The lot here can get very crowded during peak hours, especially when you consider the fact that the office building located on top of the mall is also served by the same lot, so you're competing with office workers for parking spots. In addition, parking fees can get rather pricey, but given the nature of this mall, perhaps that should not come as a particular surprise. Be prepared for $20+ in parking for just a few hours. Given the extremely high-end nature of this mall, I would have expected better food offerings. It's a bit of a let-down that the lower-end Prudential Center has superior food. Also, some important names like Chanel and Hermes are not available, which given the nature of this mall might be a bit of a surprise. As such, it cannot receive 5 stars as a similarly high-end mall (for example, King of Prussia near Philadelpha) does have those features. Still, bottom line, with some exceptions, if you want high-end shopping in Boston, there are few other places in New England that can match. Only Newbury Street can compare, and beyond that, the closest location that can come close to this would be New York City. read more

I've always had a soft spot for this mall since my poor grad student days at NEC up the road. It's a high end mall with a nice selection of some top designers as well as mid range and affordable shops. We spent many happy days at the top of the hub in our youth, dreaming about the future! I'm struck by all the lovely things I thought I wanted when I couldn't possible afford them. Now I find that although I can afford them, I no longer want the majority of them! read more

I love the Copley Place Mall! It's small enough that you can see everything quickly and find your friends, but large enough to attract big, brand name clothing designers too. The deal: there are small fashion shows held here. They have most of the major players (Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Tiffany, etc.) and all of the stores are well maintained and well stocked. This is a super upscale shopping mall in the Back Bay. As expected, it is clean as a whistle and all the stores looks amazing. The reason we were here is the parking. This is a very high end mall where a girl could do a lot of damage (and I did). The anchor stores are Barney's, Neiman Marcus and Barneys. There is also a Tiffany, Montcler, Carolina Herrera and assorted other high end stores. The mall is very clean and relatively quiet. I imagine it could get quite busy during Christmas time. Yesterday I visited the most opulent Mall in Boston Ma, and I've got 2 words for them: Pretentious Liars. I'm not a mall person, but IF you like high end malls, I'm sure this will do. My reason to visit the mall was to eat at Legal Seafood. I ONLY tried this location because the Mall advertised 'Validated Parking'. Unfortunately for me Legal Seafood was being rented out to a private party on 03/15/2024 and I was turned away. I kindly asked them to please validate my parking ticket and they were more than willing to do so. Nonetheless, when I get to the exit booth and insert my ticket, there is a bill? WTF? The parking was only PARTIALLY validated to the tune of $2. Why not state, Parking is PARTIALLY validated, believe me I would've never even considered it. Why make money off of someone who stayed all of 15 mins? Every since Covid, Entities have found it a reason to lie openly. I was even told by my Hotel that my linen is only to be changed every 6 days? I asked why and was told the standard Pat answer.....its b/c of Covid. I didn't dislike this mall, but it was just a normal mall like any other. They had some high end stores here and you can enter through the Westin at Copley Square, but the whole mall is definitely a bit confusing as you can enter from various hotels and it all connects randomly so it's hard to find what you are looking for. I did like that for some reason this specific mall makes a huge differentiation between men and women. They had several chain stores which had women and men specific stores that were separated. I also liked that they had the J Crew men's shop, a concept store that I felt was very unique and great. I think it would be convenient to grab something you need here but as far as browsing goes, I think you would be quite confused unless you come here often. read more

When I was planning my trip to Boston, I consulted with Yelpers in Boston on the discussion boards of the "must do" things and places to go. Copley was on all of the recommendations for those who love to shop so naturally, this was top of the list. Copley is in the back bay area of Boston, can be accessed easily on the Subway as it has it's own stop. I love upscale shopping, mostly places I cannot get at home so some of the headliners for me were: Barney's Neimen Marcus Christian Dior Louis Vuitton Jimmy Choo and my fave....Michael Kors!!! There hasn't been a time I've been in Boston where I haven't stopped in Copley. Usually we find something to eat or we find something we must buy in one of the many stores located here. This last trip this past weekend forced us to buy another piece of luggage for everything we bought at the various stores. Very clean inside, security has a noticeable presence and very nice. Copley is also very centrally located in the city with several T stops, and you can connect to the MBTA Backbay station through a tunnel. Copley has some of the best Upscale shopping anywhere globally we've traveled, and we make routine monthly trips to stop by here. read more

For a girl who appreciates her exclusive designer brands and high end lifestyle, Copley Place is heaven. It's the mecca of fashion and elegance. This mall is across from Prudential Center and literally consists of every brand you can imagine. Coming from a small town in California, I have to drive several miles to the nearest Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry, Fendi etc stores. Thankfully my best friend from back home is a Resident MD at MGH and I often come visit him and we always make a stop here so I can pick up a special gift for myself, just as I did this time. This mall also has a variety of restaurants/bars to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks. Even if you aren't buying, this mall makes a perfect place for window shopping, spending the day out and perhaps people watching as well (as my friend says), haha. This is an upscale shopping mall in a very centralized location in Boston. The shops here are mostly high-end (Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Versace, Sant Laurent, Burberry, Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, Club Monaco) with some slightly less higher end stores like J.Crew, Victoria's Secret (semi-annual sale going on now!) and Banana Republic. There are many floors but only 3 (I think), with shops for the public. Everything is really spaced out and they don't really have many food options inside (only 2 that I saw: a seafood place and a sandwich/bakery shop). It lacks architectural interest inside and it isn't the liveliest of places in Boston. It was more a place I passed through to get away from the heat to and to use the restroom. Horrific waste of prime real estate in the heart of the city. Copley Place is completely out of touch with its biggest potential customer base--which are the THOUSANDS of commuters who pass through its halls every day, who ultimately buy their stuff at the Pru instead because Copley is just too absurd. Seriously who can even shop on the first floor?? It is a solid bank of empty luxury stores where bored employees and security guards just pace around waiting for people to come in. Half the time stores close and reopen as other stores that are ALREADY THERE in the mall but just want to move two doors down! For what, to face a different empty store across the hall?? Mall equivalent of flyover territory, just for walking through to get where you need to go. read more

An upscale area that is quite clean and sparkly - complete with a large water fountain, this location hosts parties like the Catwalk for Cancer and stores that anchor this location tend to be on the trendier, more expensive side. Stores close early (8pm), but at least is connected to a couple hotels and has restaurants within the mall open slightly later. Reminds me of a smaller version of Short Hills Mall or similar upscale malls. Good walking space, but I didn't really see a lot of shoppers here during the day. Loved my visit to Copley Place last week. I figured...if I was going to shop on Black Friday, I was NOT going to go to Best Buy, Kohl's, Target...etc...you get the picture. Instead, I chose Copley Place as I figured it wouldn't be as crowded...and I was right. I showed up early, grabbed a latte and walked around. I tried on clothes without a crowd at Neiman Marcus and Barneys (alas, none of the deals were quite good enough...) and stopped in at a bunch of other stores. It was quite fun and quite relaxed. Buy something and you get validated parking for $10! Good deal! It's also walkable from Newberry street in case you want to brave the crowds there.... read more

Very pretty mall with lots of upscale shops. Most places aren't affordable for most (think Gucci, Armani, Coach, Christian Dior), but lots of opportunity for window shopping. There are a few really cute stores hidden around too like Point A Luggage and Gifts which has really cute little bowls, toys, and knick-knacks. Beautiful waterfall and a small movie theater. Everyone will be wearing really nice or trendy clothes, so dress accordingly if you don't want to feel out of place. Tip: It's really closeby to Newbury St., so it makes for a nice day to start at the Pru or Copley (which are connected), and walk over to Newbury for the rest of the day. Copley place is extremely nice. It is clean and very nice to walk around. What's cool is that you have access to the Westin and to Prudential Center from here. This shopping center mainly has high end retail stores such as Armani, Neiman Marcus, etc, etc, but there are some great "regular" shops such as bath & body works, banana republic and victoria's secret. read more

This mall is a beautiful place to walk around and hang out. There is a good selection of food in the mall to choose from. I will say this mall is Not for your average joe. It is an expensive mall with designer shops and more upscale cliental. Had a great time walking around and browsing. Def worth a check, you can catch some sales. read more
