Back Bay area - Upscale mall with offices, businesses, restaurants, shopping and more. Cut through the mall if the weather is bad. Lots of parking for the local vicinity. Some shops not open all that early (Chase for instance) but it is nice that you can walk through at 6a to get to various businesses on either side of the block. read more

This is a huge and fancy mall! Most of the shops are over priced, excluding some of the cheap dining options like Dunkin or Shake Shack. We spent a good amount of our afternoon out just exploring it! We came here to go to View Boston, not realizing that it was a mall/shopping center. It was heavily raining on this day (our first day of being in Boston) so we ended up hanging out at the mall after we did an activity at View Boston. There are a lot of shops and restaurants to suit any need here. You could find almost anything you need, at the price point you want. I appreciated the signage, as the place is very large and there are multiple halls with different stores. By the time we had to leave, the signage helped us get to our ride share easily. There was also a good amount of benches if you needed a rest from all the walking around. It may be a bit busy to find it a "calm" rest, but a rest is a rest and the people watching is primo. Would definitely come back when in town again. read more

I love shopping at the Prudential Center! It's an indoor shopping mall located in Back Bay that is connected to Copley Place, where you'll find more premium brands. But on this side of the mall, you'll find popular clothing stores like Aritzia, Lululemon, Oak+Fort, Alo, Buck Mason, Canada Goose, Dick's House of Sport, Mackage, Sak's 5th Ave, and more! Many restaurants in here too, that have some pretty delicious food! I love the Descendant Detroit Style Pizza spot near Sak's, Earl's Kitchen + Bar for drinks, Eataly which has casual food options like pizza slices or can dine upstairs at Terra, and CAVA, Sweetgreen, & Clover Lab for quick bites. Here, you are also able to purchase tickets from ViewBoston, to go up to the 360° observation deck to see Boston's beautiful skyline! They are open 10am-10pm daily. ViewBoston has now replaced the old Top of the Hub restaurant that was once here (I MISS IT SOOO MUCH BTW) on the 52nd floor. In with the new, out with the old! Lifetime Gym is also a new addition to Prudential Center, which is great since BSC (Boston Sports Club) has closed. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't yet! We stayed at the Marriott Boston Copley Place and was able to walk here through the bridge. The Pru is a mixed-use center with many stores, restaurants, and offices. It is the second largest building in Boston with 52 floors with over 60,000 visitors per day. At one of the stores, View Boston, you can pay $24.99 pp to ride up the elevator to the 50th-52nd floor to get a 360 view of Boston. There are parking garages, just make sure you bring the ticket with you to get it validated by one of the stores. The T is also nearby for easy transportation access. This place is seriously in a convenient location and walkable to any of the popular landmarks. On Saturday, I started my morning with a latte from Blue Bottle then brunch at Eataly. This place is huge and busy, definitely a tourist destination. I felt safe walking here during the day and night, since there were security everywhere. We did notice some mice in the evening near the garden area; looks like they have a colony there and escaping the cold? If you get bored, you can cross the bridge and go to Copley Mall, Yard House, Starbucks, or outside. There is also an open green space with seating and a water fountain in the middle of the center. I don't think you will be bored! Overall, we had a great stay in the hotel connected to this place. read more

This is a place that I love to go. The lobby is filled with high end shops and nice restaurants. Then we decided to go to the top deck that you can see the whole Boston City and the surrounding area and bridges and water ways. There was a 20 min wait to go in to ride the elevator to the 53rd floor. We were there before sunset so we got to see the beauty of sunset on the city. It's a 360 view and we happen to come on a Thursday and it's not that full. Upstairs they also have several restaurants. But the view at 360 degree is amazing, inspiring and just beautiful. After sunset , you can see all the street lights and Christmas lights and the lights in the bridges and the city. So mesmerizing. On the 50th floor, you can go to an artwork of a replica of the Boston city going through series of seasonal & weather cycle. We really enjoyed this adventure. We will come back again. read more

Ralph Lauren looked nice and high end, but the experience wasn't great. The store was relatively small and a little confusing. For example, there were no signs for the men's and women's sections. Some of the neon colors were too much and weren't pleasing to look at. Customer service was not very helpful either, I was just told I was in the wrong section without being shown where to go, the store was nice and clean though and was well lit but not very welcoming read more

I stayed at the Sheraton Boston recently and this mall is attached to it. The mall features many restaurants and stores and is slightly on the higher-end, with Saks, etc. Nice selection of places to eat and shop and it was clean and seemed decent on the days I went. read more

10-23-2022 A serendipitous find from a miscommunication brought us here. Perhaps when I asked directions I should have said North End instead of Little Italy. Anyways 3 people directed me to Eataly instead. It was a fun misdirection as the Prudential stop is right next door. This is nicer than our Kahala Mall in Honolulu. It is an indoor Mall, huge and perfect for a Sunday jaunt for families. We actually got to people watch while trying to figure out where we were. A safe, clean, high end place to be lost in. If restaurants and shops are your thing, why not get lost in here. read more

Saw a small mouse this morning (1/14/2026 at around 9am) running out of Laderach chocolate store this morning. It ran across the hall and then squeezed under door of clothing store across the hall. I looked in the Laderach store (which was closed) and saw slabs of chocolate covered only by white paper. I guess the mouse likes the chocolate. read more

My parents live in the Boston area and I visit quite often. On a recent visit my friend asked me if we could go to the Prudential Center. Been there done that so many times in my life but ok. So the building is about 50 floors high and compared to Manhattan buildings, well there is no comparison being a NYC snob and defending my own area. The sky view at the prudential center is hands down the best view of the city. They took the old top of the hub and turned it into a bar/restaurant/interactive museum of Boston. I've been to the edge in New York and that's great but imo Boston's full experience is way better! The food at the bar is a snooze, they have something like pumpkin seeds, pretzels idk I looked and went to get food somewhere else lol. It's essential to Republican and Christian agendas, that there be some seriously anti-sex folks in power, even in a place like Massachusetts. In fact, especially here. They call this the "Prude Essential" to the furthering of the regressive cause. And this building is named after that concept, that necessity: The "Prude-essential Center", one of Boston's most iconic (and I guess, most conservative) buildings. Nah fam just jk. This has always been my favourite building in Boston, out of the skyscrapers at least. They're pretty modest compared to New York City, or even compared to where I am now (Houston ftw), but taken in and of itself, Boston has a pretty spectacular skyline, and the Prudential Building is one of the most instantly recognizable and gorgeous and beautifully crafted. And that's why I I visited it, and even managed to go to the top, on one of my first-ever days in America, as a 16 year old (what a baby), here by myself visiting from England (baby I tell you). It still remains one of the most gorgeous buildings in New England, and one of the nicest skyscrapers and most recognizable, despite the fact that there are buildings popping up around Boston that are seemingly bigger. I would continue this review, but it wouldn't be Prudent...shall we move on to the next one? read more

The Prudential Center is a major office and mall complex in Boston's renowned Back Bay. Websites list it as 23-acres which contains office buildings, hotels, restaurants, an upscale shopping mall, the Prudential office tower and the Hynes Convention Center. The Prudential Center also features the Prudential Skywalk, an observatory on the 51st floor, and Top of the Hub restaurant on the 52nd floor of the central tower. It is the second tallest building in Boston at 750 feet, behind the John Hancock which is 790 feet. It also offers indoor access to Copley Place (another office, hotel and mall complex) with is next to Copley Square, Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library. Around the corner from the Prudential Center is The Capital Grille, for anyone interested in upscale dining and a $60 steak. Though I haven't been to the Prudential Skywalk or the Top of the Hub restaurant in many years, the views of Boston were excellent from here. Instead of dinner, you can also opt to just grab a drink, and drink in the view at the Top of the Hub. read more

Meh. Just kind of so-so when it came to shops and options to shop. I think stores have moved to more of a Main Street location style now in Boston, and no longer interested in these mall-type shopping centers. There were some stores I went into - but overall they were just boring and small. Then at the one end of the center - which led into the Sheraton and/or the Convention Center, things were non-existent. Don't know - maybe it was just out of my wheelhouse, but it was cool there was a food area outside, and large stores like UA, Lord & Taylor (closing) and even a Tesla. read more

Who ever said malls were dying has never been to the upscale Prudential Center located in Back Bay downtown Boston. This thriving mall boast higher end shops such as Sak's 5th Avenue, lululemon, Microsoft and Vineyard Vines among many others. However their biggest claim to fame may be Eataly on the second floor. It's a kinda food court on steroids. It's a disservice to call it a food court since it's so much more and such a special place. The corridors were clean and the lighting bright from skylights. They have gorgeous landscaping inside with live trees. I never saw security but I'm sure they are around. They have a beautiful grassy courtyard in the center that's outside. No dogs allowed as signs are posted everywhere. This is actually a fabulous photo op, I took advantage. Come here and be surprised. Expect it to be jam packed with local and tourist alike. read more

Great place for shopping and eating. Located in the heart of Boston, easy to access by public transportation.

Having had the chance to spend the week working in town, I frequented the Pru all week long. For a quick lunch, there are a few good places here such as Anna's Taqueria, Eatlay, and for more fast casual dinning, there is the Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, and several other more formal dinning restaurants. Additionally, there is a Boston Sport Club on property (If I were working in town on a permanent basis I would consider becoming a member here again.) With the bridges that connect the Prudential to the Westin, and the Marriott, it makes getting around the shopping areas very easy without having to go outside and facing the cold winter weather. Beyond being a good place to come to get away from the weather and shopping around, its definitely a great area to bring that special someone and have a date night/ day. Okay, now with regards to areas for improvement. The parking is NUTS... First off, its really tight in there, so if you are driving a big car, be sure to take your time turning inside here. Additionally when the parking lot becomes over filled, they will begin to valet your car (At no charge) but will not post signs. This may not be such a big deal to people, but in my case, where I was on business and my car was filled with a lot of expensive electronics for work and I didn't have my valet key to lock up my equipment, it was a hard no with the valet, having me to pull back out of the lot and then having to call the help desk to let me out so that I would not be charged. (To the Pru...Please provide signs that you are taking valet when the lots are full, it would have saved me 45min of driving around in the garage not finding a spot, and then having a guy in a red jacket finally come flag me down to tell me that the lot is full and that I need to valet my car. Lastly, this area sees heavy foot traffic and needles to say, people need to use the restroom. I did not need to go to the bathroom, but as I passed the bathroom area, I could smell it. Being that I was heading to lunch, I can say that I was not hungry anymore after getting a whiff of the pungent oder coming from the restroom. (Please have staff check the conditions of the restrooms....That was gross.) read more

This is a must see and do if you come to Boston. When I was in college and medical school in the city I was here at least several times a week. It's a central location with lots of shops. We do much of our Christmas shopping here. There's a parking garage which is easily accessible and you can get your tickets validated for money off the parking fee. The stores are amazing. Between the girlfriend and myself we can do some damage! The mall area (actually the whole center) is very clean and easy to navigate. It houses Eataly if you want a bite to eat or get coffee. It also houses some smaller places for food or coffee. All are fine and priced well. You always feel safe, you'll notice visible security and they're friendly. There's also T access, and the building is easy to fine from anywhere in the city, just look up and you'll see it! read more

Anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue, they also have Ann Taylor, Kate Spade, lululemon, Polo/Ralph Lauran, Gucci. Even Eataly for eating is going to set you back a few good pennies. We walked up to this mall during a break from the convention center. It's connected to the hotels and has a good amount of shops and cafes to visit when you're in the area. I went to the Prudential Center because I was interested in going to their Skywalk Observatory which offers a 360 degree view of the city of Boston from high up on their 50th floor. I walked around and noticed the mall was pretty dead when we went but had plenty of stores and restaurants. Place is definitely high end, and had a hotel on site (The Mandarin Oriental hotel) and even has a chapel on site. The observatory, though, is a bit underwhelming compared to other cities views but I will be talking about that in another review of the observatory. read more

I always thought this was just a financial building but it actually has a bunch of nice and upper scale stores like Aritzia, allbirds, Madewell, etc. Very nice mall with some food options too. On a cold and windy day this was the perfect escape. It offered a fabulous view in an enclosed space. The elevator ride up was quick. The signage to get to the elevator was easy but since it was a low crowd day I almost felt like we were walking in closed off areas. When we got upstairs I saw the cashier booth and headed over. We paid and were on our way in quickly. They offered us free audio tours but I never pay attention with those when I am in an area where the signage is in English. We started our walk around and observe all the sights. Some we recognized because we had visited them already but some were something we needed the signs to understand and place. I always try to visit some sort of vista / viewpoint when I visit a new city. I like to do it early in the trip or late in the trip. That way I can get the lay of the land - before or after I explore it from ground level. This is one of the best ones because its protected from the elements. Winter. Summer. Spring. Fall. Any season this is an awesome stop. read more

This is one of my very favorite shopping centers and I love that I live so close to it. It is kind of a ritzy mall with Sak's Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor as it's anchor stores. They also have L'Occitane, White House Black Market, Sunglass Hut, Sephora and many other great stores here. I could spend hours at this mall since it has a lot of my favorites in it. There are also several eateries here such as California Pizza Kitchen, Anna's Taqueria, The Cheesecake Factory and Au Bon Pain just to name a few of them. If you live in Boston or are here visiting, definitely stop by this mall. read more

April2023:4: I would recommend this location. I was visiting the area at my parents home and decided to walk when I left the local hospital to get some fresh air. I came upon this mall and decided to go in and see what was inside and shop. There is a parking garage adjacent to this complex and one underneath that seems to be a little expensive for 2 hours of shopping. Would set you back about 40 bucks. Fortunately, I was walking and did not have a vehicle. There are really nice stores in this mall area. All of the floors were clean and shiny. I noticed that in between some of the areas there were benches to sit down and relax after walking within this mall. I took a minute to step out into the underside parking garages which were well lit and labeled to be able to access the interior of the mall. When returning from the parking garage, I stopped by the restrooms. I was a little bit disgusted. Scratch that...a lot. Disgusted The floor was sticky. That was trash everywhere. Not what I would have thought I would find in such a nice facility. This is definitely loss of one star. read more
