Artistic Beauty! this is another hidden gem i found during a random drive to Boston. an alley full of color and creativity. its only small and can easily be missed. take a few moments to witnesd the graffiti and artwork from all walks of life. anyone can come here and add their work. only $2 for 2 hours of parking out back behind central kitchen which is right on the side of the alley. if you have free time go here, pretty cool to see.

Ask the Community - Central Square

Hi. I'm moving from London to Boston/Cambridge. We want to be central to city life and access to good public transportation and public schools. Is this a good /safe area to live with a young family? We are looking at Church Corner apartments?

For the most part Central Square has gentrified for the better. While other suburbs nearby might have better schooling but you get access to the city and the Boston area is very close by. In terms of schooling, sites like Redfin can give you… Read more

The whole atmosphere is cold, not inviting and boring. No distinction, character or charm. Before there used to be. Under better prior management I presume. Removing the iconic waterfall? Big mistake. It was elegantly paved with small penny fountains. It was timeless. This urge to just nuke what was beloved to make everything look like a clinical and soulless hallway. All employees at almost every store are glued to their phone and not present at all to customers. You don't make money that way. Even the joke of security guards are glued to their phones outside Gucci. What a joke. In unpredictable and trying times like these, inflation isn't going anywhere and high end stores need to actually try. It was never this catered to the 1%. You could actually go to a restaurant or store and not feel like you've been robbed and facing a debt to pay off for a year. Management can waste their breath saying that Copley was simply updated to keep up with trends. Well, you failed. There's no heart, hardly any selection, all classic architectural which features attracted people from all over the world - destroyed where you do not know where you are. What once was a place of wonderment, excitement and to spark your Christmas Spirit, is now simply a drain of disappointment as you go home with a sigh. Management - you don't have to bother responding. You obviously made decisions to destroy the good made by top notch engineers. It's too late. Sad.

Restaurants cater to the bio-tech industry = higher prices D. The T isn't close and buses rarely pass through. Parking is available at a garage, probably your best bet on a busy night. E. There are great restaurants and bars, and nightlife is FINALLY increasing! So WHY walk a half mile from the Kendall T Stop in a direction you're pretty sure is leading you to nowhere? Here are 10 respectable reasons involving food and at least one non-food related ... Amelia's Not actually IN 1 Kendall Sq, but only a block south on Portland Street. Italian. Small, intimate. Pricey, but tasty. Atasca For Portugese fine dining just beyond Emma's about 500 ft. Outdoor seating. The Beantown Coffeehouse Open on weekdays, but not late. Good muffins, coffee, sandwiches (of the breakfast and lunch type) Beauty's Pizza Take-out pizza, doughy and tasty, loaded toppings. Not IN the square, but not far... Bon Me Yeah, you know that food truck? It has claimed space here, too. Cafe du Pays Cambridge Brewing Company (CBC) Fresh brewed beer by CBC and food. Outdoor seating. But on this side of the mall, you'll find popular clothing stores like Aritzia, Lululemon, Oak+Fort, Alo, Buck Mason, Canada Goose, Dick's House of Sport, Mackage, Sak's 5th Ave, and more! Many restaurants in here too, that have some pretty delicious food! I love the Descendant Detroit Style Pizza spot near Sak's, Earl's Kitchen + Bar for drinks, Eataly which has casual food options like pizza slices or can dine upstairs at Terra, and CAVA, Sweetgreen, & Clover Lab for quick bites. Here, you are also able to purchase tickets from ViewBoston, to go up to the 360° observation deck to see Boston's beautiful skyline! They are open 10am-10pm daily. ViewBoston has now replaced the old Top of the Hub restaurant that was once here (I MISS IT SOOO MUCH BTW) on the 52nd floor. In with the new, out with the old! Lifetime Gym is also a new addition to Prudential Center, which is great since BSC (Boston Sports Club) has closed. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't yet! There's many entrances & honestly serves as a GREAT shortcut if you're coming from Huntington Ave & trying to get over to Newbury St.
