You can even see the chocolate maker at work through the glass window overlooking the kitchen. The owner greeted us with class and kindness, telling us about the formulation of the chocolate and intricacies about the ingredients. You may sample a chocolate or two as well. We ended up buying the Biscoff-covered chocolate balls and the chocolate skulls. Colette was a very special and curated chocolate experience that I highly recommend.

We visited on a weekend so we didn't get to see production in action and we could only see the machinery through the windows. Despite it all, I learned a lot and was engaged throughout. I have personally spent a lot of time in Oaxaca and was intrigued to learn about Taza's origin. And the best part was the tasting of course! There were tastes along the way and basically an opportunity to try anything and everything at the end! A couple standouts: lemon cookie and the 95% dark with ginger (you wouldn't even realize you are eating that level of dark chocolate).

The service was great and the person helping me let me try a couple different flavors before I got my cup. The gelato itself was refreshing and not too sweet. There's also a small seating area near the door and I was able to sit down and enjoy my gelato. The one downside of this location is that they seem to run out of flavors. I'm not sure if it was just the tjme of day, but they didn't have a lot of the more popular flavors like mango, pistachio, and stracciatella. Would definitely have to come back and try the other flavors

You can either grab pre-packed bags or build your own by choosing a bag size and picking from their selection. I focused on the sour options and tried almost everything (except the caramel bon bons). I also really enjoyed the sour lemon triangles, passion fruit S-marks, and both the sour mango dynamites and watermelon Rambos, which were especially unique. It's definitely a bit pricey, but the quality and flavors make it worth it, and it's hard not to keep snacking. I'm already tempted to go back for another bag before I leave. It sits comfortably on the corner of JFK and Winthrop Street, right in the midst of Harvard Square. Which figures because this place is bougie as hell! Just the same, we're eternally grateful to have met its acquaintance. Because this place is the real deal when it comes to macarons. Ya know how some grocery stores sell macarons in a box or something? Yeah, those are basically the generic version compared to the ones sold here. These ones are on another level entirely! We got the variety pack, of course. And so far, my top two personal favorite flavors are the Tiramisú and Chocolate Amorino. The experience tasting these is impossible to describe in words worthy enough to dignify. Let's just say....it's enough to ascend your consciousness into low orbit. The process of ordering is simple enough or strangely foreign (no pun intended), depending on if you're a Zoomer or a Boomer, respectively. They use kiosks. Exclusively. It's a little weird, because there is what appears to be a main register with people standing behind it. Only their main task is to prepare your order and call out your name once it's ready. This is better, IMHO because talking to people is hard (sometimes). I dunno what it is. But most times, it seems easier to get the details of an order right when it's neatly selected and typed out on a screen. Besides, tap-to-pay is where it's at. Oh, and for those of you who are wondering what Gelato is, it's a specific type of Italian ice cream. Without getting into the exact percentages of the various lactose components it's made of, that's the simplest way I can explain it. *Obligatory disclaimer: I am not an ice creamologist. I think this is gonna be our dessert spot whenever we venture back to Cambridge. And next time, I am SO getting my own 12 pack of macarons with my two favorite flavors in it. No doubt about it, Amorino Gelato is worth 5 creamy Tiramisú macarons transcending my cortex beyond the stratosphere out of 5.
