I've been a big fan of Tero's for years, probably dining here at least once a month. Having recently moved to Lyndhurst it's now within walking distance, Tero's has become a once a week spot. I can usually be found at the bar. It's the kind of spot that the locals and repeat customers frequent. There's always friendly conversation to be had with the staff and other like minded diners. The drinks are very reasonably priced, most at $10. There's an all day happy hour menu, not enormous but some good bar bites. Shrinkflation?! Not here. Portions are very generous and I don't think the prices have gone up in years. Most people will go home with leftovers. On a recent visit we ordered the Chicken Pot Pie special. Not only was it delicious, it could've fed at least 2 people ($22) My go-to is the Ribeye with Hot Cherry Peppers. Always a beautiful plate of deliciousness. If you love Spanish/Portuguese food, no need to drive down neck- Tero's has got you covered. BTW, down miss an Espresso Martini for a nightcap. Seriously one of the best I've ever tried!

I was visiting the area from out of town and happened upon Tero's accidentally. The very first thing I noticed when entering was that it was a Friday night prime dinner time... and there was only one other occupied table in the entire restaurant. I also want to note that the decor is very formal and stuffy with thick white table cloths. I also did not enjoy the food whatsoever. I got the chicken cutlets dinner with garlic sauce. The chicken was thicker than I expect for a cutlet and it was soggy and slimy. Both the rice and vegetables were bland and those are the two sides that come with most entrees at the restaurant. If I lived in the area, I would absolutely choose to cook my own food before spending money on the food at Tero's. Additionally, their food prices are extremely high due to giving you ridiculously massive portions. I would have appreciated the option to get a smaller portion for a cheaper price, because three whole chicken cutlets just seems excessive to me. The one star with this review is to shoutout the great service staff at Tero's. When I expressed not liking my food they tried to ask if there was anything they could do to help. They were as kind and understanding as possible.

One of my family's top restaurants to go to together, everybody's always happy with their meal and the service! I love the salmon with yellow rice, potatoes, and veggies! Drinks are always good too.

Sirloin Portuguese style steak topped with smoked ham and eggs!!! AMAZING

Our cousins brought us here and we were not disappointed!!!! The food was delicious!!! All the dishes were so flavorful, the grilled octopus was perfection and our steaks were perfectly cooked and also wonderfully flavored! The establishment was spotless and service was impeccable ! Thank you for a wonderful experience.... Oh and the espresso and desserts were a great way to end our amazing meal!!!! P.S. there is no way you could ever give this establishment less than five stars!!!

Always a great meal. Lunch specials are fantastic! Had steak with egg with vegetables. Finished with a cappuccino! Service was fast and always inviting.

    Paella Valenciana

After reading a few of the most recent comments, I was extremely hesitant about coming here. Nevertheless, I had such a craving for paella, I decided to roll the dice. To start off with, we ordered the fried calamari. My wife is always nervous with this item when we go out because it's either really good or really bad. This was really good. Not chewy at all and obviously fresh. I had to ask for another side of marinara but that's minor. The paella was excellent. Completely satisfied my craving. The portion was huge and this is coming from someone that can eat. I took a little less then half home. I got the paella Valenciana. Over loaded with seafood and chicken. My wife got the skirt steak and she said it was very good. I didn't try it, so this small segment is hearsay. To accompany our meal, we had a pitcher of sangria. The sangria was average. We've had better but it definitely wasn't one of the lower rung sangrias we've had. Service was on point. Very attentive and accommodating. I know there's a lot of negatives posted on here, but our experience was completely the opposite. Definitely on their A game when we were there.

What a hidden Gem!! At first you walk in and the restaurant looks antiquated and definitely needs a facelift but you soon forget about it when food comes out The food is full of flavor and the portions are huge so be ready to eat and still have leftovers to take home We had lobster bisque Octopus which was amazing and really want to know what was in the sauce... a hint of spiciness but not over the top We had the Delmonico steak and lobster tail w crab meat for lunch although the steak was a little fatty it was delicious and to be fair the waiter did warn me about the fat Overall amazing little spot and will definitely be back

Very nice flavor with a light garlic and olive oil taste that did not overwhelm the shrimp - rib eye : simply seasoned that really let the meat flavor rise. Rum: they had Zacapa 23 year. A good recommendation to sip along with a tremendous meal. One note: the medium rare was closer to black and blue, and the medium was closer to medium rare. It may depend on the chef, but if you are between temp levels, take the over. I could have come here for dinner every night and been very happy. Plenty of amazing looking items on the menu.

The bread came out first, nice and warm, which was a great start to the meal. We ordered the empanadas, and the meat was delicious, though they definitely could have used a sauce on the side. I also got the soup, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, my main dish lacked flavor. The portion size was good about six pieces but it just didn't have much seasoning. Oddly enough, the onions were the best part of the plate. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and service, and I'd come back to try the seafood next time.

Lovely restaurant in Clifton on a busy street. . Had limited parking on the side of the restaurant but we were lucky to get a spot. Very deceiving from outside. But it has a lovely ambience and plenty of seating n nicely decorated .was v busy. friendly welcoming staff. The complimentary bread though not warm was really really good w butter. The Cesar salad was good n huge portion. Tasted v good. Had the sapatiera-never heard of it before n googled n found it interesting. So ordered it. It's real crab meat mashed up w a savory creamy mixture of egg mayonnaise mustard pickles n beer (not sure of beer) n served inside crab shell. Came w crab claws too. Delicious is understatement. Out of this world. Reminded me growing up back in my country our cook used to make it for us. For entrees we had the cod/ bacalhau taverna. Was fried cod w seafood n peppers in a v tasty tomato sauce. Unbelievably good. Came w house potato chips Also had the deep fried red snapper . That was crispy n tasted good too. We had to try some of the many deserts they had - settled on cinnamon rice pudding n the mango cheese cake . So good n generous portions. Took a doggy bag home n will enjoy it tonite for dinner. Thank you for a great dinner, Will be back soon as there were some other entrees that we would love to try

Yucca Soup interesting like chicken noodle minus noodles and add yucca hehehe Octopus/Squid/Shrimp Salad delicious and a large plate, so much food.
