We're in January but I am still soaking up all the holiday decorations during dinner while I can! We came to Tejo for dinner and it was decked out in red for the holidays :) For food, we shared the shrimp with garlic sauce and chorizo. It's a must have if you ask me - we order it every time we go! For dinner, I ordered from the specials and had the filet Mignon steak with shrimp and cheese. It was a little odd having the melted cheese but I didn't mind it! Of course, their meals come with a side of rice, vegetables and potato chips. Food, drinks and service are consistently good here so I'll be back soon!

Went here to celebrate someone's birthday. We arrived early so we decided to get drinks at the bar. The bar was packed so we sat a a bar table instead. The bartender was trying to help squeeze us in at the bar which was nice but we were content at the bar table. Drinks were pretty strong. When we transitioned over to the dining area we ordered a bunch of red and white sangrias for the table. They were so good but they weren't weak. Had us all feeling nice. The appetizers were delicious! When the entrees came out they were were HUGE! One entree could easily feed two or even three people! Everything was on point! Glad we got invited to this because now we plan on coming back on our own.

The appetizers were good (stuffed mushrooms, sausage, and clams). I had the paella marinera and my friend had the salmon with the lemon sauce. Mine was a little on the salty side but good and she kept raving about the salmon. I'll definitely have that in the future.

The food is good and the drinks are great. I always have a good time when visiting with my family. The paella Valenciana is worth every penny.

I got together with a friend to get some food and drinks. When I arrived I found parking nearby on the street. I walked into a very live bar and grill. I was lucky to find seats at the bar because it was super busy. Fraceli was our bartender, and she was nice. I started with the red sangria mini pitcher, and it was very good. For my meal, I got the whole red snapper. It did take quite a while for it to come out because they said it takes time for the snapper to prep. When it came out, it looked good. I dug in, and it was good, but I did have to add some salt because it was a little bland. The potatoes and mixed vegetables were good. The bill was really decent. All in all I had a good experience!

Came here for a repast lunch. We ordered from the regular menu. The food is good and they obviously have a happening bar vibe in the evenings. Prices are reasonable and service was good considering we were at least 20 people. There were some hits and misses on some of the dishes but overall a good experience.

Visited this restaurant for dinner and I ordered the red sangria and grilled red snapper and stuffed mushrooms. The red sangria was good but the snapper was bland and the mushrooms were average!!! My bf ordered the grilled stuffed lobster tails which was also bland. Pro : good red sangria Con : food & street parking

Night cap only. I don't know the food. We came after the restaurant closed. The bar service was quick and the drinks were well made. They had a DJ that played a variety of music. A great place to have some drinks and hear great music.

    Sangria Pitcher $21 Amazing!!!

I chose the Lemon & Herb flavor for one and the Medium spice for the other. It took a little while for the food to come out, but it was worth the wait. The chicken had a nice grilled and roasted flavor, and it was juicy throughout. The Lemon & Herb had great flavor, while the Medium spice had a nice little kick to it. I also ordered a large Peri Fries ($5.95). They were lightly battered, seasoned with peri salt, and crispy on the outside. Solid fries that I really enjoyed. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, and the BOGO deal made it an even better value. I would recommend this place if you're looking for tasty grilled chicken with plenty of flavor.

Bar staff had drinks in front of us in less than the time it took to figure out what appetizers we wanted. Now let's talk about the food. In SoFla we have a saying for things that can't really be described. We say SOFA KING, the food was SOFA KING, the service was SOFA KING, the people and atmosphere was SOFA KING. Do yourself a favor, sit at the bar have a conversation with the locals and enjoy food that is made by people that actually care about the product leaving the kitchen.

I immediately brought the issue to the waiter's attention, yet no one from management came over to speak with me or apologize for what happened. What was even more disappointing was that I was not offered another meal or given the opportunity to order something else. When a customer is served food that is clearly unacceptable, I would expect management to take the situation seriously, check on the customer, apologize, and make an effort to correct it. Unfortunately, none of that happened. The food itself was bad enough, but the lack of concern and customer service afterward made the experience even worse. I expected much more from this restaurant.

We were seated quickly and our server Hugo promptly came over to take our order and was very attentive all night. We started with the Crab meat stuffed portobello, which was terrific. Would have liked it without the creamy cheese on top (not sure what kind it was)... but only because as much as I LOVE cheese... it loves me too much back. ;-) My wife was going for the Mariscada in green sauce, but after she asked "what's your favorite?" Hugo said she should try a Seafood special with rice that was enormous, served in a very nice Le Creuset style pot. (Lobster, shrimp, with and without heads, clams, calamari, mussels in an excellent sauce.) I ordered the roasted short ribs (slow roasted with potatoes and broccoli rabe) that also was huge. I'll be finishing that up today! We had to try their Pastel da Nata, a Portuguese signature dessert that we enjoyed almost every day in Portugal. This is a tavern, so no BYO. Oh, and I suggest you come early. Almost no one around 5:30 - 6, but by the time we left, it was getting really busy. Looking for an excuse to stop in again soon.

For us, a bit of a hit-and-miss experience: steak very good, paella - not as good. Given that both types of dishes are staples at Portuguese restaurants , we were a bit surprised. Worth another visit? Yes - want to try their other paella to learn if maybe this was just a fluke experience tonight.

The restaurant was very busy, so we did have to remind the waiters a few times about our food, which is understandable. Food: The bread was fresh, warm, and delicious. The first round of calamari was hot, crispy, and really good, although the second serving seemed reheated and had lost its crunch. The biggest issue was the entrees -- our group waited about an hour for them to arrive - minus one star. In the meantime, we kept receiving bread and calamari, so everyone was already getting full by the time the main dishes came. The beef was cooked medium-rare but was unfortunately very tough and not tender - minus one star. The pork was much better and very tender. The seafood rice was really good, especially the delicious clams and mussels. Unfortunately, it arrived so late that the group was already full and couldn't enjoy as much of it. The sangria was also good. Atmosphere: The restaurant was especially lively on the weekend, and it was great to see the place so full. A busy old fashioned dining room is always a good sign and shows that the restaurant has built a strong reputation.
