I have been getting bug bites all over my body for about a month and finally decided to call Terminix. I was displeased that the operator couldn't answer my question but they did transfer my information to management who answered all my questions and really made me feel like my situation was important. He sent me an inspector named Nathan to check for bed bugs and although there was absolutely no signs of bed bugs, he did his best to reach hard places to find them. I was very skeptical to even call an exterminator because I felt like they were all scammers, but Nathan was very honest in telling me that he doesn't know what's biting me and to advise me and for that I am grateful. The only reason I didn't give the fifth star was because my mind is still not at ease because I have no answers, however, I will definitely call Nathan again if I have any more problems. read more

Signed up for new plan and scheduled interior and exterior inspection. They called the night before to confirm the 8-10am window. Next day, they never showed up and after spending 30 min with customer service, finally got manager who said they can't be there today. Very unprofessional. Total waste of time and money. read more

I had high hopes for these folks since they are a big name. I should have read these reviews first because I had some of the same horrible experiences with them. Made an appointment for a tech to come out after the initial inspection. I was given a 4 hour window between 1-5 PM. I drove down to our rental property and waited for 4 hours . Tech. was a no show. I called office and lady told me this had never happened and management would call me "in the next few days for sure". No call from management. Instead, I have a voice mail saying this tech, Devin, who was leaving the message would be out later that day. Nothing was scheduled. Then he left another message later saying he wouldn't be there that day due to a flat tire. I call Devin back and tell him we had nothing scheduled for that day so then he says, "now you have me on the phone so tell me what day and time will work for you and I will be there". I told him that Thursday at 10 AM. He said "perfect". I will see you then". I repeated the 10 AM meet time and address. Thursday comes I get in the car and drive down to San Rafael to meet at 10 and he is a no show again. I called him at 10:25 and he tells me he will be there soon. He is on Hwy 37. I told him I was extremely frustrated since we had a meeting time at 10. I told him to cancel the appointment. I was moving on to someone else. I then get a recorded call from the office confirming my next appointment. I HAD NO NEXT APPOINTMENT! I wait on the line 10 minutes just to officially cancel again. Two days later Devin, the Tech., says he will be out for my service that afternoon. What the hell!! I can't get rid of these losers. I call office again to confirm I canceled a few days earlier. They do confirm they have that documented. Well, the tech shows up anyway and does some loser treatment which I end up going back to and undoing. I call the office again furious. She helps me and promises there will be no charge. The next week I get a bill in the mail. SERIOUSLY, I can't shake these folks. Another call to the office to confirm I will be paying nothing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Oh, and by the way, I called Marin Pest Control and he came out on time. No 4 hour window. Did inspection and found no current termite action. We had a rat problem and called Terminix to come out to our house. The gentleman on the phone arranged for a service man to come out to our house today between 5:00 & 7:00. He said the technician would call before he came to say he was on his way. We waited until 7:15, at which time my husband said forget it, let's go to Home Depot & get some traps. I called Terminix to tell them what had happened. The customer service representative said there were no notes in my account as to why the guy didn't show up just that he didn't do anything. She said normally she would transfer me to a lot local office on Piner Rd., but they are already closed. I told her no need I just wanted to make them aware that nobody ever showed up or called. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not use this agency - you will be disappointed and will soon move on to a level of frustration unknown to you before! I have a home warranty - so my home warranty company (who are great by the way) will call the services I need - the service will in turn call me and I have always received that service in 3 or 4 days. But Terminix couldn't be bothered to call me for a week - so I called them but they said they had no record of the request and that my warranty co. must not have their latest fax number - so I got the fax no. and called the warranty co. back.... This went on for 4 calls to my warranty co. and my warranty co. called Terminix 4 times and sent them 2 faxes! We even had a conference call with "Katrina" just to make sure we were all on the same page...but no...Terminix still couldn't pull it together for a MONTH! Why couldn't I get another pest control company - you might ask....well because Terminix has paid the warranty co. to be their exclusive pest service - so we were locked in. A month later Mr. Personality from Terminix shows up at my door - 3 hours later than the 4 hour window I was given...I paid him by check as I am supposed to do (pay at the time of service) well those idiots then sent me a bill! I called and explained that I paid at the time of service...the Terminix rep said they have no record of the check - so they will have to pull Mr. Personality's paperwork for that day and see if it got lost....THEN she had the balls to say "but you should stop payment on the check and send us another one"....Are you kidding me!? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Had a terminix free inspection on a less than 1000 sq ft cottage that stated there were subterranean termites and an estimate for $1600 (no tenting involved)!!!! Got a second opinion from Aardvark and low an behold they said I did not have any termites. This company is way over priced and has questionable ethics. if you do get an estimate from them, be sure to get a second opinion and an undoubtedly a less outrageously expensive rom someone else. read more

This is probably one star too many!!! The one day guarantee or money back that plays over and over on their recording while you wait patiently on the phone to speak with a human being is a CROCK!!! My quarterly service was done on 6/1/12 for ants and I have had Terminix back 4 times and still have ants. I have asked to speak with a manager twice and to date, no call back. I have them coming back today, I think, and this will be the last chance for them. I will use another service before I go through any more frustrating situations with their total lack of service and follow-up. read more

I used this company for 1 year. My rat situation (neighbors have a shed that houses numerous rodents) did not improve. I actually did this against my better judgement but was desperate. They use horrid chemicals that will kill owls who eat the rats that are poisoned. I regret it and will let the owls do their job (if there are any left)! They still have not picked up the traps after I called them. read more

Don't ever go with these guys. They put a hole in my stamped concrete a year ago and up to now has not fixed it. They hired a general contractor who told me he did not have much experience with stamped concrete and left me with an 8"x8" square of white patch. They suck and when they leave a message that their field tech is coming over on a certain day they want you to drop everything and expect you to be there, if you have a conflict, they send them out anyway and tell you it was done. One time i watched their field rep and all he did was talked on the phone and when I reported it to them the rep came back to me pissed off. We used Terminix for a year with success. After adopting two cats, however, we discontinued service, and requested to have the traps removed. Four times we asked, even after one of the kittens died from possibly ingesting a poisoned mouse. They were quick to get things going, but totally unresponsive on the back end. read more

I'm an office manager, so I'm aware of how a competent company runs. And this is not one. Just trying to call and schedule an inspection was a pain. I was hung up on TWICE by the girl who answered the phone. When I called back the sencond time she tried to tell me it was someone else who hung up on me. I just talked to you 5 seconds ago, I remember your voice! Then the inspection guy Mitch showed up to our business a DAY LATE. Then I had to follow up with him TWICE just to get the inspection report. He never did call me back, a non-reply email just showed up in my inbox with the inspection report attached (3 weeks after the initial inspection). All the info on the report was wrong, the reason we called and what he found wasn't even mentioned in the report. Roaches are a big deal! That should probably be noted! So I tried to call a manager to figure out the contract since it came with no direction of how to execute it or what our service would be, and again, I get hung up on. And then when I do get someone to answer and ask for a manager I'm given the run around and an inqusition of questions, and then put on hold for 5 min. Well apparently the manager was out (who was she talking to for 5 min?), and he would have to call me back. Still no call.... Forget it. I'll take my business elsewhere.
