I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews for the Santa Rosa/Petaluma office, because my experiences have all been excellent. My ant problem has been persistent, but Orkin keeps coming out to solve the problem. Everyone I've worked with in this office has been professional, courteous, communicative and genuinely interested in solving the problem. I recommend them. We had Orkin come for a rodent problem. After they set traps, we ended up seeing more signs than before. They didn't do a thorough inspection and weren't going to do check under the house. We canceled and asked for a refund since they have a "satisfaction guaranteed policy. They don't respond to my calls or emails. we ended up doing all the work and managed to take care of it. read more

Orrin is the WORST They r fast to come out when they want their 300 for their initial visit then good luck getting them back. appoints r scheduled by Orkin and then cancelled the day of the visit. Could not recommend less. They promised me a discounted rate, showed the rate on my receipt then billed me the full amount. Called and they apologized and said they'd refund the difference. The next month no refund but they tried to offer me a partial credit. I said if you can't give me the deal I was promised cancel my account. They said I had a zero balance as the over charge covered the next month and that they would cancel my account no problem. Then I get a call today saying I'm behind a month and I owe them more money. I call back and they say they will have a manager call me to confirm the cancelation Monday, exactly what they said last time and he never called or canceled my account. Completely unsatisfied. Never showed up, one scheduler did not see us on the schedule another scheduler did see us on the schedule. Got a call later that day tech could come out next day, then when I texted him pic of Hornets he called back to say he doesn't do Hornet problems, "he will have a general pest control guy call me", never got a call. Used them since late 2021, started out strong but over the past year they have become extremely unreliable. We paid up front for Bi-monthly service, they stopped showing up, no callers, or any explanation. After calling them we were told they had "bunch" of technicians leave and were behind in work. We told them we paid up front and now how insects in the house they said they would get us on the schedule...When asked why were were not on the schedule, they explained they were focusing on new clients first. It took about a month for them to send someone over. The service record shows they sprayed and applied granuels, which is a lie. I was home during the service and the tech only sweep off spider webs. So this company gradely takes your money, does not honor their own contract and lies to their customers. read more

We called yesterday, on the 4th of July holiday, knowing we wouldn't get service, but we wanted to set up service for today because of a very invasive and unexpected ant invasion. Carly at the local branch assured us that we would get a call first thing this morning to set up emergency service. The call never came. When I called them, I was told that the schedule was (now) full. We would have paid a good amount of money for this service, but sadly, we had to shop elsewhere to address our issue. It's disappointing because we would have set up ongoing service to keep the pests at bay, but now we have both lost something: we lost the peace of mind of the service, and they lost an ongoing paid customer. We were recommended to Orkin by a friend but hadn't seen the existing reviews for this location. If we had, we might not have been so surprised and disappointed by the lack of care and follow-through. We just wish they could have done better and that these ants had been addressed swiftly. Im a new customer and both times I set appointments to get started on service orkin didn't show or even call. First appearance should mean the first and best for any company. Our service so far has been excellent. Albert has gone above and beyond to make sure our house is pest/rodent free. He is very knowledgeable of which treatments are necessary and communicates very well which action plans should be taken. Albert is a home run! read more

They didn't show up to either of the appointments scheduled. No calls. When you call them you talk to someone in some other state. I think they just schedule with you so you don't call anyone else. Then they just make it to the appointments they can and dont care about the rest of the people they stood up. read more

Update: I have NOT received the refund. Called customer service and was told they mailed a check two weeks ago, but that it takes 6-8 weeks to get from them to me. I asked where they were sending it from . . . A tiny village in Africa? In addition, the new guy was 2 hours late and I had to cancel. The next time he came out late again, and the third time, he never showed. No phone call, nothing. I'm totally done with this company. Incompetent doesn't even begin to cover it. He genuinely wanted to help me. He apologized for the first guy's unprofessional behavior. I had a lot of problems with Orkin, but they have a new manager (Ron) who went out of his way to make up for all the previous problems, including refunding me the original $245 payment AND gave me a free service which was so much better! Am very happy and plan on using them again. Orkin charged $245 for first four visits and the new manager, Ron, said they will refund me, since they never did a full service. read more

The scheduler/scheduling process is very frustrating. Nearly all of my pre-scheduled appointments were cancelled and rescheduled multiple times before the actual visit. This was not just one time, but nearly every monthly visit (which turned out to be every other month due to the cancellations). The technicians themselves were fine, but that assumes they can reliably make it out to your property. read more

I have had this company come out 3 times now to patch a hole after an extermination. The manager also told me I had hornets when I actually had honey bees. Every time they bring the wrong size ladder after I specifically ask them to write down that they need a 20 ft ladder not a 6ft ladder..the technicians are polite but even they have said their manager is not very communicative :( read more

Absolute worst. Office is incredibly poorly run, scheduler is incompetent. Cancelled multiple times now with no notice. Eg: Last night technician confirmed time. Today was supposed to arrive between 8 - 10. At 9:15 I asked for ETA, no answer, 9:47 asked again, 9:56 I get a message: He won't be there until 2pm . . . um, I have meetings and other things to do. And why didn't you tell me at 8 or 9 or 9:30 that you were not going to make it - waited until end of timeframe. Completely unacceptable treatment of customers and this is the 3rd time. Technician told me that a bigger job came in and he was told to do that instead. Spoke with the scheduler who told me that sometimes jobs run late - I told her I knew that they bumped me for a better job ... then she told me - after 2pm - that he's not going to make it today at all. I had a technician previously who was fantastic - I think he put his customers over what the office told him to do - he entered the army in April, and its been a nightmare since. read more

I used Orkin's Santa Rosa office for years and their technician retired who used to come to our house. Somehow they shut down and Petaluma opened. I would give zero starts to the Petaluma office if I could. I ordered a service and cancelled it. I continue to get a bill for $150 from them. You cannot talk to their office. It is permanently on forward to the call center in Sacramento. And they refer their bill collection to a company called Rollins. Sacramento admitted I owed zero and the service was cancelled. They contacted Petaluma on more that one occasion. Rollins also contacted Petaluma on more than one occasion. They cannot even get a response from this branch. RUN to a different company. They bill you for services they do not render and then never correct it, even when their sister branches are constantly contacting them. read more

MRR is the management company (they suck too). Any way the guy could not make it to my apartment in San Rafael because the city is working on street. The Orkin employee could not figure out the clearly marked arrows of the detour and did not have common sense to ask a city worker where is the detour to my street. They answered quickly and the lady was very nice and gave me an appt for the next day... THEY NEVER SHOWED... I call them again and they apologize and give an appointment for the following day, AGAIN, NEVER SHOWED. Said they had a problem with their system... they said they could come out in about 2 hours... we waited and I called as their two hour window was almost up... the lady said the tech was still having issues and would give me a call right away... I waited for a call for an hour nothing... I then tried calling again and was stuck on hold for 30 min... I gave up... I already missed work one day waiting for him so I will not miss another....
