I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews for the Santa Rosa/Petaluma office, because my experiences have all been excellent. My ant problem has been persistent, but Orkin keeps coming out to solve the problem. Everyone I've worked with in this office has been professional, courteous, communicative and genuinely interested in solving the problem. I recommend them. Special shout out to Jacob and Gabriel for their efforts. read more

Never on time, you get scheduled and they don't show up, or they show up when you're not on the schedule, like you're waiting around all day for him and then they call you and say they're coming next week, they are nothing but administrative trouble read more

Didn't show up despite me following up with them. I assumed that making an appointment through yelp was reliable but I was wrong. I even tried contacting them with yelp messages but no joy. read more

Wish my husband would have looked at these negative reviews before booking. He scheduled an appointment, which I took off from work to be home for. They no showed and when he called to follow up they told him they didn't have any record of his appointment. There are plenty of other companies out there! read more

We had Orkin come for a rodent problem. After they set traps, we ended up seeing more signs than before. They didn't do a thorough inspection and weren't going to do check under the house. We canceled and asked for a refund since they have a "satisfaction guaranteed policy. They don't respond to my calls or emails. we ended up doing all the work and managed to take care of it. read more

After calling 2 times and not getting a returned call..the manager RAY drove to my house at 7:45pm and did a full treatment to my house inside and out!!! He was so polite and I know he's been working since the sun came up this morning. He took the time to explain everything. He's a gem and thanks to him..you have a customer for life and I'll tell anyone looking read more

I wish I could spray pesticide on this company. Incompetence is the real pest. What's the point of scheduling a service window if no one shows up on repeated occasions? read more

2 NO SHOWS IN A ROW. Each time I called at the end of the window and was assured they are coming but late. Each time they were a COMPLETE NO SHOW WITH NO EXPLANATION OR APOLOGIES. One day we took off work and waiting for them all day. this Orkin branch is not a good, reputable, honest or reliable business. Avery Passalacqua is the manager of this branch and you cannot rely on him. read more

Orrin is the WORST They r fast to come out when they want their 300 for their initial visit then good luck getting them back. appoints r scheduled by Orkin and then cancelled the day of the visit. I have had a rat in my house for a month and can't get them out. Would definitely NOT recommend this company. read more

Could not recommend less. They promised me a discounted rate, showed the rate on my receipt then billed me the full amount. Called and they apologized and said they'd refund the difference. The next month no refund but they tried to offer me a partial credit. I said if you can't give me the deal I was promised cancel my account. They said I had a zero balance as the over charge covered the next month and that they would cancel my account no problem. Then I get a call today saying I'm behind a month and I owe them more money. I call back and they say they will have a manager call me to confirm the cancelation Monday, exactly what they said last time and he never called or canceled my account. Completely unsatisfied. The only good part was the technician, he was friendly and prompt. read more

They start off strong, then they expect you to wait around in a TEN AND A HALF HOUR WINDOW for service. They also only give you 10 hour notice of this expectation. Absolutely ridiculous read more

Never showed up, one scheduler did not see us on the schedule another scheduler did see us on the schedule. Got a call later that day tech could come out next day, then when I texted him pic of Hornets he called back to say he doesn't do Hornet problems, "he will have a general pest control guy call me", never got a call. We have since gone with another pest control service. read more

We called yesterday, on the 4th of July holiday, knowing we wouldn't get service, but we wanted to set up service for today because of a very invasive and unexpected ant invasion. Carly at the local branch assured us that we would get a call first thing this morning to set up emergency service. The call never came. When I called them, I was told that the schedule was (now) full. We would have paid a good amount of money for this service, but sadly, we had to shop elsewhere to address our issue. It's disappointing because we would have set up ongoing service to keep the pests at bay, but now we have both lost something: we lost the peace of mind of the service, and they lost an ongoing paid customer. We were recommended to Orkin by a friend but hadn't seen the existing reviews for this location. If we had, we might not have been so surprised and disappointed by the lack of care and follow-through. We just wish they could have done better and that these ants had been addressed swiftly. Sadly, neither of those happened. I scheduled with a competitor instead. read more

Absolutely awful branch. They scheduled us twice and never showed up. I have ants all over my house now. Don't trust them at all.

The worst service ever. They make promises, they apologize, they say text and they don't respond, email and they don't respond and I don't get a response until I threaten to fire them which I have now done. Shame you you read more

Used them since late 2021, started out strong but over the past year they have become extremely unreliable. We paid up front for Bi-monthly service, they stopped showing up, no callers, or any explanation. After calling them we were told they had "bunch" of technicians leave and were behind in work. We told them we paid up front and now how insects in the house they said they would get us on the schedule...When asked why were were not on the schedule, they explained they were focusing on new clients first. It took about a month for them to send someone over. The service record shows they sprayed and applied granuels, which is a lie. I was home during the service and the tech only sweep off spider webs. So this company gradely takes your money, does not honor their own contract and lies to their customers. read more

Fred was great! He came the very next day as he promoted. Other companies no showed.

Im a new customer and both times I set appointments to get started on service orkin didn't show or even call. First appearance should mean the first and best for any company. Both my wife and I took time off to be there both times. I called and at best they said can we reschedule. Nope sorry I wouldn't recommend them ever. Sorry Orkin sad start. read more

Requested service, waited 12 days for an appointment and was stood up twice in one day! Called and complained the 1st time and was promised they would show later that same day by multiple people. Didn't happen. No communication either time. Appointment windows are 2 hours, call centers won't give you technician's phone number. What a waste of time. Horribly unprofessional. read more

Lied about service plan. Initial call said no commitment, but that wasnt the case. Flaked on 2 appointments, costing me time from work. Ants came back within 2 weeks of initial call. No call no showed on those appointments read more

Our service so far has been excellent. Albert has gone above and beyond to make sure our house is pest/rodent free. He is very knowledgeable of which treatments are necessary and communicates very well which action plans should be taken. Albert is a home run! read more

They didn't show up to either of the appointments scheduled. No calls. When you call them you talk to someone in some other state. I think they just schedule with you so you don't call anyone else. Then they just make it to the appointments they can and dont care about the rest of the people they stood up. read more

Update: I have NOT received the refund. Called customer service and was told they mailed a check two weeks ago, but that it takes 6-8 weeks to get from them to me. I asked where they were sending it from . . . A tiny village in Africa? In addition, the new guy was 2 hours late and I had to cancel. The next time he came out late again, and the third time, he never showed. No phone call, nothing. I'm totally done with this company. Incompetent doesn't even begin to cover it. Read the other reviews. I'm not the only one to be disgusted with them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Orkin came out today and Dakota was very professional, friendly, and helpful. He genuinely wanted to help me. He apologized for the first guy's unprofessional behavior. I had a lot of problems with Orkin, but they have a new manager (Ron) who went out of his way to make up for all the previous problems, including refunding me the original $245 payment AND gave me a free service which was so much better! Am very happy and plan on using them again. Orkin charged $245 for first four visits and the new manager, Ron, said they will refund me, since they never did a full service. read more

Frederick was friendly and prompt in getting me service asap as I was getting ready to host family! Anthony came out to take care of my bug problem and was very prompt, friendly, and professional. He answered all my questions and concerns. Would definitely use Orkin again. read more

I would absolutely NEVER do business with a company that refuses to put an estimate in writing. Asked for a base quote to be provided because of ants and was told they'd put nothing in writing until service was rendered. That just tells me they want to rip people off. I'd give zero stars if possible. read more

The scheduler/scheduling process is very frustrating. Nearly all of my pre-scheduled appointments were cancelled and rescheduled multiple times before the actual visit. This was not just one time, but nearly every monthly visit (which turned out to be every other month due to the cancellations). The technicians themselves were fine, but that assumes they can reliably make it out to your property. read more

Absolute worst. Office is incredibly poorly run, scheduler is incompetent. Cancelled multiple times now with no notice. Eg: Last night technician confirmed time. Today was supposed to arrive between 8 - 10. At 9:15 I asked for ETA, no answer, 9:47 asked again, 9:56 I get a message: He won't be there until 2pm . . . um, I have meetings and other things to do. And why didn't you tell me at 8 or 9 or 9:30 that you were not going to make it - waited until end of timeframe. Completely unacceptable treatment of customers and this is the 3rd time. Technician told me that a bigger job came in and he was told to do that instead. Spoke with the scheduler who told me that sometimes jobs run late - I told her I knew that they bumped me for a better job ... then she told me - after 2pm - that he's not going to make it today at all. I had a technician previously who was fantastic - I think he put his customers over what the office told him to do - he entered the army in April, and its been a nightmare since. read more

Made 3 appointments for an ant problem and they never showed all three times. The manager was supposed to call us each time and never did. Finally called terminex and they came next day. Maybe the petaluma office has closed down and no one told the call center which is in another state. read more

I have had this company come out 3 times now to patch a hole after an extermination. The manager also told me I had hornets when I actually had honey bees. Every time they bring the wrong size ladder after I specifically ask them to write down that they need a 20 ft ladder not a 6ft ladder..the technicians are polite but even they have said their manager is not very communicative :( read more

We have had a recent problem with rats and ants. The Orkin folks (Frederick and David) responded on time and were very informative. We are in the early stages of abatement but we appreciate Orkin's professional approach. We feel better having them on the case. read more

Frederick was very good at explaining the initial coverage for our home. He's very prompt and courteous! Excellent customer service!

Having piece of mind as a homeowner is one of the best feelings in life. Orkin has provided that piece of mind by assigning us one of the most professional and meticulous tech on their team, Phillip Regis. Phil is not only an expert in pest control and treatment but his attention to detail and willingness to listen first and provide his expert opinion after the fact has helped solve all of my issues in my new home. Orkin management he deserves a promotion and a raise....pest control seekers...don't hesitate in calling this branch and requesting Phil! Trust me...we've dealt with other staffers at different locations and it's not even close when it comes to customer service! read more

I used Orkin's Santa Rosa office for years and their technician retired who used to come to our house. Somehow they shut down and Petaluma opened. I would give zero starts to the Petaluma office if I could. I ordered a service and cancelled it. I continue to get a bill for $150 from them. You cannot talk to their office. It is permanently on forward to the call center in Sacramento. And they refer their bill collection to a company called Rollins. Sacramento admitted I owed zero and the service was cancelled. They contacted Petaluma on more that one occasion. Rollins also contacted Petaluma on more than one occasion. They cannot even get a response from this branch. RUN to a different company. They bill you for services they do not render and then never correct it, even when their sister branches are constantly contacting them. read more

We have used Orkin's services, the past couple of years for varied issues at our home. Service has always been outstanding, and we particularly would like to call out, Phil Regis. Recently at my parents home in Temelec, Phil went above and beyond to make sure the service was excellent. He even checked back in to make sure all was good and the problems were taken care of! We will always call Phil, with any issues in the furture! read more

Matt is the best representative! Great communication and always reliable! Punctual and informative.

Terrible service. 6 hours late for 1st appointment. Never showed up for second appointment. No one calls you back. I get text messages saying they are in my area to do service and they still don't show up. read more

Had a bit of confusion with the call center trying to nail down a sale, but Fredrick, the inspector, was very kind and knowledgeable. He was able to make a proper assessment of the property, answer all our questions about process and logistics, and ultimately gave me a better quote. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. IF ORKIN CANT FIND YOUR HOUSE THEY CANT EXTERMINATE! Exterminator was scheduled to come to my apartment because I saw a mouse. MRR is the management company (they suck too). Any way the guy could not make it to my apartment in San Rafael because the city is working on street. The Orkin employee could not figure out the clearly marked arrows of the detour and did not have common sense to ask a city worker where is the detour to my street. GO LOCAL AND USE ANOTHER COMPANY THAT HAS COMMON SENSE EMPLOYEES. read more

Don't even bother, I wish I would have read the reviews before calling. I am desperate for pest control service in my home & I called. They answered quickly and the lady was very nice and gave me an appt for the next day... THEY NEVER SHOWED... I call them again and they apologize and give an appointment for the following day, AGAIN, NEVER SHOWED. Said they had a problem with their system... they said they could come out in about 2 hours... we waited and I called as their two hour window was almost up... the lady said the tech was still having issues and would give me a call right away... I waited for a call for an hour nothing... I then tried calling again and was stuck on hold for 30 min... I gave up... I already missed work one day waiting for him so I will not miss another.... Forgetaboutthem!! Since I have dogs and wildlife I need to know the method for yellow jacket removal. The guy on the phone said he didn't know and I could look it up on the internet... right...
