Well, it is NOT. I went to turn off the fuse labeled 'Dryer'. And I got shocked when attempting to reconnect the wire which was hanging out of the dryer outlet. Meaning the breaker box/ panel is NOT labeled correctly. This is very concerning seeing how someone can get seriously injured. And this company couldn't take the time to test any of the breakers. 2) The kitchen sink is messing caulk and clips. That is not on the inspection. Which means they didnt brothered to look. 3) Hot and Cold water lines under the kitchen sink were not connected to the correct inlet. Which means they didn't brother to look at all. This makes me question everything else they 'checked'. They do horrible work and its messed up that we had to pay them to do faulty work. And of course how is the customer suppose to know this when we rely on them to do the job? Due to this company's slip shod job me, my husband or anyone else who performed work on this place could have been seriously injured because this company cannot and did perform and lied on the report. What a worse of money. But this company will continue to stay in business because buyers wont know how horrible or good of a job they perform until its to late.

Melting/bubbling sheathing around wire, from an electrician that didn't tighten the screw on the panel bar (which is required as part of their work). Resistance- heating wire- melting plastic. Eventually this would have resulted in serious consequences that I never would have caught until it was too late. Based on my experience the state of the trades out there doing these "smaller" jobs is nose diving in quality. Hiring Terry, or someone just as good, is a necessity if you live on the peninsula.

If you are serious about buying a home, please learn from my experience with this company or other companies. I paid approximately $585 or more for the home inspection for December 2025, hoping that they will find concerns about the home prior to me closing it. The home inspector came and he did a great job "photographing" my home like he is doing his "job" finding issues that needs to be addressed. The pictures and home inspection packet was professional. This is as far as it goes. It felt as though, you're hiring a professional photographer vs an actual home inspector that actually looks for concerns that needs to be addressed. Here are some of the overlooked concerns: -Death trap door, my bathroom door was a deathtrap, once you're inside the bathroom door and close it, it is very difficult for you to come out and you can be stuck there until help arrives. This was something so basic that was overlooked from a 5 star home inspection company. -The garbage disposal underneath my sink was leaking and it was not found. (Do your own "stress" test, let the sink water run and see if it leaks). It is not the company expertise to find that for you. I ended paying about $150 out of pocket to replace the garbage disposal. -Outside my window, there was obviously a "cage" that is a fire safety hazard that should of been removed and noted in the home inspection report. It was not and now I am "dealing" with it. Isn't that basic 101 home inspection? You're telling me that a clear and obvious "fire hazard" was not noted in the home inspection report? After contacting Golden Gate Home Inspection, he sent someone to temporarily "fix" my bathroom "deathtrap door," however, it came back soon after and was not permanently fixed. Spoke to the owner of the company about the garbage disposal, he said, his company does not do "stress" test to look for leaks and said, next time, do not buy a old home because their will be issues. It felt like the owner was "projecting" his accountability onto the customer instead of taking full responsibility to address it. If you do hire the company to do a home inspection, I suggest that you go inside the home first, do your own "stress" test on the pipes to find leaks. Don't depend on them to do it for you even though you paid them $585 or more for the home inspection. Lastly, the seller's agent requested a "report" of the home inspection and they provided it to the seller agent without my permission or even asking me how I "feel" about it. I paid $585 dollar for the home inspection report and the seller did not split this home inspection with me. Why makes you think the seller is "entitled" to a home inspection report that I paid for? Instead of asking me, "Are you okay with sharing the home inspection report with the seller?" They just provided it to the seller agent. It felt as if they can care less about how I feel as long as they got paid. After reading my review, do you feel that $585 is worth the home inspection? Please do not let your "guard" down, prior to them coming to the home, I suggest to do a walk through yourself and gauge any possible problems that need to be addressed and flag them for home inspection to note it in the report. In short, "do" their job for them and then pay them to note it in their home inspection report like they did their job. The whole experience only took them 1 hour or so and it felt so short and "rushed." It made me think, did Golden Gate Home Inspection really take the time to do their job or did they take your money as quick as they can and move onto the next home inspection to collect more money.
