I emailed the inspection report to them when we scheduled their estimate visit. They sent someone out who looked at the roof and said they couldn't go up there to inspect because the roof material (metal) wouldn't support his weight (despite the roof material being clearly stated in the report I sent them ahead of time and the previous inspector walking around up there no problem). The person they sent said neither he nor anyone else at the company received the inspection report I sent so I re-emailed it while he was here and he did a cursory inspection by walking around the house (i.e., not actually getting on the roof). He said they'd send an estimate within 5 business days. That was 13 calendar days ago, or about 8 or 9 business days ago, and I haven't heard anything since then.

The project included removing the old roof, installing a new Presidential Solaris roof, and putting in new gutters and water pipes. At the end of each day, they thoroughly cleaned up all debris so the yard never looked messy. Whenever I had a minor concern, the team responded right away and fixed it without hesitation. In Jason Ramey, we found the perfect person, amiable and professional, to do a Well-Check on our house. We had no desire to sell, we just wanted to know what needed attention. I had chosen Jason based on glowing reviews, his experience as a builder, the fact that he would include photos in his report, and the fact that he had a robotic device that could go under the house if he deemed it too tight a crawl space. (We'd been told long ago that our crawlspace should be dug deeper.) As it turned out, his robot was in the shop the day he came to our property, but he had no trouble going where he needed to go and was able to reassure me that the space was quite adequate. His entire demeanor, in fact, was reassuring, even as he told us about things that did need fixing. Jason was super amiable and good humored--the entire family was very comfortable having him in and out of our space for the necessary hours. He was also very generous with his time, giving us an in-person, post-inspection rundown of the key issues. I don't know if his schedule always allows for this; we felt extremely lucky. He followed up that evening (again, I don't know that he can always turn it around this quickly!) with a wonderfully organized, emailed report, just for us, complete with photos, that detailed everything inspected, and exactly what needed addressing and by what type of professional, if not the homeowner. He was very clear about time frames, too, and whether we needed to do it right away or could wait until we wanted to sell the house. At my convenience, days later, he went over the report with me on the phone to further answer any questions I had. We will definitely call Jason Ramey again when we are ready for another Well-Check on the house or for any other home inspection needs. read more

I just had an inspection done by Jason Ramsay, and I have to say, I'm really impressed! From the start, Jason was super responsive and easy to work with. He made scheduling a breeze and was always happy to answer any questions before and after. From working with him, it's obvious he's someone that really cares about his job and is definitely worth the value to have him look at your home. When it came time for the actual inspection, Jason went above and beyond. He took his time and thoroughly checked every part of the house, from top to bottom. I was really impressed by how much attention to detail he had--he caught things I never would've noticed and stuff that even the city inspector missed (nails sticking out of the siding, over-notched stud...etc). It was clear that Jason really knows his stuff! Afterward, I got a detailed report that was really easy to follow. He explained everything in a way that made sense. The report included photos and descriptions, which made it so much easier to understand exactly what he was talking about. I got a general home inspection from Jason. The entire process was great from start to finish. From the very beginning, I was met with excellent customer service. It was easy to reach someone over the phone. The woman who answered was professional and answered all the questions I had. On the day of inspection, Jason was very professional. I could tell that he is someone who knows what he was doing, a real expert. Throughout the whole process, he shared with me details about any defect he found, and what I can do to resolve the defects. The report is available online and is very easy to read. They say that the report is available in 24 hours, but I got mine about 1-2 hours after the inspection was done. Pricewise, it is worth the money. I called multiple different services, and they all charge comparably the same or much higher. If you can find anyone who offers the service for cheaper, I'm not sure if it is worth it considering the expertise, professionalism, and technological advantage (online report) that Ramey's provide. read more

This was my second time using Jason for my Buyer client's inspection home inspection and he was amazing again. From the moment I reached out he and his team were responsive and very professional. Jason is always super cool and professional and he really knows his stuff. My client's inspection was in Antioch/ Contra Costa County. Jason does a great job at explaining his findings in a way that is easy to understand for my Buyer and he provides the level of detail that really educates a client about their home so that they can be informed and more prepared for maintaining their home. He sends reports out very quickly and his reports are dynamic, easy to read and navigate, and detailed enough to provide the client with a decent level of info and a great home reference tool. Josh also took his time to show me where the water and gas shutoff were, what to do in an emergency, and more information regarding the main electricity panel. Not only was Josh helpful during the whole inspection, he provided a very detailed report within a day or so. Josh was also kind enough to be available to answer any follow up questions I had regarding information in the report.
