This was a nice quiet restraunt with options we wouldn't expect to see on the menu. The food was good and we had really good service. If you are looking for a restraunt that is good but different, come and try this one.

Really nice set up on the inside. Everything seems to have recently been updated. Great drink menu with a heavy nod to tequila drinks. Nice, open bar area. They have what looked to be a good brunch menu. We didn't eat, just had drinks. Server was attentive. If you're looking for a higher end Mexican restaurant in the area, would recommend.

Tequila 61 is an attractive restaurant with friendly, knowledgeable staff and good food. We enjoyed a shared tequila flight (a little pricey), some chips and salsa (not complimentary) and a side of guacamole before we ate our entrees. We enjoyed tacos and a fish salad in addition to some margaritas that were overly sweet but that did the job. The side of rice and refried beans was unmemorable and comparable to what I make in my home kitchen. Overall Tequila 61 created a pleasant dinner experience for the area but not anywhere near to a great Mexican food experience by National standards. For the price, I expected more developed flavors but I would recommend this restaurant.

Service was great. Restaurant has a lot of energy. I live that they had a veggie option, although limited. Food could do with some more spice. Wish they gave heat options.

Love brunch season. Had the breakfast tacos with no chorizo and no potatoes. (I personally don't eat either, but they are included in the tacos). Last year when I found out about the brunch menu only made it twice. The flaming French toast is amazing too. Friend I went with this time had the omelette and really enjoyed it. Service was excellent. We were there shortly after 9:30 when they opened and it was clean and lovely.

The epitome of elegance and debonair. Very upscale and a pretty impressive bar. Phenomenal bartendar. Perfect 10. Clean bathrooms. Everything is legit. And the women are beautiful.

I have to say this: Beware of restaurants who charge for chips and salsa. We were excited to try this restaurant, the reviews on open table were great and this was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The restaurant's aesthetic was pleasant and unique. The seating wasn't my favorite because it was cramped in some places, plus the seating in the booth were super close which made for an awkward atmosphere at times. Our appetizer was the Chorizo empanadas and it had a nice crunch, but it didn't have much flavor. The guacamole sauce that was served with it was very tasty and had a nice kick!! Next, we tried the Queso with asada, this was again flavorless. For our entrees we tried the tacos, unfortunately you can't mix and match tacos, which would've made this experience better. We tried the duck tacos with the blueberry salsa, overall it was pretty delicious, just a little salty. We also had the jicama coconut shrimp, which was different. We never had jicama as a shell, so that was definitely interesting, not mad at the idea , it just wasn't my favorite. The coconut shrimp was very crunchy and had a great flavor. Lastly, we had the tres leches cornbread for dessert. It was good, the blackberries were the star of the dish for me. Overall, this restaurant wasn't my favorite in the area, all we wanted were some good tacos and tequila. The rum presentation was great tho.

The food was amazing and the service was impeccable! It was our anniversary so they even went the extra mile on our dessert. We will be back!

Ambiance was loud, the drinks were good. Food was average. I had the strawberry jalapeño margarita and its was delightful. The chips and salsa were American/mexican. The tacos were good.

Carne asada, chicken al pastor, carnitas tacos

Amazing food! Some of the best street tacos I have ever had. We ordered the carne asada, carnitas, and chicken al pastor tacos. The service was also great!

The ambiance is nice but service was just okay. Also for $13, the cocktails were very weak and look at the quantity on the drink to the left- that's how it came. Also the ratio of chip to guac was very off. Food was meh. It's got a nice vibe and service was okay hence the 2 stars.

I was in beautiful Anchorage and…read morewanted to grab some lunch. 49th state brewing was perfect because it wasn't far from my hotel and because it was so cold outside, I didn't want my walk to exceed 15 minutes. I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter! I didn't get his name but he was so kind and the service was excellent!

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."

I was happy to see halibut as the fish for their fish & chips, as it is often cod or other white fish. I find halibut to be the best. They also have a few dishes with nods to Korean and Thai flavors. There are pizzas and dinner salads too. I went with their bacon jam burger for dinner. It is cooked to your liking and has a grilled apple, cambozola, bacon jam, arugula & house mayo. This is the best burger I've had in a long time. The flavors complement each other so well. If you are a fan of bleu cheese you will really love the cambozola. It is creamy and oozy and is amazing on a burger. My spouse tried their Cuban sandwich and didn't like that the pickles were mediocre and didn't add to the overall flavors, and that the bread wasn't crisped or toasted in any way -- the way Cubans traditionally are. He also took a chance with a appetizer off the specials menu which he imaged was Brussels sprouts however it was shaved sautéed Brussels sprout leaves, over warm couscous with lots of fresh herbs, jalapeños, and heavily spiced with bold spices like fennel. It was bizarre and not like anything we've ever tried. We liked some of the flavors but all together didn't make sense to us so we sent it back, unfortunately. Our child tried the Mac and cheese that came with purple grapes and sorbet. The Mac and cheese was good although I'd advise SRH to try a larger noodle than a small shell so kids can stab it better and get it in their little mouths. The sorbet must be seasonal/rotating bc it was cinnamon honey pear and it was crazy delicious. I'd come back for just the sorbet tbh. Other than that our red-haired bespectacled server was fairly attentive and quite friendly, even on a very busy Friday dinner rush. Parking lot just outside seems easy enough as long as you can grab a spot at busy times. Will be back in the future for the fried halibut (and sorbet!).

It didn't taste better than your average fish and chips, and I'm glad I didn't personally order this dish. The kids chicken and rice had a surprisingly large amount of chicken with bland rice. The scallop risotto, just simply wasn't very good, it wasn't bland, but the flavor was lacking, and of the 3 that tried it, no one ate much. The kids dessert was called house made sorbet, and my kiddos were so excited to eat it. They tried one bite and almost cried, he said it tasted like broccoli, and I laughed and tried it myself...no kidding, this tasted like broccoli!! It was absolutely awful, like one of those gag jelly beans. I was expecting a high bill, but the hidden charges at the end really added to our disappointment. I regret coming here
