We had been here before and liked the concept, but then we learned soon after that it was closing. Fast forward and Tempe Eats is reopened and it looks to be thriving! This is a good haul with several different "restaurants." There is one big menu with a different section for each food stall. There is Mexican, soul food, Asian, fried fish, Italian, and more. There is also a full bar and a beer tap wall for the beer lovers. You scan the QR code on the table and then order and pay at your table. Easy peasy George and Weezy! We ordered: *Beef yakisoba *Birria Grilled Cheese *Dozen Hot Wings *Peach Cobbler Hubby said the yakisoba was good--just the standard yakisoba, still good. The portion size was really big. The wing sauce was really good--not too vinegary and the perfect amount of heart. V they came out hot and fresh. Delicious! The Birria Grilled Cheese s AMAZING! It came with a yummy consomme for dipping. The need was crispy and it was packed with Birria. So f***** delicious! When the gentleman brought out my wings, her brought a complimentary peach cobbler. It was so good--warm and buttery. Our comfort food! The place seemed to be filling up when we were leaving, which makes sense since we were there pretty early. This is the place to go when everyone in your party wants something different. The huge t.v. screen and a show of other t.v.s are great for watching sports. If you haven't yet, give this place a try. It's not fancy, but it is good!

Tried tempe eats recently and thought the concept was really cool. Feels like a mini food hall/food court with multiple options, and I liked how you can order from the QR code at the table. We sat at the bar and the bartender offered to start our tab and take our order directly. He was the only one working there at first so service felt a little slow as he was handling drinks for everyone else. People were also coming up to the bar to order. After waiting awhile we were going to just order off the QR code instead. Bartender said he could still take our order and got a co worker to help. The orignal fish and chips was good. My boyfriend liked the wings. The veggie roll surprisingly took the longest to come out. A staff member went to go check up on it for us and was gone for some time. It was good. Not the best Ive ever had. Just funny that the veggie roll ended up taking the longest out of everything. I liked how they had games at the table like connect four. It gave the place a fun atmosphere. There were only a couple available and other people wanted to play it too so we played a couple games and passed it along to another couple to share.

Came here to try "chow down". Interesting set up here. You sit at a table, you scan the QR code, then you can order from the many different restaurants offered here. I chose "chow down" because I wanted the oxtails. No complaints the oxtails were delicious and tender. they brought the food out to the table pretty quick. My dad had the cod and fries. He said it was good and fresh (Came with a side of cold peas that we did not eat.) we ordered drinks from the bar. Strong, but not that delicious. I was not impressed with the desserts. We had the banana pudding, which was OK. But absolutely never ever what I recommend the jar dessert "muncheese". I had strawberry cheesecake and we ended up throwing it away. I definitely want to come back to try other food items on the menu.

We had family in town and have been wanting to try Fish pop since we have been following them on IG for awhile. The vibe in the restaurant is great very open, big bar, beer wall. However I will say the ordering system from your phone is awful. They need to invest in a better more organized set up. They have all the Restaurants clumped into one giant list. It was so confusing and it took forever to even find the alcohol drinks. We ended up just going up to the bar. When it got to checking out our cards were all declining and we clearly had money it was a system glitch. It took us a good 25 min to get our food ordered. I also think it would be a great idea for someone to greet you when you walk in and explain the ordering process not just point to the QR codes. We enjoyed the spicy fish and chips and the tartar sauce was so good! I didn't take a picture of it but we got a soul food plate it was fried chicken wings, candied yams, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. It was great and my 11 month old tore that plate up! Haha Fix the system and I think you have a great concept.

I should've checked Yelp instead of listening to my girl's social media influencers hyping this place up. Tempe Eats looked promising based on the photos and online buzz, but the actual food was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy that's heavily advertised with pictures when you walk into the restaurant, and what came out looked nothing like what was being marketed. The sandwich was served on what tasted like a basic bagged Italian roll, there was no real "special sauce" besides straight cocktail sauce, and overall it just felt cheap and thrown together. Definitely not worth the $20 price tag. Honestly, I'd be embarrassed serving that as an owner. Random AF Taqueria was also disappointing. The smash burger was mediocre at best, and the waffle fries were way overcooked. I like crispy fries as much as anyone, but these crossed the line into hard and burnt. The strawberry horchata was a banger though. The positives: the strawberry horchata was excellent, the banana pudding was actually really good (and was given to us on the house after the disappointing meal), and the atmosphere/service were solid. Sports were playing on the TVs which made it a decent environment to hang out in, and the woman working the front counter was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and easily the best part of the experience. Overall, the service and drinks/dessert saved this from being a 1-star review, but the actual food didn't come close to matching the hype.

Spicy fish and chips - fantastic, only slightly spicy but not weak. The tartar sauce was incredible, and my favorite so far. Fries were alright, nothing special but not bad. BBQ pulled pork nachos - wow. The waffle fries were heavily seasoned in the best way, and I couldn't be happier. This was enough to feed two, and even the leftovers were tasty. Highly recommend, and you get to choose the meat as well (I went with pulled pork). They give you quite a bit of meat too. Margs - nothing special but not bad. Can't beat $3 though. Our bartender was so sweet, and she helped us pick some food and navigate the restaurant. You sit anywhere you'd like, scan the QR code, and order from a culmination of multiple restaurants, like a food court. They have a bar, and also a tap wall where you can fill your own beer! I'll be back to try that out. They have empanadas, soul food, bbq, fish, sushi, and probably some more that I'm forgetting, so check it out if you ever have split cravings!

Tempe Eats is a good concept in theory. It's a food hall, but not. You order from a kiosk and workers are labored with the task of bringing your food. They have to discern between orders and try to give you a run down of your food should you ask. Kinda sucks actually. You should leave them a tip. Some of the things we ordered were good and some were not. I felt like everything was reasonably priced. The Eats gives you plenty of variety to choose from. You can also enjoy an alcoholic beverage while you wait. If you're dining with a bunch of people, this may be your spot.

Kind of a cool concept here. The place is really clean and it's progressive. The service was a little strange because of the concept but good. The food was really good. Really was some of the best fish and chips I've had. The fries were amazing, the thing is though, this is like a little food court without the mall and the food we got came from one of the, I think, 6 restaurants? Maybe only 5. But that's the deal, it's a building with a bar, a hostess, and lots of seating but you have several places to choose from. Check it out when you're with several people that all want something different.

Little confused about the low ratings, but here's my experience--- Tempe Eats has a cool concept imo-- there a bunch of different places to eat in one area ( think of an upgraded food court ) and the facility it self sells alcohol, has tv's for games. They have all these taps for beer, I haven't had a chance to check that out yet. Each time I have eaten there I was warmly greeted, and the staff at TE explains how everything works. They also check on you and help if you need assistance. This works out great if someone in your group doesn't eat a certain type of food and you can get some beers or whatever to drink. Chix and Fish pop ( restaurants at TE ) are worth the drive alone. Looking forward to going back soon.

Chickpop was way better than fishpop and LOOK at the size of that chicken!!

Hubs and I had a decent time. We started with with drinks that were really good. He had a hennymarg and I had a regular. We made it there before happy hour ended (at 7) so we took advantage of the drink deals. It was karaoke night, and was fun watching others sing. Hubs had the truffle fries and waygu burge and enjoyed both. I tried the fries snd thought they were really tasty. I had the shrimp garlic noodles and thought they were just ok. When I first tried Tempe Eats, experience was not very smooth, but I chalked it up to it being so new. Some friends wanted to gather and this spot came up -- so I went back, and I am so glad I did! They've definitely worked out some of the kinks that plagued them before. I mentioned to the hostess that the food was way better this go around (friend ordered something I had previously and would not recommend), but it was a crowd favorite the other night. She said they have a new chef! All in all, definitely a cool concept.. love the beer wall and the cocktail menu. The only complaint was the music was a bit too loud when trying to carry conversations with a group. I want to try a few more dishes so will definitely be back! read more

Service was excellent -- I was greeted and assisted right at the door. The staff took the time to explain how the concept works, and the quality of the food was exceptional. I ordered the Maple Truffle Sandwich from Chick Pop, and it was truly divine! I also had to try the Original Fish and Chips from Fish Pop, which brought me right back to my travels in London. The idea for this place is amazing. A few small restaurants in one place. There are about 4-5 different menus they give you with an array of options (Pizza, tacos, bbq, etc). If you have a big group of people, I recommend this place to satisfy everyone's cravings. An incredible food experience from a great, warm welcoming atmosphere to service and amazing food. The server made some really great suggestions from food and drink and I loved them all: Empanadas: We got one of each and I loved them all with and without the sauce but the sauce definitely kicked it up a notch in flavor! They all were crispy and flakey on the outside, the insides were all incredibly tasty and oozing with flavor. I wish I had more stomach space to eat a ton of these! Gambas y papas a la diablo: Freaking delicious! Succulent, perfectly cooked shrimp and potatoes doused in a buttery delicious sauce that had a nice heat and wonderful crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside bread to pick up the deliciousness. If I could, I would drink that sauce. Bruschetta: So many choices! It was hard to pick from them all. The traditional was typically tasty with fresh tomato and basil, the elote and cowboy peppers had a nice flavor and a good heat, and the smoked salmon and capers was like a tastier version of what I typically enjoy on a bagel. For all of them, the bread was fresh, nicely grilled/toasted with a nice crunch and fluffy inside. I can't wait to come back to try the other flavors! Hawaiian poke nachos: Tasty fresh tuna and salmon, diced avocado, diced cucumber, thinly sliced jalapenos, a tasty spicy mayo, and in house made chips. Yum! It was a nice, crispy, and fresh tasty treat. Lychee martini: I loved how this had a great lychee flavor and was perfectly balanced. Spicy margarita: I love the nice twist on a margarita with the slight hint of smokiness at the end. The tajin rim was the perfect "cherry on top" for this tasty drink! Desert reviver: I'll admit that I mainly wanted to order this drink because it came with a smoke bubble. It was a fun and cool presentation but it was as tasty as it was cool! I loved the flavors that came out of this complex drink! Neaux fashioned: A nice twist on old fashioned as it has a bit of cognac and a hint of absinthe. Overall, it was a great experience, atmosphere, service, and tasty food. I loved all of the options from great food to a nice twist on classic cocktails. I didn't get to try the beer wall and I missed out on some items like the Oozy Wellington Sliders but I'll have to wait until next time! read more

Had the hot honey chicken sandwich and the fish and chips. For some reason the chicken sandwich too longer to come out. If you are sensitive to spicy food the hot honey is NOT the way to go. It is very spicy. The fish and chips are excellent. The self pour beer is an interesting concept. read more

I passed this restaurant for six months before actually trying it. It is a cool concept. They have a bunch of menus from different "restaurants" though a server told us that it's all one big kitchen in the back! This is an awesome and unique spot! Me and a few friends went to their karaoke night on Friday and it was so much fun! The drinks are strong and good! The food was amazing and you gave a ton of options. I love that there are so many different restaurants in one area to with a bunch of options to choose from! The vibe was EVERYTHING!!! Really love this concept where we can all eat different types of food. We had to try a little of everything. Tempe Eats is such a cool and unique game-changer for dining which is so different compared to the food courts in other malls. It opened 4 weeks ago and is a breath of fresh air with a brilliant concept that truly sets it apart. It has a vibrant, upbeat & roomy feel with a variety of seating options including tables, comfy booths, adjustable stools at the bar with padded backs, aa well as outdoor tables. But what truly sets Tempe Eats apart is its innovative approach to dining. With five different menus to choose from, the possibilities are endless! Mix and match your favorites to create the ultimate personalized culinary experience. John, who is a super nice guy, explained the concept to us, and our waitress was fantastic (friendly, fast service). As for the food, it exceeded all expectations. I opted for a lunch special which was a massive Caesar salad topped with a large sliced chicken breast - all for an unbelievable price of $11.00 including the soda! The empanada with chimichurri sauce was my fun accompaniment, and at just $4, it's a steal, as is the other option which is 3 empanadas for $10. I've already decided that next I'm going to do an Italian French mix, ordering pizza or pasta from the Pastiazza menu and dessert from Maison Bijon. There are tons of TVs for entertainment and a vast selection of beer choices on the "Beer Wall" (40 beers). I could see the beer lovers over there absolutely digging that. I understand that they have 80 different wines, and for soda lovers like myself, they serve Coca-Cola brands. Tempe Eats has completely won me over with its clean, fresh, and energetic vibe. The food is great, and the choices are awesome. Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, this place has something for everyone. This place needs to look up how food courts operate and fix some things ... no idea what to do when you walk in and the service is slow. No water brought to table and food came out super slow. Ordered sushi off the menu and it was decent... the fish pop spot had a long line, you order other food from table not the stall. Giving a 2* instead of 1* bc food was ok and the place has potential but they need to look at what food courts in NY and other places do to run properly. read more

What a sham of a business. More than a week ago, I filled out the "Contact" form on their website asking a couple questions prior to my visit. Immediately after filling out the contact form, they sent two automated emails "welcoming" me to their "eClub" and another one asking me to sign up for Tempe Eats "Rewards." Today I got more spamage pimping their Rewards plan. What a scam! They use the "contact us" site to harvest data and sign you up for crap you didn't sign up for. No mention on the contact form that they'd be using your data to spam you without your permission (see pic). Meanwhile they haven't sent me a reply to my questions. Also, self-serve beer pricing is CRAZY. It's $.65/oz! That's $10.40/pint!!!! For pouring your own beer! OMG. Obviously a very poorly managed operation in all areas. From all the poor reviews so far, Tempe Eats will soon be on the ash heap of failed businesses. read more

Unexpectedly sat next to the owner today and was surprised to find out after being served my food and drink! I came on a Saturday during the summer so it was a very relaxed vibe but since 2024 and their grand opening this place has always been THE SPOT to go to during the day or night! Food is served until 8 PM! Want to bring the family or come for a night out with the girls well this spot has everything and is so inclusive! I highly recommend visiting this place for everything it has to offer! Just don't be mad that everyone had the same mind as you when it comes to food because when the kitchen is busy it is busy, but they didn't forget you ;) ! read more

What a great concept! This place has everything you'd want to watch a ball game and eat from a great choice of restaurants. Came with my family and we can order whatever food we want. My daughter had the sushi, my sons and I shared birrias (yum!) from Fork Off and wings from ChickPop (very good dry rub and Korean BBQ sauces). My wife had fish & chips from FishPop (melt in your mouth) and the crispy chicken sandwich from ChickPop. We love that you can get whatever great food you want, get drinks from the beer wall and watch your game with your family or friends. my wife doesn't drink beer BUT there's a full bar where she can get her wine. This review is t really about the food. Went to this place on a Friday at 6. Walked in and there was a dj playing music so loud that I had to yell to talk to my wife standing right next to me. I would have left immediately if I hadn't ordered food ahead online. They were trying to call out numbers with a microphone and it couldn't be heard over the dj blasting Michael Jackson. My Apple Watch registered a noise warning so I can say that the music registered 104db with me standing as far from the speaker as I possibly could. Not a place you could have a conversation or even talk to a person immediately next to you. Really obnoxious. As we left with commiserated with other patrons who had some choice words for a dj who couldn't read the room. The food is nothing to write home about and expensive. I ate Fishpop (which I took home to get out of this place) and it was okay but not worth $20. I don't really ever write reviews but felt compelled as this was such a bad experience. Not only will I not return I will actively warn people off from this place. The staff was polite but were walking around literally with their hands over their ears. read more

I've been wanting to eat at this place since I found out it was going to be a food hall. Ordered delivery through Uber eats and was overwhelmingly disappointed. The "wagyu" burger is just a plain burger. Nothing special. Flavor was bland and the burger was over cooked. More importantly, I ordered a mushroom Swiss and it came with a bunch of other toppings not in the description. The truffle fries are a tiny serving of standard fries with truffle oil and what looked like parmesan. They also came out cold. Soda had no syrup and was just straight plain soda water. The girl at the pickup window was nice but said it would only be a few minutes. More like 15-20. Had to wait outside as it was not yet open inside. Looks like a nice place, but I could have gotten a better burger and fries from Chili's for half the price. read more

With over 40 self serve beer options, 7 different cuisines, and a bunch of TV's this is THE spot for game day. The staff was so helpful as you can order online, but we did prefer to use the waitress than do the online ordering. Don't get me wrong, this is a GREAT concept but god awful service. Fishpop is great, even as a person who hates fish, but all other food is frozen level. I could get better food from Trader Joe's freezer section. Last time I came here, I ordered spicy teriyaki yakisoba. The meat was unflavored, and tasted like it'd been in the freezer for months before cooking. This time, the fish is significantly smaller, and the food takes FOREVER to be served. A few years back, we had a large party here and only half of the guests had food after and hour and a half, leaving the rest hungry. This place is a very cool idea, but the worst food hall I've ever been to. Never again. read more

That little poblano flavor sauce with the perfect texture of polenta and the meat was perfectly rendered. It comes with this crazy flavorful corn that is out of this world. We got the steak frites as well and it was perfectly cooked and the fries were perfect but it couldn't hold a candle to the other menu items we got.

Great food, service needs a little bit of work…read more First off, let me start by saying the food was really delicious. I thought they had some interesting and unique items on the menu. It is not your typical steakhouse and you definitely get the feeling that each dish is curated by the chef. We ordered the deviled eggs and what I believe are called short ribs, sliders off of the happy hour menu. I'm assuming that menu changes semi often because they don't have it on their website (which is a plus to me ). The deviled eggs were some of the best I've ever had and were only five dollars. The short rib sliders were a little bit dry, but overall had great flavor. For our main course we ordered the New York strip over fried rice and the crab Rangoon Arancini. Both were incredible with great flavors. The strip was a little bit overcooked for my liking. I ordered medium rare and probably got somewhere around medium well. However, because it was served over fried rice and topped with Katsu miso butter it was still delicious. We also ordered the lobster mac & cheese. The lobster mac & cheese had a great flavor, but to be honest, there was too much of it. Sort of a strange critique, but it could easily have served four people and was just too large for only my wife and I. It was very rich, but overall still very good. The service was a little slow. They had one server and a bartender who were running food. It looked like the server was responsible for every table. We arrived at about 5:00 and got out of there around 6:45. I assume that because they are a smaller restaurant, they may just be getting their feet under them in that regard and can see that issue being easily solved by adding another server. That being said the service at the restaurant was extremely friendly and professional. If I was to change a few small things to put this restaurant over the top, it would be the following: 1. Toasted or warmed up buns for the sliders. 2. Faster service. 3. Smaller portions for the lobster Mac or at least have the server inform smaller tables about how large the portions are. Keep in mind that was the only dish that we felt was just a little too much. Overall, I don't think any of these deficiencies are impactful enough to reduce a five star rating to a four star rating. All the food I saw the other tables also looked really delicious. I highly recommend you try this restaurant. Worst case scenario get yourself a bottle of wine. Sit and talk for a little longer if the food takes some time. It might just be because the chef is putting a lot of work into making sure every dish is perfect.

It wasn't very busy either to have an inattentive waiter either. I don't know if it was maybe an off day to come in? But I won't be returning.

A good idea that fumbles in execution. Going into this I was excited thinking about the dining halls you see in other cities where there are a tons of options with small windows you walk up to and a large communal eating hall with all different kinds of people and food. This seemed to be the original idea of this place, but then maybe zoning or codes threw a wrench in it because that is not what you walk into for Tempe Eats. It's a sit down type restaurant with QR codes for mobile ordering at each table which were a headache and failed outright (the website crashed several times, kept navigating back to the homepage, photos weren't loading, and it rejected multiple payment attempts for a Visa card from Chase, etc.) or you can order from a server. One of us managed to get our order in on the app after several painful minutes, the other had to call over the server to get the order in after multiple failed attempts. They have these little windows it appears for each restaurant, but you don't actually order from them. They are just kind of awkwardly taking up space and some just have boxes from Amazon sitting on them for storage. It just looks weird and like a barrier between the seating area and the kitchen area. We ordered a variety of food and most of it came out in about 20 mins. The one server working there was clearly being forced to do far too much but was very kind and pleasant. She was sitting people, topping drinks, taking orders, bringing out food, following up etc. absolutely no complaints about her just poor management putting too much on one person. The food was....well bland. We got garlic noodles, chicken wings, egg rolls, and an empanada. The empanada was the only thing of real flavor and was good, the rest they spent more time on making it look good and money on the dish it came in than the food itself. The garlic noodles had very little flavor and the chicken in it was dry and tough, the egg rolls were mushy and unappealing, the chicken wings were dry and tough, etc. Nothing really worth coming back for except maybe food from the empanada place. Overall very disappointing and left us wanting to get food elsewhere to cleanse our pallettes. On top of that we ordered wagyu sliders that just....never came out. When we were leaving we brought this up and it took 10 mins to get the managers attention so that they could refund the food we never received. No explanation, no apology, and the manager never came out and just sent the bartender to tell me it was refunded. My unconfirmed suspicion is that the manager didn't want to came out and put a name to the face that was smoking a vape at the bar. If that was not the manager breaking Arizona law by smoking a vape indoors at the bar, it was certainly someone on staff that when I glared at slinked back to the kitchen area. Altogether it was something I was excited for that is not what it is advertised as and does poorly at what it is trying to do. Not worth giving them a second chance unfortunately. read more

Just got back from Tempe Eats today, and it's definitely going to be my go-to spot for NFL season. Went with a buddy to watch some baseball, and we had an awesome time. The place is loaded with big screens everywhere, so it's perfect for watching any game. The atmosphere is chill but lively--exactly what you want in a sports bar. The self-serve beer wall is a game-changer. With 40 different beers on tap, we had a blast trying a bunch of them, and it's perfect for switching things up throughout the game. The staff was super friendly and always there to help if you needed anything. I've already decided to have my fantasy football draft party here. With all the screens and great beer selection, I can't think of a better spot. If you're looking for a place to catch the game or plan your draft party, Tempe Eats is where it's at! read more

I love the concept of Tempe Eats: 10 restaurants and bars under one roof. First, the drinks... The biggest beer wall around with 42 taps, but don't worry if you're not a beer gal because there's also a wine bar and a cocktail bar. My faves are the lychee martini, the EspressoTini, and the Neaux Fashioned. Then, the food is fabulous! You can get sushi, ceviche, wings, Cotija street corn, BBQ brisket, VooDoo pasta, or charcuterie all from the same place, so no more catering to the pickiest eater in the group. Pro Tip: You can get bottomless mimosas for $25 during weekend brunch, which is served 10:30-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The place has a really cool vibe, kind of like a food court with a variety of options to choose from, which made it perfect for our cravings. Honestly, there were so many options that it did make my head hurt trying to decide! We started with some wings and chips with salsa, which were both delicious! I decided to try the yakisoba with chicken and sushi, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were fantastic and the portion was generous. Visited this place for the first time and I highly recommend it. I was greeted at the door by John and he asked if it was our first time, we said yes and he welcomed us in and told us about the place. It's a Food Hall concept with 5 restaurants and a bar and a giant self pour beer wall! We all tried something different (FishPop, Sushi, Tacos) and the food was delicious. The rest of staff was friendly as well, but having John welcome us in and explain the process made the experience a little better.. We will be coming back. They have a ChikPop sandwich that looked delicious and we want to try that. 5 Stars read more

Entering into the review contest/raffle that Ja'Hira (the hostess) told us about. Great food and service! We ate at Random AF. Overall loved the food! 2 minor errors: the birria egg rolls were a bit too greasy and the mulita taco didn't come with 2 tortillas with the meat in the middle, just as a normal street taco.
